wannababymumma - Good luck with the hycosy. I had dye flushed through my tubes about 5 months ago and you are suposed to be more fertile for about 3 months after. It was not very painful at all i expected worse, Just make sure you take pain killers before hand i took nurofen.
RhiChiChi - It must be a huge emotional rollercoaster. I'm going to start IUI in January moving onto IVF in March if i need to and that's the light at the end of my tunnel i hope. It must be so disapointing when it does not work. I know i will be shattered it it does not work as my DP and i have decided on 2 IUI's and 2 IVF's if that does not work i'm too scared to think about it so we will see. What are you doing next another IUI or are you moving on to IVF?
nothing2lose - Really sorry about AF showing up. Hopefully round 5 will be the one good luck.
Yas - Thanks. Good Luck with trying to put on weight which must be just as fustratring as trying to lose it. Hopefully we will both get there in the end. Great Attitude Keep It Up
Joeve - Welcome. Yes i have regular AF and ovulate and have taken clomid all up with breaks about 16 months. Honestly not sure about progrestrone level seems low to me but honestly not sure could be wrong.
Clairesmummy - Welcome. No need to be nervous about clomid everyone is different with side effects i dont get many so hopefully you will be the same, hope so.
AFM: Finally got DP to do a sperm analysis, everything was good. Please dont think i'm a b***h but i was hoping they would find something we could fix with him now instead its come back to me and being my fault which i find very fustrating i have done everything i can think of in the last 29 months to fall pregnant and nothing has worked so back to the drawing board. I have to say i'm very very fustrated but that's ok have now got my head in the right space and starting to diet properly with some will power this time. Cause let's face it if i dont fall pregnant it will now be my fault.
SENDING EVERYONE LOTS AND LOTS OF BABY DUST BRING ON THE BFP'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !
-
Hi All,
Rai - I don't think you are a b***h for thinking that, we all think "irrational" thoughts from time to time, that's what makes us human. But really, it's not your fault anyway! I know that you are no doubt tired of hearing it (because I know I am), but it will happen, so you need to try and relax (don't worry if you are thinking that you want to throw something at me, because I think that about everyone who tries to tell me to "relax" too!). We all have our FX'd for you.
It's very quiet in here at the moment... Anybody out there?
AFM - I had a tiny amount (like a drop) of brown blood on Sunday. Not really sure what that was about. Not sure what's going on this cycle as I either missed ovulation altogether (would have had to have been earlier than usual because I tested on the days it was due), or I haven't ovulated this cycle. Had the usual pre-ovulation twinges around day 13/14, or so I thought, but then almost nothing until last night & today and now I feel like AF has started or is about to, but nothing so far. Oh the joys of trying to work out a pattern in the things my body does (or doesn't do). A sane person would have given up trying by now!

Wow lots of action on here lately. Just dropping in to say Hi and wishing everyone GL with their journey's.
I'm now CD12 of my 4th round of IUI and go back to the FS on thurs for a follie scan. I can't remember who asked about how many rounds of IUI you can do, it all depends on your situation. DH and I don't have the money at this point to do IVF, so while we are saving we are just going to keep doing IUI, but our FS would do it now if we did have the money. also the success rate is higher with IVF than with IUI as you are still relying on nature a little. Like I said it all depends on your situation as to wether you do IUI or go straight to IVF.
Anyways babydust to everyone and hoping there are going to be lots of BFP xmas suprises on here
-
Hi Ladies,
Just dropping by to give an update. Hope everyone is doing well and we get the best Christmas gift ever a BFP!
Anyway, on CD13 now, havent felt many side effects from Clomid which is good. Today im feeling a slight twinge in my ovaries though.
Using an ovulation monitor, im on high fertility at the moment so hopefully will be ovulating soon!!!
Anyway, wishing the best for everyone oxox
-
Hi Ladies,
Welcome Joeve - I hope your journey here is short! In answer to your question, I am pretty sure that my FS told me that for it to technically be an ovulation the result should be 30+. Without Clomid I my prog levels were around 40 something and jumped to 78 when I was taking clomid (or something like that). Good luck starting your clomid journey in Jan.
Mollie, don't be scared hun, just go with it. Yes, there are a lot of side effects, but just remember one of them being that you could fall pregnant :) Worked for me.
Good luck ladies, and I agree, too long between BFP's on here. :bluedust: :pink-babydust:

Hey all,
sorry I haven't been on much, been extremely busy and haven't had much down time for me this week. Just wanted to pop in & say Hi! to everyone & hope you are all travelling ok atm. Nothing much happening for me, just had a scan & blood and they are upping my dose to get a better result. *sigh* Weather is a bit erratic in Melbourne today - raining, sunny, raining & now storming....
-
how odd is the weather Jules! Thunderstorms, airconditioner, doona and heater tonight, bloody Melbourne hey?
I just wanted to say hi to the newbies! Welcome to the world of clomid, and I hope you get your BFP before long! The ladies here are awesome and a huge support!
I haven't been in for a while so I wont try to catch up! Hope you are all well, and BFP signs are promising.
AFM: I'm CD2, I took primolut to induce AF last week and she arrived (painfully) yesterday. So jabs start tomorrow, I'm just waiting to hear from FS as to what dose to start on. I was 112 last time so I'm assuming that's where I start? IUI girls, can you help?
I am feeling positive this month. Holidays in 2 weeks and 1 day, and what can possibly be bad with a cycle that begins on the
1st of the month!? Ironically I know the cycle I conceived DS began on the 6th Dec, so may I'm extra fertile (well slightly more than 0!) in December. FX hey!
Stay well, chins up everyone,
Bec
-
Hi Pumpgirl! How are you and bubs going? Do you have any ideas/feelings on sex of the baby yet?
Jules/Bec - I would usually say that that's just the typical Melbourne weather, but Sydney has been just as bad!! You can wake up and think that it's going to be cold, and by mid morning you are dying cause you are too hot in what you wore to work! It's been a very weird week for weather.
Bec - I hope that all goes well for you this month! FX'd that December is a fertile month! Who knows, maybe it's something to do with all the festive cheer and I guess it also gives us something else to think about.
AFM - Don't think I ovulated this month, so just waiting for AF now... *sigh* I was so set of an early Christmas present, but it's not going to be the case, I don't think!
-
Hi WBM, I am going really well actually. Feeling good, but now starting to get to that tired stage again - 23 wks tomorrow. We are getting close to opening our fine food store so there are lots of other things to keep focused on, which in turn is making this PG fly by so fast (too fast)!! As for gender, at first I thought girl, then since the 19 wk scan I have been thinking boy, but just the past day or two I am back to thinking girl again - so really no idea!?!?!? Will be happy with either and can see myself with boy or girl, all I want is a healthy, happy baby. Sounds so stereotype I know! How do you know you didn't ovulate, did your FS do a progesterone test? I was confident that I didn't ovulate on the cycle that I fell PG so don't give up hope!! How did you go with IVF, did you decide to make an apt?
-
Pupmgirl, wow 23 weeks, it just doesn't seem that long ago you were anouncing your pregnancy. Best of luck with the store opening soon, must be getting very exciting.
Rhi, don't worry too much about having to up the dose, my second cycle I started at 37.5 iu, and had to go up to 75iu which created a big enough follie. Then on my 3rd cycle I started at 75iu, then went up to 112iu for 2 weeks and ended up having 150iu for a week which made me o by myself. This cycle started at 150iu and it only took 1 week to grow a big enough follie. As you can see my 3rd cycle was quite long 4 weeks of jabbing which did my head in and I was extremely emotional and just wanted it to be over, but what kept my going was my DH and the FS saying that every cycle can be different and it is a bit of a guessing game as to what your body wants to do. Just keep thinking positive.
Bec oh poo on AF being painful. Your FS will prob get you to start on that, and like I just said to Rhi, my FS has said to me that every cycle can be different. Hopefully this will be your month and you will be getting a fabulous xmas pressie.
WBM I'm with Pumpgirl, how do you know you didn't o, you might have o'd a little later. GL.
AFM my scan went well on Thurs, I had 1 follie on my right and went back on Fri for my trigger shot. So a little glad it is nice snuggling weather up here in Brissie this weekend for DH and I to keep busy ;)
So looking forward to having some xmas BFP's on here.
-
Hi all! Hope you are all well.
Bec - Well today the weather is gorgeous hey?! Might rain later though - you never know! lol GL for this cycle. I hope December is an omen month for you! My dose this cycle was increased to start at 75, previous cycle I started on 50 and it increased to 67, so I think it really depends on how they think you are going on what dose. It took me to about CD19 from memory to either do the trigger or AI last cycle.
Mel - Keep Bding - you never know. You might just have O later than you thought. GL x
Pumpgirl - So glad you are feeling & going well with your pg! I never really had a clue what Rhianna was going to be - I don't know how you tell really? I think alot of theories about how you carry are just that, theories.
Liz - GL for this weekend - I hope you catch that egg!
AFM - Have a scan on Monday & probably a blood test to see how I am going - assuming I will trigger sometime this week & AI a couple of days later - that is if the follie (there was only one again) has responded well. The nurse did say that they hope I don't over stim with the higher dose :s
-
Thanks for all the encouragement everyone. The reason I thought that I might not have ovulated is because I didn't get the usual full on twinges and no OPK+. If I did ovulate, I think it was earlier rather than later as I didn't start OPK testing until I thought I was due to ovulate (around day 17), so I could have missed it if it was early. My doctor isn't doing any BT's so, I won't really ever know for sure (unless I miraculously get a BFP). Based on my usual cycle, I should be due for AF any day now, so if she does't arrive I'll POAS, but I have been so proud of myself as I only did one last month and so far none this month!! The strangest thing I have noticed this month is the complete lack of SE in this second half. I thought I was going to ovulate as I felt sick around the middle of the month (like I did in the first cycle), but now, I don't feel anything other than some bb soreness sometimes. Don't even feel like AF is on the way, and usually I would by now. I hope I don't get stuck in no mans land for weeks waiting for AF!!
Pumpgirl - WOW 23 weeks! You really are flying along! And the store opening, how exciting your life must be at the moment!! Do you get that sense of everything just falling into place? You sure you're not having twins? Maybe there is a boy and a girl in there!!?? lol... Not going onto IVF yet, just going to have the HyCoSy first, if there are blockages then we will head that way, but otherwise will give the flushing of the tubes with the HyCoSy a few months to see if that makes a difference.
Liz - So glad you had a good follie this month, lets hope it's "the one"! Has the Brisbane weather been as crazy as the weather down here in Sydney? My Dad lives in Wagga and they have been in drought for so long, now they are flooded!
Jules - FX'd for you this cycle, it only takes one follie, so you never know!
Come on stork, we all need some good news for Christmas please!!
-
Hey ladies
hope everyone is doing well and getting geared up for Christmas!
Im due to ovulate today or tomorrow and im feeling intense pressure in my pelvis area. Do you think thats because of Clomid or just normal ovulation pains?
its uncomfortable but not painful but i do feel like peeing alot lol.
Yes to teh good news for Christmas for everyone please!
-
Hi Ladies just popping in to let you know AF arrived for me today and I start my Clomid journey this coming friday.....Feeling a little excited about it at the moment but as Friday draws closer I'm sure the nerves will kick in a little with all the what if's and maybes.....lol.....
Good luck to everyone in the 2WW, FX for lots of BFPs for Xmas. And a huge thank you for all the warm lovely welcomes.
-
Welcome Clairesmummy!
Looks like there's a few newbies starting clomid :) How exciting for everyone. I'm sure you'll find it's not as bad as you read.
Hello to everyone else, haven't had much to report lately. Today i started having some O pains so hopefully i will O in the next couple of days. I'm on CD 16 today and my last cycle was 36 days with O pains for about 2 days before i suspect i actually did O. Although the pains don't seem as intense as last cycle???
Anyways, Good luck to everyone, I know theres a few entering the TWW!
-
Mel - Best of luck - I hope the lack of SE is not an indication of a neg...... all pgs are different, so you never know.
M2OSB - I don't know the answer to your question, sorry. I didn't have any different pain on Clomid... I would say you are about to O - what CD are you?
Clairesmummy - GL on Clomid. I hope you get a positive result quickly! Remember to take it in the evening to lessen the SE during the day
Tasha - You better get BDing! Catch that egg girl!
AFM - Nothing much to report, go back on Friday for another scan - my follies haven't got much bigger... :S
-
Tasha~ Thank you for the welcome hun, good luck with catching that egg and I have my FX for a BFP for you.
RhiChiChi~ Thanks for the welcome and advice on taking Clomid at night to hopefully lessen the SE. I have no doubt in my mind that I will have a million and one questions to ask you ladies when I start taking it. I am totally clueless going into this. I just hope and pray it works for us, I hate the thought of having to go through endless testing. Good luck for your scan on Friday darl hope those follies have grown a bit for you.
-
Hi girls!
Clairesmummy- Glad your journey is beginning! Hopefully this cycle will be for you and you'll get a BFP pretty close to Xmas!
Jules- My follies are late bloomers too. I hope your scan on Friday is positive and you're ready to o
Tasha- I hope you are o'ing and you catch that egg, hon! Good luck!
mum2osb - sounds just like the o pain is usually get on clomid! FX for you
mel- you just never know whether you o or not! How annoying is it? I hate not knowing! I hope you did and it's a BFP for you!
Liz- I hope the TWW goes super fast and you have your BFP in time for Xmas. It's your time, I reckon!
AFM: CD6 for me and day 4 of jabbing. Feeling GRUUUUMPEEEEE! I almost yelled at my boss today, which would not have been a good move since I'm going for a promotion tomorrow! I held my tongue though (with great difficulty). DH has NOT been so lucky! I go for my first follie scan on Friday which is only CD10, but becasue I just started on the last dose and I haven't actually spoken to my dr, so I want to make sure I don't Hyperstim.
It' odd you know, I have this funny feeling that this is our month, and I HATE it when I fell like that; I'm so much more dissapointed when AF arrives. I'm trying to tell myself, it's just another month; no big deal, but I'm having trouble with that right now!
Any who, on another note, DS got his plaster off today! Can you believe it's been 6 weeks already! Gosh time has flown this half of the year.
Hugs to everyone who needs one, and even those who don't!
Bec
