Good Luck Shazey
Hi All......
I was wondering if i could join your thread. I'm TTC unassisted this month due to a laperoscopy and hysteroscopy on the 11th of this month. Had post-op check-up on the 17th and had an ultrasound to see if there were any follicles just in case, and there was one that they thought had either just gone, or was about to go, so DH and I decided to try anyway. Today would be CD24 so thinking about doing HPT next week (if i can hold out that long).
Feeling very tired at the moment. Very bloated with a hard stomach and the last few afternoons i've been a bit nauseas (is that how you spell it???). Little bit of heart burn, and the BB (.Y.) are starting to hurt a little.
Not sure if this means anything. I had a M/C in Feb 04 at 8wks, but can't remember what symptoms i had.
Have been TTC for nearly 4 years and it's like ](*,)
I really need some encoragement and support from people who know what i'm going through. None of my family or friends have been through anything like this and it gets frustrating. Especially since my brother and sister-in-law have just announced that they are pregnant and my mother is sooooo happy that she is finally going to be a grandma. I am happy for them, but it has totally broken my heart.

Welcome Shannon all the best on your TTC Journey with us
Shannon,
Welcome to the thread. I'm very sorry for your four years of suffering ... believe me, you are in good company here and I hope you find the forums as therapeutic as I did.
I take it you have been seeing a fertility specialist or gynaecologist to help you? You mentioned this was an unassisted cycle.
DH and I tried for three years unassisted before we got a referral to Melbourne IVF.
Good luck with your test next week and come back to talk to us soon.
Love,
Mel
Welcome Shannon and I hope we can help you through this tough time in your life. Let's hope you don't need to be here very long.
Hi guys the clinic called this morning to say that the embryos had divided overnight to 2 cells each but they have fragmented.
She said that all embryos fragment to some degree but the amount they fragment is important as they can not be frozen and thawed as they dont like this and she also said that they cannot get them to blast if they are too fragmented. She said one embryo was very fragmented and the other 3 were slightly fragmented she said that she would have another look at 12pm just before I go to work to see whether I will have to have the transfer tomorrow or if we can keep pushing it until monday, she also said that you can get positive pregnancy with fragmented embryos,
My question to you ladies out there is has anyone had embryos fragment before ? or has anyone had a positive pregnancy with fragmented embryos? I dont know whether to continue with this cycle or just tell them to cancel and start again, any thoughts or information will be much appreciated
Hi Shazey I wish I could be of some help but I am only new to the IVF world. Just wanted to wish you all the best & will be [-o< for some good news in your 12 oclock phone call.
Skye
Thank you everyone for making me feel so welcome.
I have been seeing a fertility specialist since the end of September and did our first round of clomid in October. Because of the Lap in Nov we weren't able to go another round of clomid, but during the post-op check up they did an ultra sound out of curiosity and i had a follicle there, so we decided we would give it a shot on our own anyway.
Leis, I had my Lap done in Albury/Wodonga and results came back with absolutely nothing wrong with me. I gusess this is more frustrating because there is no reason for the infertility
I've added your details Shannon.
Shazey
- hoping they have better news for you tomorrow. It is hard when they tell you this information - with a bit of worry attached but not enough to help you make firm decisions. Ask about all the boards -IYKWIM someone should be able to answer.
BTW - your avatar is a beauty.Way To Go Girl
Welcome Shannon & Skye -
Shannon - hope you got the egg and you can have a short stay here. Unexplained infertility is a rough diagnosis because you just don't know what you up against. But miracles happen.
Hope you find comfort and support here as you travel the IVF rollercoaster (if you need it).
Skye - when is your first FS appointment ?
Teagan - how are you travelling - not long for you now.
Kelly - how did you b/t go ?
with hope

Hi Shazey,
Good luck with the transfer. So many things to consider with the whole process, leaves your head spinning doesn't it! Looking forward to hearing some good news :D
