I will ask for scans next time. Af is due in about 2 weeks (i think judging on my last 2 cycles) When it comes they told me to call and make an appointment for after day 21 to discuss my Bt results. In the meantime i can call on Monday to see if i did ovulate this cycle (i can't wait!!) Unfortunately we havn't covered all bases this month though. The stress is just getting too us and causing arguments:(

I have not been on for a while my computer is not working. Its still not working but am using DS1 lap top my computer has been not working since the begining of last week and my wonderful DS1 only just told me this morning his lap top is working then had an argument cause he did not want to lend it to me even though his at school not using it. Teenages are wonderful sometimes.
I will have to go back and read over everyones to find out where everyone is at sorry.
AFM: I got AF last wednesday but i did expect it this month. It's truely like a miracle has occured my DP would just not even discuss trying IUI or IVF he was just so stubborn but finally got him to listen and i told him we were doing IUI in Jan and Feb and if that has not worked IVF in March and April so i'm feeling alot more positive i can see a light at the end of the tunnel. Has anyone heard any good things about city fertility Robina? Also do you think its worth trying sharkeys and accupunture?? Thanks for listening to me ramble on and for any advice you can give me:D
Hello everybody! I have been trying to concieve no 2 for about 2 and abit years. I have actually concieved 3 times in that period, but sadly lost them.
So i have just started chlomid this month on days 2-7. I normally don't ovulate until day 22-23 of my cylce, which is normally 34-38 days, but what do you know, im on day 15 today and yesterday i got a pos OPK!!!! :D
I start progesterone tonight, as i have a really low progesterone which my OB thinks is causing my miscarriages.

How exciting for you! :D Clomid is good for speeding things up, i used to have really long cycles before. Everything used to be such a slow process. Have you had any side effects yet? I haven't had any, except maybe a bit moody (or so my DH says!)
Just try to keep yourself busy these two weeks, I know, easier said than done right?

tasha- no, no side effects yet! :D the only thing i have had is Ovulation pain, and a little spotting in EWCM. This is unusual for me, i have only had it this month and last month. this is only my 2nd cycle since my m/c, could have something to do with it??
and golly gosh, 100+ day cycles? you must be so happy on chlomid! FX for you that you have O'd! (and NOT ) missed it!

You can get spotting when you ovulate so I'm guessing that's what that was. It's a good indicator that ovulation happened. My cycles started to shorten naturally before i started clomid, but i don't think I was ovulating all the time. At least now with the clomid i will be able to know if I am ovulating. Thats great that your not having any side effects, are you taking them at night? all the ladies here told me to take them at night to avoid the hot flushes, and it works.
I'm pretty sure I'm out of the game this month, but now i know what my body is telling me I'll definitely have a good crack at it next cycle!!

I am currently on my fourth round of clomid and, for some reason, I am finding I am really in a *****y PMS-type mood. EVERYTHING is annoying me and I am very impatient and intolerant. Those that know and love me might say I am always like that but I feel much worse than I normally do! Not sure why...
To answer your question PX, my clomid rounds are being monitored by a FS (she is a reproductive endocrinologist with MIVF). GPs wouldnt prescribe it for me.
I am CD12 today. DP and I have a review appointment with the FS tomorrow morning to decide where to from here. I dont think we are bothering with IUI and we will just go straight to IVF. I think it will be for the best seeing as the biological clock is ticking.
Anyway, hope everyone else is well. Sorry for no persies. Just knackered. Apparently being a ***** is very tiring LOL!

Don't worry, I think it might be something in the air as I am exactly the same! Cranky, irritable cow one minute, sulky & sooky the next and very little inbetween!!
Tasha- no, i took them in the morning. It really sucks that u missed this month- next month? :D
PX- My GP sent me to my OB to get my pescription, but he will monitor me throughout the month. I have to go back to my OB to get my prescriptions though. GL :D
N2L- thanks for the welcome! I swear by BB now, i thank god every day that my friend who has been a member for ages told me about it after my last m/c!
AFM- I had alot of pain in my tummy last night, no idea what it was! maybe O pain?? anyway, if by some miracle i get a BFP after this TWW (:crossfingers: ) where do i post it? 12 days till testing aaaarrgh!!!!

Yas, PX, Tasha - welcome! Starting on clomid is such a daunting and overwhelming feeling, there is so much emotion from frustration to hope that runs through your veins when you start off. Add to the mix the side effects that drive you insane. From my own perspective I found this forum and the group of girls who post here to be a godsend. Everyone is so lovely and supportive and really helpful. It's important to be able to vent and share your feelings with people who truely understand. There is no else out there that will understand as well as these lovely ladies. To give you hope I got my BFP after my second cycle on clomid, I was TTC for 12 months prior to this. I hope your journeys are as successful as mine! Good luck xx
N2L & WBM - I was a raging maniac on clomid, it actually reminded me of when I was on the pill Diane. One minute I was nice, the next minute a total b*tch, the next I was crying like a total baby. Clomid does this to you. I remember on my last cycle, DH and I had a massive fight about me going to Melbourne for his friends fiance's hens. We fought all morning and then we went to the movies with a friend of ours, and spent the whole time scowling at each other (our poor friend). It did settle down for me when I got my bfp - so something to look forward to. How are you guys going with other SE. N2L, how did you go with your specialist apt. Will be good for you to have a next steps action plan, although I hope you don't have to use it and you get your BFP this cycle.
Kris - was good to see you pop your head in and say hello, I have been thinking about you and wondering how your going. I hope that your next steps are succesful, but I am pleased to hear you are being kind to yourself and giving yourself a break. I know how much you want this. It will happen hun!
Bec - How are you going? How is your DS? You & Jules are always on my mind and I always jump on when I see you two have posted in hope that I see your BFP post. How is your weightloss going? I had a little giggle at your post about DTD and thought that would be murphy's law if you ended up with triplets!! Would be exciting for you though. How long have you got to wait now before you can test?
Liz & Clamage - I was sorry to hear that you both had no follies :( that must have been devastating. Liz, I know it feels like you aren't "meant" to have children, but believe me that isn't true. I honestly think that this all happens for a reason. For me, I was feeling really down about it, but when it happened looking back on it now the timing was perfect and everything fell into place it was like it was all meant to be. You will be a great mumma and this will eventually be behind you and it will just feel like a bad nightmare. Hang in there sweetie.

AFM: Well after all the hoo haa with missed scans and the like I'm not sure what is happening with me. I think I ovulated last Mon/Tue, but who knows. I got a blood test Monday to see if I did, I'm just waiting for the results. I think nothing is happening, and it'll just have to induce an AF. I'm also sick with the flu, so I'm all over the place.
I will be in more often I promise!

Tasha - Starting Clomid is a bit suck it see unfortunately :S It is hard to gauge what is going on without monitoring. I only had bloods taken on CD21 to confirm I had O'ed, which showed I did but I had no luck on Clomid, so that is why I am doing IUI (I just hand around here cos the IUI thread is soooo quiet plus I love all the gals here!)
The side effects I had on Clomid were insomnia, hot flushes & the really bad emotional stuff - I was particularly prone to 'losing it' at the drop of a hat :/
Pumpgirl - Glad to hear all is progressing well for you, 20 weeks has flown by :)

Havent got much time for a post but thought I would stick my head in and give an update re: our review appointment with the FS yesterday. DP did an andrology test and the results were really good so that is a bit of a relief. We have booked in to start IVF in February (antagonist and ICSI) so that's a pretty big step. In the meantime, I will continue with clomid. The big surprise when I was there I had a scan to check follicles. Although I was only CD13 I had a 20mm follie on my right ovary. In a nutshell, this means my follies are getting bigger earlier. I am about to surge (according to HPK) so it will be a weekend of BD-ing for us ; - )
Anyway, just a quick update - as I said.

Well I need some help (as usual)! Anyone have LPD? I realised that the two months that I have now ovulated, my period is coming way too early! The first month, my GP told me I probably just ovulated twice, once earlier and then the time I picked it up with OPK+ (which was a nice thought), but I don't think that is the case and the same thing happened this month. I got AF last night, and I was only about 10 DPO, maybe 11. It was exactly the same the last month I ovulated 10/11 DPO. I realise this is treatable, but I think it has highlighted the need for more a more hands on approach with blood tests/follie scans etc. I guess that's what I find frustrating about doctors. They love to give you some advice and a prescription and send you away for a few months and hope you don't come back! I have my next appointment with the OB/GYN in two weeks, and he said he would refer me onto a FS is I wasn't pregnant by then, and now I am definitely going to pushing for it!
I read too, if the LPD is related to a the Coprus Luteum, that a higher dose of Clomid may actually improve the follicle and there fore CL quality and fix the LPD? Has anyone here had success with lengthening their lutuel phase with Clomid? I am only on 50mg, thinking that maybe it's enough to get me ovulating, but not enough for good quality egg formation...?

I dont think I can help per se other than to say my LP has been a little bit all over the place in the four months I have been on clomid. I did have one month where I think it was 12 days, but then another that was definitely 15 days. I have been on 100mg of clomid the whole time.
I think you should push to go to the FS. It just increases your chances of Bd-ing the right time and it really is their area of expertise. I guess you could liken it to going to a hairdresser to get your make-up done. They could probably do it but a make-up artist would have you looking your very best (IYKWIM!).

Wannababy - I have heard great things about vitex helping with luteal phases. Maybe look into that? Other wise an FS *may* suggest progesterone???? I would be wanting to see the FS as I tend to agree with Nothing2lose. You need a Dr who really knows what to look for etc....
I've been stalking Tammara's November thread and I read she was being induced on the 10th and bubs being born 11th. So I'm hoping she's holding that little girl in her arms by now.

AFM - We are planning on telling the family this week end. We are now 15 weeks 3 days and still only my Mum and my MIL & FIL know. I don't think we can hold out any longer because I'm going to get a bump lol. We'll a bigger one than I have now. I can't hide it forever but I can hide it for a little longer. We haven't even told my kids yet. Very naughty I know. Hope you all have a great week end!
