Hi Ladies
How is every one travelling? Welcome to the new ladies hope your stay is short and sweet.
Mez - I'm nauseous all day yuck. Started on Monday. Which being 6 weeks now is about right for my MS to kick in. I haven't thrown up as yet but I feel gross.
thank you all so much for the warm welcome!
it really means a lot speaking to people who are going through the same things.
Hey ladies
hope everyone is traveling along ok. Welcome to the two newies hope you girls find this forum as informative and supportive as i did and still do :)
Mes, ive been SOOOOOOOO tired i first noticed this just days after the egg was transfered, i just put it down to everything being finished and i was able to let go but nope it must have been that lil bubba working, other that tired my boobs are pretty sore i think they have gotten bigger (im big already so hard to really tell) and i need to pee lots - even at night, i nearly wet the bed when it started lol no morning sickness as yet
bugga sory again, i forget i have to remove the ticker :(
Hi Keli
I was prescribed Dianette as a contraceptive but also for facial hair.It has the highest amount of oestrogen. I think they might have tested years ago for PCOS but only through ultrasounds and hormone tests. When they first started investigating the irregular periods I was early 20s and not in a relationship where I wanted kids. The fertility doc said to 'go away and come back when I wanted to get preganant - as I would need help!!!' If only I knew then what the implications would be. Now i'm back at him and hurtling towards 35. Does anyone feel really emotional on Clomid? - I was a miserable toad last night and ended up in tears. This hasn't happened before - it might just be a build up of emotions but i felt really stupid!!
Anyway, only 1 more tablet and the countdown begins again...........
I went a bit mental on clomid too...also had insomnia, felt constantly agitated and had hot flushes.... at least I kinda know what menopause will be like now!
Hi lovelys :)
Just popping in to let you know i had abother scan today and everything seems fine now phewwww. The separation that they seen last week had fixed its self up and the babys heart is beating at 128. The ultrasound man said the bleed was probably just from the seperation.
So hubby and i are relaxing more and i cant help myself but tell people now lol

Hi Ladies
Hope all is well and you all had a great week end.
Hey Ladies,
Hope you are all well.
Just thought I’d pop in for a bit of a whinge. A girl at my work yesterday announced she’s 9 weeks pregnant, she’s 22yo and got married 7 weeks ago. The first time they had unprotected sex was on their wedding night, and surprise…they’re UTD. Seriously????? What is the deal with that. Arrrrrrh!!!!! Sorry just having a bit of a moment. I just keep trying to tell myself that I will be a better, more understanding person because of what I have been through and I know that if DH and I can get through this struggle then we can make it through anything.
Anyway, enough of that. AFM – Took day 5 of Clomid last night so am now starting OPK’s and will hopefully ovulate in the next week and a half. I have always been told not to DTD everyday but to do it every second day. But you know what? That hasn’t worked for the past year so DH and I have decided to DTD everyday from day 12 until I O. Fingers crossed all that sperm will get into just one little egg.
Is anyone still on there 2WW? Or are we all into our new cycles now?
My thoughts are with you all on this amazing struggle.
Kel xxoo
Hey Keli,
That just plain sucks! I'm happy for her that she doesn't have to go through what we are/have but for pete's sake, why is it soooo easy for some and not the rest of us?!
I start Clomid tonight. We are taking a similar approach to you & DH- not DTD every second day... Again, it hasn't worked for the past 5 cycles, so why would it for this one?! I am going to use OPK's too and then go for it! Most people not on Clomid use OPK's and have success!
Anyway, better go and do some housework or something.....
x
Hey Julia,
Yes totally sucks I know. Whilst I would never wish this journey upon anyone I also don’t like having it shoved in my face how easily some people get preggas. I hate it when people say “All I have to do is lie down and I’m pregnant”. Oh well, I’ll cheer up and stop being such a grouch soon.
Wow so you’re starting Clomid tonight? That must mean that we are very close in our cycles. GL I hope you don’t have too many side effect this round. And yes I agree DTD everyday sounds like fun for us too. I have a few friends that have had success on OPK’s so I’ve been using them for the past few months also, they’re just hard read that’s all.
GL with everything, chat soon
Xxoo
Hi girls
just coming to say hi to everyone and to wish you all well :)
AFM - nothing much has changed, i had another ultrasound last week and everything is as it should be so im much more relaxed.
Hope there are some BFP's VERY soon xxoo
Hey Tammara,
So glad to hear everything is going well. Yes I too hope we have many more BFP’s on this site VERY VERY soon!
GL with everything, chat soon
Xxoo
Aw Keli, That is so hard to hear how easy it is for other isnt it. Like you said you would wish it upon anyone but just sux that we all have to go to this extreme and takes forever and some people it happens straight away..
I do believe that tho it does make you appreaciate it so so much more, and i truely believe that there will be a special bond between you and that miracle baby of your when he/she is ready. I hated everyday when me and DH were TTC the 2 years were the hardest ever. But no i honestly believe that everything happened for a reason and this little bub that i have inside me was meant to be ours and if we didnt do everything that we did we wouldnt have this most precious bub.. It will happen and when it does im sure you will feel the same.. Hugs to you and hoping this round works.. ;)
Tammara so glad everything is all on track with you, Bubby growing nicely in there now and before you no it you will be getting all the big kicks that keep you awake all night, Its the best feeling..
As for everyone else, welcome all the newbies and im praying for each and everyone still TTC for that BFP that we all deserve...
Me... Im 26 weeks 1 day.. Everything is going great, we have 4d scan in 2 days DH and i cant wait to see our little one again. Get lots of kicks everyday Dh just talks near my belly and bubby goes crazy with kicks..
Hi all,
Keli - I totally hear you... I just moved to a new place and whenever I meet new people, they have 1 questions:
1. how long have you been married?
2. have you got any kids?
Also, at the moment I'm studying, and in the past month, 2 of my classmates have given birth, and 3 are pregnant. It's pretty tough...
AFM - onto third day of clomid today. though hopes are pretty low for this cycle considering hubby's 2nd sperm analysis came back pretty much the same as the 1st one (morphology is not good). He still needs to go to a urologist though, so just waiting to get an appointment before we can see the FS and discuss the next steps.
Hope everyone's doing well!
Hi ladies
Yup I totally empathise with feeling grrr when hearing about other people getting UTD so easily. But Frustrated is right - the individual journey that we are all going on to conceive will mean that when we all get to that stage of holding that long awaited bubba in our arms, it will all be worth it and we will appreciate that precious little bundle more than words can ever explain. Hang in their girls - your time will come (I can't believe I just wrote that - I used to hate it when people told me my "time will come when it's meant to!")
GL to all the girls starting or already on this round of clomid. I reckon DTD every day is a good idea if you and DH can manage it and not get too stressed by the fact you 'have to do it' (this used to be quite an issue for DH at times...)
AFM I went to the doc today to get some blood tests (my naturopath wants to check iron etc) and I also asked for a confirmation that I'm UTD. I am still having a hard time believing it because I have no symptoms really except for feeling a bit tired. I'm 5 weeks on Thursday and I want big boobs already! (I'm incredibly flat chested so will enjoy a bit of cleavage for once in my life!)
Keli - I would love a BB belly buddy! When I fell pg with DD, I never joined in the BB threads here, not sure why? Anyway, fingers crossed for us - I hope this cycle is the one as it will put me in the Dec EDD, not that I'd mind a 2011 baby ;)
Tammara - Awesome news with the u/s. So glad everything is ticking along nicely :)
Frustrated - 4D scan! I've seen the 3D ones & they are unreal!
Michal - Sorry to hear that DH's sperm analysis come back not so good. My DH come back 'normal', so I am unsure what is invovled with the urologist.... I hope the appt with the FS goes well. Hugs to you
Mez - Be careful what you wish for! Being a large bb lady (DD's) I can assure you they are not all that great, particularly when you get pg & they just get bigger! lol It had no symptoms of being pg, except for the tiredness, which is a bit scary but I am a sook when nauseous / sick, so I am glad I didn't have to endure that :)
Morning Ladies,
Frustrated, I was literally in tears reading your post last night, thanks for the encouragement and for understanding how I feel. Wow 26weeks already? I cannot believe how quickly that has gone. GL for the 4D scan.
Michal, OMG don’t you just think that they are the most inappropriate questions? I had a doctor as me and DH the other day how long we had been married, then asked if we had and kids and we said no, THEN he said “but you want kids yes”? OMG I could have punched him in the face. I just wanted to yell at the top of my lungs “Yes of course we want kids but we’re having some trouble conceiving”! Arrrr people just don’t get it do they? So sorry to hear about DH’s results, now morphology is the shape of the sperm right? I’ve never heard of a urologist before is that like a guy specialist? GL with that, I’m thinking our paths to IVF may be very similar soon.
Hey Mez, Yes I agree I can’t believe you just said that, I know your right but still cant believe you wrote it, haha! Yes DTD everyday can be stressful, in the past DH has had some issues there but we seem to be on a bit of a roll at the moment so I’m just sticking with it whilst it lasts. GL for the BT, I’m sure all will be great.
Hey Julia, Yes I too am very hopeful about this month, a Dec2010 bub would be perfect, like you said though a 2011 one would also be fine.
Bec, you still out there? Haven’t heard from you in a few days. You all done with Clomid for this month now?
Jess85, are you still out there Jess? Sending you massive hugs if you are, would love to hear from you so pop in (even just briefly) if you can!
GL to everyone else, this month is going to be a good one, I can feel it.
Mez, apart from feeling tired i didnt really have any other symptoms right at the start either, although feeling quite nauseas in the morning. It didnt take long however for the boobs to begin to ache incredibly and YES get quite big, i went up a size within a few weeks..
Keli, I didnt mean to make you cry  But i promise you that is how it will be..Without even knowing you i already know that you will make such a wonderful mum just from your posts i can tell that your little bub is there waiting for its time to come & already know's how lucky it will be to have a mum that is so determined and focused to have this bub and give all the love you have to him or her.. ;)
OK Frustrated I must just be emotional at the moment cos I’m crying again, ha ha! Don’t worry they are good cry’s not bad ones. Thanks again, you’re words are so beautiful. I’m hopeful this month so with any luck I will completely understand what you mean soon.
Ok ladies I have a questions here, I have read people talking about there cervix being high and soft and therefore they know they are ovulating. How the heck can I tell if my cervix is high and soft. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Ta
I have to agree 100% with frustrated about it happening at the right time. I can now understand that my m/c was just not the right time for me to have my bub reason being is that 2 months after i found out i ended up having my gal bladder taken out among other things and now i feel so much more at ease about things.
My cousin watched a program about phsycis or something spiritual and they said that the baby choses us when its ready to be born so your baby is out there just waiting to find you lovely ladies :)
Yeah, sorry Keli - I haven't bothered with the checking the cervix thingy either - I couldn't find my cervix so gave up. I did temp for a while but orally but that gave me the irites after a while so I stopped that too! Geez, given my wanting a baby so much you'd think I'd stick out that stuff a little longer.....!
Hi guys!
Sorry I've been off with the pixies for a while: big weekend! How is everyone. I scrolled back through the past few pages, but it's hard to keep up when you've been away for a few days.
Keli- I'm still here! Finished Clomid, and oddly enough I had headaches, hot flushes, insomnia, neusea, the works! Haven't had any symptoms for months! Oh well.
Tammara- glad everything appears back to normal. Enjoy the pregnancy now!
Mez- good luck with the blood test! Hope all is well.
Porshe- Hope you are well and enjoying being UTD!
Frustrated- not long now! You must be super excited. Enjoy the 4D ultrasound.
Julia- I've never stuck with temping either! Mine where too erratic, and I could tell what was happening so I stopped. Not into checking my cervix...bad memories after having DS! I must sound like a prude!
AFM- Currently CD11, I think, so still got about 10 days till o. Other than that not much to report.
Stay well everyone!
Bec
Hi every1
It's always good to hear positive news about people who are in a similar position managing to conceive. After reading previous posts, it is hard to stay positive when everyone around you is pregnant though. I'm now on day 10 after my 3 rd of Clomid... keeping everything crossed! We're also tryin the everyday technique - It's hard to manage when your working and both of us have heavy colds!!!! Anyway, I'm less emotional than last week - thankfully! Does anyone feel nauseous the week after taking Clomid?
Keeping fingers crossed for everyone x
Hi Clamgee!
I often feel sick after Clomid. Just that queasy feeling all the time. It's annoying!
Bec
Hey everyone!
Keli - I have heard about checking your cervix but I think you probably need to be careful you don't prod around too much up there and cause damage. I found using OPKs, maybe baby, mucus observations, temps and reading my tarot cards enough to cope with!
Would love to write more but have to dash - will jump back in on the weekend for a proper catch up with everyone. GL to those coming up to O time.
Hi to everyone!
Clamgee - I have been fortunate enough not to experience nausea on Clomid. I usually take it then go to bed. I just get the hot flushes, night sweats, insomnia (what a joy!) Sorry you aren't well, I hope your cold clears up & you feel better. GL for this month.
Bec - Yeah, my temps were all over the shop too - must be cos we wern't oing or something?!
I am on CD 6, so two more days of clomid then I will be using OPK's to try to catch that egg!
Hope you all have great weekends. The weather is going to be lovely in Melbourne this weekend. I am off to the Flower & Garden show as DH is working there on Saturday then I have a 'fun' (?!) run on Sunday :)
Hey ladies,
just thought i would pop in and see how everyone is going and to wish you all the best of luck xxoo
Hi ladies
Sending good vibes to those coming up to O time. Let's hope we have some more BFPs announced on this thread very soon.
Morning Ladies,
Hope you are all well and coming up to O time. Firstly I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for there input into cervix checking. I have done a fair bit of research into it now and have been checking my cervix for about 6 days now, still not sure what I am feeling but they say this is normal and I will learn when time goes on.
Hey Bec, bummer to hear about the side effects of Clomid for you this month, no fun at all. I was lucky enough just to have the hot flushes again. Good luck coming up to O time this month.
Tammara, Mez, Porsche, hope all is going well in the land of UTD.
Clamgee, totally know what you mean about hard to stay positive when everyone else is getting preggas! Chin up, hopefully this is the month for all of us. Yes we are also DTD everyday and have struggled a little over the weekend (will explain further down). It’s hard work when you both work FT and long hours and you poor things having a cold also? Not fun at all. Sorry I haven’t really noticed feeling nauseous after Clomid, hope that has all cleared up for you know.
Hey Mez, what’s maybe baby? I haven’t heard of that before. I am using OPK’s, Mucus observations, temps, and fertility friend but still seem to get a little confused when it comes to O time so thought I would try something else to add t the concoction.
AFM, well as I said DH and I were going to try and DTD every day from end of Clomid until I O, however (and does anyone else have the same/or similar issue) whilst DH can always get it up (TMI I know & I’m sorry) he sometimes finds it hard to come, with all the pressure and all. Does anyone else DH have this issue? So as a result we missed out on Fri & Sat, bummer cos I think I O’d on Friday. Another question…I have posted my fertility friend into my signature if anyone would like to have a look at it. My temp has gone up 3 days in a row now but I have had no other signs of O. No CM, no +OPK’s, totally confused now.
Hope everyone else is well and DTD lots to make that egg become a baby. GL to all.
Chat soon
Hi all
A cycle is such a long wait. isn't it? Even longer than waiting for payday!
I'm looking for info on Basal thermometers and ovulation kits. I have PCOS - should I use any of these - or would my body trick them into believing i'm ovulating?
Thanks for the advice!
Good luck to all this month!
Claudette x
Hi Claudette,
I take my temp every day and use OPK's. Until this month I have always found them very useful. I have heard that Clomid can interfere with them, particularly with the OPK's but have not experienced it myself (until maybe now). I think go for it though, all the help we can get the better.
