LT TTC Two Week Wait 2013 #1

Hummingbird - at my clinic we had to have a session before beginning ivf - it was really just informative. I have been once more since my mc & i found it good to talk/cry to someone outside my friends/family but I'm not sure it's worth the $180. The psych wants me to go back & see her before my bt in this cycle but not sure if I will or not yet. I'm not sure that we can really afford too many sessions when we are already paying for ivf fets & acupuncture weekly & trying to save for a house. It's an individual thing so whatever you feel is best for you. Xx

I've been seeing a psych since June last year (after my 4th unsuccessful transfer) and it has been great. I haven't used the clinic psych, just one I found for myself, and tbh, I don't know if I would be coping if it wasn't for her. I have got a mental health plan from the GP so I get 84.50 back from Medicare now which helps. I think it is important to find a psych you connect with well, the relationship is so important. If its too hard to get to or you don't really feel connected, then you won't stick at it, or find it helpful. At first I was reluctant, but I knew I needed to try, and I am so glad I did.

Does progesterone make anyone else totally emotional?
I'm having a real 'poor me' moment....
I feel like I don't have anyone IRL to turn too, except my poor DH.
Nobody gets me.... Every single friend I have that has TTC whilst I have been TTC has gotten pregnant- some have had there babies already..... I don't hear from anyone anymore.
They all know about IVF, I've been very open, when asked.
It just saddens me that they don't realise what a journey this is- and that I might need support.
I just keep wondering, why me? When is it my turn?

Just jumping in quickly. With MIVF, we were told we could access the counsellor whenever we needed. Fx for you

Great result, Krikkit! I was told they look for a 10-fold increase over a week and you've more than done that! Hope all goes well between now and December.
