HI girls,
Williever-SO FANTASTIC about your news, and such a long hard journey for you too. Congratulations!! And great numbers too! Stickyvibes!
Saffy – I hate the way our body toys with our emotions like that, spotting on and off, it seems really cruel doesn’t it Hoping it’s just implantation spotting and you get a great BT result tomorrow. Here's a  now but I'm hoping to change it to a high five tomorrow! :crossfingers: STAY AWAY AF..
Elocin – those last few days of waiting are by far the worst, hang in there, and AF STAY AWAY.. your symptoms sound promising - hope you get great news this week!
Nothing2lose- those long cycles are killers, hope the scan on Monday shows a good result for yoru planned FET.
Kass – best wishes for your TWW !
.. And a big hi to all the guardian girls looking in on us and hope you’re all doing well too !!
Sorry i’ve been away from the action for a few days, my husband has been working away up north and i’ve been flaking at the end of the day!
Had my mid luteal blood test today (as my clinic does these), and they’re changing my pessaries slightly to up my oestrogen. I’ve remembered that I definitely can’t POAS this cycle as my clinic does HCG injections in the luteal phase at regular intervals, the last one being only 4 days before the final BT so I’d be too scared i’d get a false positive, not sure how long they stay in the system...
Williever, I remember when i got my BFP for our DS, I was at work that day, and I deliberately turned my phone off for the whole day as I was so scared I'd get a negative result!!! I turned it on at 4.45pm with my heart beating in my throat and called the clinic from my work carpark, in the emotional bubble safety of my car!! How great they called you early in the day. So happy for you!

HI girls, sorry to say that AF arrived for me yeaterday, very painful ( physically and emotionally) but at least if there is some HCG in my system I can bring this to my FS and say- there must be something wrong that this keeps happening. I am halfway thinking about getting a second opinion from another FS, so if mine brushes me off this time I definately will.
Deni-sounds like you are 1/2 way throught the tww- congrats! Now the worst bit....good luck with staying sane. Do the HCG injections give you preg symtoms as well? Will you be at home for the phone call this time?? xx
Elocin- are you BT today?????? :goodluck::goodluck::goodluck: sweets, heres hoping for a big fat bfp for you, did you poas this morning- excited for you xx
N2L- thats torture, why do our bodies choose to stuff up just when we need themthe most?? If you do HRT FET, I will be interested to hear how you go as I am doing one next time, but heres hoping you get some o signs over the weeekend and can just do it the easy way IYKWIM xx
Kass- glad you made it in here, best of luck, don't go too crazy hun!! xx
thanks blossom, matthewsmum, willi ( are you still on a high!!?? xx), JBM :grouphug:
-
Saffy - sorry to hear af has arrived. It's never easy  Hope you have better luck with your fs this time around
Deni - how long now till your bt? I haven't heard of hcg being used after transfer before - hope you're in for some good news!
Elocin - fx for good news this week!
ntl - what a pain - hope something happens soon
afm - Woke up last night with bad cramps, two days post transfer - hope it's a good sign and not something I ate! Two days in and I'm already over analysing :)
-
saffy-i'm sorry, wish i had the words to make you feel better, know like so many others on here ,your in my thoughts...
-
just sending sticky vibes to all.
:pink-babydust::bluedust:
good luck TWW ladies.
-
SUPER BIG  Saffy ooo
-
 Saffy..so disappointing. Must be success around the corner for you in your 3 frosties :crossfingers:
Kass, did you have a Day 3 or blastie transfer?
i'm not officially mid-luteal.. my BT is next Friday (15th april) so still quite a wait.
Yes my clinic here really overdo the luteal supports.. but at least i'm not going to make myself go crazy wondering if AF is on the way or not, because the pessaries will keep AF away artificially anyway. Though, maybe it's good to get some warning.. i don't know! :wall: Anyway, so yes in my Perth clinic (where i've recently returned to), they are giving me 4 injections of 1000 iu HCG in my luteal phase, PLUS combination pessaries 3 x day. It's a hassle (have to lie down for half an hour with each pessary), and it means i can't just put it out of my head and pretend IVF isn't happening  When i was having treatment in Adelaide, that clinic ONLY did 2 x HCG injections, NO pessaries (they didn't really believe they provided any lasting benefit), and didn't do a midluteal bloodtest. So there seems to be lots of differing opinions about what is needed!
Doesn't it make it so frustrating though, you never know what to think, and it obviously isnt' an exact science :(
-
Saffy - so sorry that af arrived. I agree with you. Get a second opinion. Def if you brushed off. This is your life. It's important. You shouldn't be brushed off!
Take care x
Deni - that is a lot of leutal phase action. They wouldn't do it if it didn't work though. You be very patient doing all the injections and pessaries. GL x
Kass - I had cramps everyday from day 2. Woken up at night too. Your bub has every chance. Get comfy little one!
Sorry for the short message. Sending sticky sticky vibes to you all.
Afm - still a bit like a stunned mullet. I keep forgetting and remembering every now and then. A bit worried my stress levels are a bit high......work! Just need the weekend to appreciate what's happened. Thank you for all your messages x
-
Hi girls, just a quickie- HCG was 20, AF is getting lighter now, they want me to come back next week for another BT, so annoying but oh well. Need to work out what I am going to do next.
Sticky vibes to everyone!
Kass- that sounds good, fingers crossed for you and everyone xxx
Elocin- when is your test?!?!
-
Saffy I am so, so sorry for your bfn. It is sooooooo hard. And so effing frustrating :(
Please take care of yourself. Take some time to refresh and renew.
We are all thinking of you x
-
-
Congratulations Elocin!!!
Saffy -:hug::hug::hug:
Deni - All the extra meds sound inconvenient - hope they get you a good result :) I had a blasty transferred - testing on Wed
afm - No symptoms. Feeling miserable. Sigh.
-
Big congrats Elocin!
Big Hugs Saffy
Hang in there Kass
Fingers crossed the little embies keep sticking for all you girls x
-
WOOHOO! Nic. Congratulations babe!!!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
-
hey williever how are you?? Has it sunk in yet? Tell me how many goes did it take to get BFP and did you do anything different any tips? so happy for you x
-
Hi Blossom,
I drank full fat milk!! I heard it helps with the lining. Also took CoQ10 for blood flow, but I think the milk helped.
This was actually my first ivf cycle it was just drawn out with the polyp operation in the middle. So then had to wait to do a natural FET. The blasty came out 95% perfect and rehydrated fully. The scientist said it looked like a fresh egg by the time transfer happened.
I wish we had found out about the blocked tube and polyp sooner and had gone to ivf sooner too, but now I get to enjoy pregnancy so can't go on about it.
Has it sunk in? No! I keep getting symptoms that remind me throughout the day, but it keeps slipping my mind. I really think the tiredness has taken over. Hopefully this weekend sees some realisation that our dream has finally come true. As I type this I'm getting emotional. So maybe it is finally sinking in?
Sorry for going on! How are you Hun?
-
YAY ELOCIN!!!! good for you mate, how exciting xxxxxx
-
hi everyone ,congratulations elocin!!!
-
YAARHOO Elocin! :confetti:
-
Hi everyone - sorry but it's a me post
So yesterday I was feeling a bit down and decided that poas was a great idea to cheer myself up.
Well... 2 lines appear - very faint, but there
This morning, two faint lines again
BUT... transfer was only Monday, so my testing is ridiculously early, and my head is telling me that it's probably just the trigger.
I think that trigger should be gone within 7 - 10 days (which would be sometime between this Mon and yesterday), but I'm not sure if I read that or just made it up! I've thrown away my info that came with the shot - Does anyone know the answer?
*Slap on the wrist for me for being so impatient!*
-
Kass, you poor thing
I have always read and heard 10 days for the trigger to leave your system.
That's not to say it isnt a real BFP, but, there's a chance it isnt.
The best piece of advice I can give you is STAY AWAY FROM THE HPTs!!!!!!!!
Of course, I expect you to offer me the same advice in a week or so when I am desperate to test!!!
Good luck...and I really, really hope it is a "real" result!
-
Thanks so very much girls. Your support throughout this has been invaluable and I'll never forget it :grouphug:
Saffy, I'm so sorry my dear :comfort:
Kass, I agree with N2L... stay away from the HPTs hun, you'll only stress yourself out. I hope with everything I've got the 2nd is still there in a week or so
Thinking of you all xo
-
Yeah, that's what I thought.
I try and hold off, but it's so hard! :)
If there was a hpt similar to a diabetic blood sugar test I would be covered in pin p****s from checking every 20 minutes!
-
HPTs are the work of the devil
I am going to market a t-shirt line that says so... ;)
-
hey willi im doing much better now didnt think id get myself back to my happy positive state but i have thank god thru a lot of me time, meditation, healings and not letting the docs fill my head with negative s**t and surrounding myself with positive people and people who believe in me....and lots of cuddles from my furbaby and hubby!!!
so so happy for you, good luck with the pregnancy!
Kass - stay away from those evil things! I hate to say this but i got false positives last cycle from trigger absolutely total mind ****.... but in saying that as well when i was preggas the first go i got 2 lines very early on and they keep getting darker so thats a way you can tell if you are going to keep poas if they get lighter it probably is the pregynl but if darker than it could be bfp!!! Fingers crossed for you it is such a horrible time the 2ww!
-
Congrats to Elocin and Willi, lovely to see BFP as it gives us all hope :)
Kass I was told 10 days but my FS says to not even test a day early than his scheduled date which is 18dpo because of chemical pregnancies etc but it's very easy for him to say!!
AFM - I have been floating around in the background here I'm in the LTTC forum but didn't join the TWW one.. Silly!
Anyhow today was 14dpo or 11dp3dt and today AF appeared :( I'm not surprised as I just didn't feel this transfer worked. Have had on and off spotting since transfer. Still have to do official hpt on tues to notify clinic of results. So anyhow a bit disappointed but coping a lot better that last cycle (5wk m/c). At least will be able to go again in about 2 1/2 weeks if cycle behaves itself... Disappointed as now it will be a 2012 baby :(
Sorry about the moan..
Goodluck to everyone enduring the TWW xo
-
Albi- so sorry about your disappointment I'm giving AF a good kick up the backside for you
Kass - hope u see another 2nd line late this week!
Blossom - read your sig, you've had a rough ride and I really hope this year brings success for you
Me, no symptoms to report .. I thought I felt mildly crampy today butmaybe wishful thinking. Tho cramping is double edged sword for me- I cramped for my Bfp in 2008 but I also cramped for my 2 biochems last year. So I dont know what symptoms I want
-
yipee elocin to your BFP
:-)
:-)
woohoo
kass: throw away any HPT, yes they are evil. but got fingers crossed for you. x x
everyone else: sending out some sticky vibes. x x x x
-
Albi - sorry to hear this one has ended :(
Deni - how are you going? Hope you're getting some positive signs
Thanks JBM and Blossom
afm - Not long to go. No symptoms, feeling pretty sure it hasn't worked. Did another test this morning ( I know, I know, they're completely evil and not to be trusted ) That second line is still there, taunting me
At least I can look forward to having some mojitos on Wed when I get the proper result :)
-
Kass
I dont want to get your hopes up but I would be silently a little bit pleased if I was still getting a positive a week after a five day transfer.
Just saying.... ;)
When is your BT??
n2lx
-
FX Kass- lucky number nine!
-
Thanks ntl and saffy :)
Much as I want this to work, if anything I think it's heading for a chem - my Bt is on wed, and in order to be viable I'd want a result of about 200 - so I figure that by now it should be at least 50 which should be a pretty strong line. It's very faint - darker than before, but not much
-
After 3,402,389,423,942,358 blood tests (approximately) I have finally just got a phone call saying my transfer is tomorrow at 2.45pm.
Assuming of course the embie lasts the thaw
They are thawing it out now so technically it will be a three day transfer .
-
-
good luck to you all in TWW
i've got fingers crossed for some more BFP's in here real soon. x x x x
-
N2lose - YIPPEE you finally have your transfer date !!! Hope the thaw goes perfectly, i'm sure your "mummynursery" is all prepped and ready for a sticky little embie. :crossfingers: We'll be thinking of you tomorrow afternoon!
Kass - the last few days are torture - remember there are heaps of variations with those HPTS in terms of darkness of line so hang in there you might get those numbers you're after!
I've entered the last tortourous 5 days... I've been getting some mild cramping today, i'm confident AF isn't coming because the pessaries will keep them away, but that doesn't make me any more sure what the cramps mean ... it may even be needing-to-use-loo related, you know how sometimes you can't really tell ? Sorry if tmi. Anyway.. BT is this friday.
-
Kass- oh I am so nervous for you. I truly hope those lines stay there, get stronger and you get a strong positive bt result on Wednesday. FX!
N2l- I've got everything crossed the thaw goes well and the transfer goes perfectly! Good Luck tomorrow babe. Will be thinking of you all day xxx
Deni- I know what you mean with the cramping. Getting close for you too. Stick bub stick!
Albi - I am thinking of you xxx
Blossom - thanks for the good luck. Hope you are well.
Sorry if I missed you x
Have a lovely Sunday evening all x
-
Deni - Thanks for the support, dont think AF is welcome in here :D Best of luck with test day!! I agree its really hard to tell what cramp is what..I now ignore them all! I didnt get any signs that AF was showing here head until she arrived, no cramping or anything! In full force now though :(
Willi - Thanks for the thoughts xo Are you getting many symptoms yet? Very exciting for you!
N2L - Will you be going just one embie??
Question to peoples...how many people have more than one embie transfered? My FS is really anti more than one unless you have lots of failed attempts..but I know in America etc its routine to get 2-4 transfered back...like to hear what other people are doing?
Kass - Best of luck with those blood test results, hoping for a lovely high number! Once you start HPT its very hard to stop...'just better see I still get that second line today...' LOL its aweful! I now dont have them in the house besides the ONE the FS gives me to do on test day LOL
AFM - AF is still here in full force...will ring FS Tues (official test day) and will hopefully get a scan at the end of the week to start plan for next FET. Seem to live at the IVF clinic! Worrying when you are at the stage where you know the lives of the receptionists and vis versa and you dont even need to let them know who you are...god! :)
-
Albi, sorry to hear AF arrived hun. I hope you can plan your FET soon and it all goes smoothly
Kass, how are you going my dear? I was thinking about you all weekend!!
Blossom, I think surrounding yourself with postivity and people that believe you is absolutely the best thing. I got rid of some toxic people before starting IVF and it was wonderful not worrying about them all the time. They really aren't worth the hassle.
Deni, I'm sending you all the strength and luck I can muster :goodluck: :crossfingers:
Throwing bucket loads of :stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesboy: :stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesboy: over you all
xo
-
Deni - extra :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy: this week! The last few days are the worst aren't they? Hope it goes quickly towards a bfp for you :)
Albi - my clinic refuse to transfer more than one unless you're over 35. Even after my 8th transfer they told me my risk of twins was too high (yeah right! - after this many attempts with no result I'll suddenly get two at once - are you kidding!!) I have also read that having more than one put back doesn't actually increase the odds of one taking, but does increase the odds of miscarriage - both late term because multiples can be risky, and in the early weeks.
Elocin, williever, JBM - thanks for your thoughts :)
ntl - see you in here later today :stickyvibesboy::stickyvibesgirl:
afm - still torturing myself with the pee sticks  I think it's now safe to say I'm slightly pregnant. Hoping by some miracle it's enough to stick!
