Hi Girls, How is everyone going today????
Leis - My CD1 was on the 1st November and I had a Lap/Dye/Hyst on the 11th. I bled lightly for a few days, but thats all. It is now the 30th and AF hasn't arrived yet, so not sure what is going to happen and if my cycle is all out of whack. Mucus wise it was fairly normal and when I had my post op check up on the 17th they did an ultra sound to see what was happening in there and i had a follie that was about to pop, so did the BD for the next four days, but don't know whats going on there either. Two BFN's as of yesterday, so just hoping AF will arrive so we can start the next cycle. Hope that helped you a bit. Going on what you said we must have had our Laps on the same day!!!
:D Cheers to everyone else.
Shannon

Mrs Mac.. yeah we did have them done on the same day!!! I think i am going to ovulate soon though, but DH is in Sydney at work... half our problem with TTC naturally!!!
No surfing for me at the mo ladies... still a tad sore from the lap, and also there has been no surf, as of late, until today, but as DH is in sydney for work, i don't like going out by myself, safety wise, and the weather has been feral... rain rain rain rain, at least i don't need to fill Jemma the Wonder Horses water trough!
Hope you are all well. How are things travelling Trish... Still really quiet in here.....

Hi Ladies

Chris

Hi Shannon and welcome.
When I had my lap a year ago, AF was only a few days late. I concieved (but miscarried) on the 3rd cycle after my lap, (after 2 years of trying) so you and Leis should be BDing - with your husbands not each other 8-[ lol
Oh, wanted to say Hi to Inspiration too. Don't feel uncomfortable here because you are the only one not doing IVF. I have never done IVF and have been hanging around here for over a year now. It is great to learn the jargon and lots of people are still TTC naturally between IVF cycles anyway.
-
Hi everyone looks pretty quiet in here again today
Good luck today Chris
I have a question that I am hoping someone can answer, I had a HCG trigger last friday and I was wondering how long it stays in your system as I have read previous threads that say you cant get accurate HPT because of the HCG does this mean I have to wait until my beta on the 7/12 or can I test before that day,
Thanks for your help guys, hope you are all well
-
Shazey
was it trigger or booster ? you mean - I had HCG booster which is 500iu 2 days after OPU -
when I had FET I was told my nurse 10 days after before they test - but others more knowledgable on forums say it is less than this for 500iu (but that it can be up to 10 days for 5000iu trigger)
I hope this makes sense
Chris - hope all went well for you today :pinkstick:
Teagan - how did you go :bluestick:
Heather - we are still in the dark if you are b/t testing or POAS - have you POAS anyway ?
:luck: :crossfingers:
ps 1500 posts for me :confetti: :lovebb:

Hello lovely ladies... Chris yep we just had the most horrendous storm... Carlos the Wonder Dog and I were so scared we both hid in bed. I hate it when it storms when DH is in Sydney at work.. if something happens to the house i would panic. Now the sun is out and it is hot, very strange weather????
Well i thought earlier in the week i was going to ovulate as i presumed that the lap/hyst/D&C would be day one of my cycle... well how very wrong was I? I awoke at 530 this morning in horrendous pain, i couldn't even walk properly, it was running down the right side of my back into my foot???? contimplated calling my friend to take me to the hospital, but downed 3 yep that is right 3 Neurophen + and the pain subsided within the hour, went back to bed, was woken by the phone at 11 am with my cousin from Brisvegas calling for a catch up, she is a year younger than me, and is a Doctor, (paedeatrician) and i was telling her about all my pain, she also told me that no your cycle will remain the same basically after the lap etc as it is the hormones that make your period come and that they don't get messed with during the lap etc. DERH how dumb am i... so of course it was mega hot last night and i went to bed with zip on and i had white sheets on the bed, so here i am at 530 am staggering around in so much pain reefing the sheets off and putting them on the soak cycle of the machine with napisan!!!!!! Oh i don't know.....
Anyways i am feeling a bit better now, my friend went and purchased me a 72 pack of neurophene + .... See Dr Cooper on the 11th of Jan so hopefully only one or two more painful periods... Sometimes when the pain is so bad all i can think of is having a hysterectomy, and i have found it far more painful since IVF whenever i have a period.. anybody any thoughts on this...
Hope you are well
love leis xxx

LEIS: Poor thing.. not only does it rain, but it pours with you. Your friend is so sweet to get you neurphen. Good to hear pain is dissappearing. Hope Carlos is being great company. Hope you well now.

Hi Everyone....hope things are going great guns for everyone out there...
Leis.......sorry to hear that you've had such a rotton morning and that the witch arrived. I was told by the coordinators at the clinic that the lap wouldn't interfere with my cycle, other than that we couldn't go a round with clomid. I'm still waiting for AF to arrive.
CD31 now. All of a sudden this cycle is really dragging out. Waiting Waiting Waiting. I hate waiting. As my DH puts it......i'm not impatiant, I just don't like waiting. Thats male thinking for you.
Anyway...good luck for everyone out there who's waiting for results or waiting to see if those eggies have stuck.
My thoughts are with you all.
Shannon.

First scan was ok, lots of follis, biggest 14mm, then a couple 12 and 10mm.
Rescan Monday and Insem likely to be tues/wed. That brings the end of my two week wait to be between 20th and 23rd December. Very cruel timing, and pessimistically, not expecting great news. How I cope with that, and seeing my SIL and broither over xmas, very pregnant, and finding out the sex that week... god its hard sometimes :(
Onwards and upwards...
-
BABY BLISS: it is hard GLuck with 20-23 Dec.
SHANNON: I am waiting to see if mine stick (in 2ww).. I not impatient, .. I know what you mean draggin on.. Dont like waiting neither.. why can they just stick the egg in and wait till next day for BT results.

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to join you if I could. I tried a few weeks ago, but things have been a bit hectic with a house move and a sick dog.
I have an appointment to start IVF#3 on 16th December. Not sure whether its a good idea though. I'm torn as I'm nearly 40 and want to get a move on, but my stress levels are pretty high at the moment and I feel quite run down.
Can you add my details please

State - NSW
My Previous Cycle Length - 30

Suzy,
Welcome to BB and this forum. You've come to the right place. The ladies here are a fantastic support.
IVF can seem scary at first but sometimes it is the answer to your prayers. I hope this is the case for you.
Cheers,
Melissa

Welcome Suzy! Loads of excellent advice, wisdom and support here (be warned, we talk a lot, I find it hard to keep up so I pop in and out as I can, but I miss a lot!)
I have my second scan Monday, hoping for more than one decent folli this time, my ovaries are a bit tender, I know I have a lot of follis, but theyre fairly small, so I want a couple to take off pleeeeease. IUI will probably be Tuesday or Wednesday, making my 2ww end about 20-21 December. So cruel :( Going to be one hell of a xmas, or one I might drink my way through... (Kidding. Sort of). O:)
-
Hi all. How's everyone?
Suzy - Welcome to BB! You'll feel like one of the gang in no time - everyone's pretty good like that. Good luck too with your next cycle.
Trish - How're you keeping? Any symptoms yet?
Leis - How are you feeling now?
Have you been able to go surfing? My DH would like to get back into it - he used to do it when he was a teen. I remember at college after bar night we tried hanging ten in the corridor....interesting experience :D Esp. given most of us could barely stand upright to begin with!
Chris & Shazey - How's the 2ww going for you guys? I'm keeping my fingers crossed you'll both be the next to 'cross over'.
Had my first scan yesterday and got the all clear to start stims today. Gave myself my first injection an hour ago. Can't believe we're so close to the pointy stuff now. I have my follow-up scan next Friday...so hoping the o-girls can produce enough good eggs.
My DH has been asking his mates what the etiquette would be for producing a sample for OPU. I.e. what's a good amount of time..... He doesn't want to be too quick, just in case they think he's a bit of a deviant. Guys are funny :D
Hope you're all well.
Cheers!

Hi guys how are u all
How are you going in the 2WW Chris and Marg
Hi Leis sorry the witch has been very nasty this month, hope you are feeling well now
Trish great news about Tiff I am going to see the bubs tomorrow and I cant wait
Suzy welcome hopefully your stay wont be too long, the girls here are wonderful and very informative
Bee how are u going, thinking of you, hope you are well
Babybliss good luck on mon
Didge good luck on frid
Hi Tam and anyone else I have missed
Well I caved and did a HPT 11dpo and it showed a BFP, trying not to get too excited at the moment but I am hopeful, never had a BFP with any of the last 3 transfers so maybe this is the real thing
Used a test from work and asked one of the doctors how they worked (hadnt used this brand before) he said that these tests have to have at least 50iu of HCG in your urine for you to get a positive result, not sure if the HCG is from the luteal support trigger I had but it was over a week ago and it was only 1500u so a very little amount. What do you all think?
The reason I tested was because I have been feeling very nauseous at night and my breasts are very sore and larger than normal, I know this can be a side effect of the crinone but it has only been like this for the last 2 days
Anyway I will wait for the HCG this week and keep you all posted
-
Shazey how exciting!! I hope your BFP just gets stronger & stronger!!
Have everything crossed for you!!!
Skye :)
-
Suzy - welcome to BB - and good luck with IVF#3.
shazey - a BFP is soooooooooooo exciting - hope that line just keeps getting stronger. :crossfingers:
chris - hope you are surviving the tww.
Good luck didge and kell.
As for the tww - I was doing well last week. There was a little cramping and thought I felt a bit nauseous which had my hopes up (even though I know it was too early to really be noticing anything yet!). But today I'm kinda feeling nothing and that has me a bit down. Still, until AF and/or BT, I guess there's still some hope.
Marg

Great news Shazey about your BFP - a line is a line that is fantastic I think the hCG support would be out of your sysytem by now so it is the real deal.
Excellent news too about Tiff, Noah & Ivy send her my love. I hope to visit her too one day.
Kelly- goodluck on Monday :crossfingers:
Marg hang in there :crossfingers:
Chris - you too matey - you bub will be snuggling in now.
Didge - congrates on starting your stims - now it gets exciting.
Welcome Suzy - hope you stay is short and sweet. There are so many new girls the last month.
with hope

Shazey - that sounds really positive!
-
Thanks guys
trying not to get too excited in case it is not a good result with the beta, still having some cramping and headaches so it could still be the dreaded witch coming to make a visit, please keep your fingers and toes crossed
will let you all know on wed or thurs the result either way
-
Good luck shazey... sounds exciting.. i hope you are succesful!!!

Hi Guys,
Just have a quick question. When you started your gonal-f injections did you experience any spotting?
Hope everyone's well!
Cheers,
Didge
-
Hi Girls....hope you are enjoying your weekend..
Shazey - stay positive and i'm sure that everything will be fine [-o<
Well i'm still waiting for AF to arrive. CD34 now. The sore BB's that I had the week before last have gone, but i've still got a little bit of heartburn and about every night at about 6.00 I get a bout of nausea. I'm too scared to test to see if I am pg just in case it's a BFN, but i havent' had a cycle this long in ages. Expected AF to arrive at the end of NOV!. The last test I did, on the 29th was a BFN, but a few of you thought that I tested too early.
What do you girls think I should do? I don't have to get in contact with the clinic again until AF comes, so we can start the next round of clomid, but if i aren't pg, then my cycle is going to end up going through Xmas, which is when the clinic is closed for two weeks, and I don't want to miss another month just because they are closed.
Oh..what to do :smt102 What to do????? To test or not to test....that is the question.
Take care.
Shan

Hi everyone,
Didge - I've never had spotting with gonal-f, not sure what it means
Shazey - when I had my bfp I had lots of breast soreness and AF cramps, but with my bfn I had no breast tenderness and very mild AF cramps, so it looks good for you, I think - good luck. By the way, I had a faint bfp on a urine preg test and measured 40 on a blood test (but went on and had an early miscarriage) so they can pick up lower levels than 50, but the line was barely visible.
Marg - good luck in your 2ww
Someone said they had an appointment with Sharkey I think it is in the Gold Coast in December (the one who was on TV and claimed an extraordinary rate of bfps). I'd be really interested to hear how you went on,
Thats all for me now. Its been a lovely day in Sydney and we've been for a picnic by the beach.
Love,
Suzy
-
Didge - I had spotting when starting puregon after synarel the first cycle - this time I had a small period for a few days with it. Supposedly, its normal enough - especially when on synarel, and the injections will stop the spotting soon (or stop a full blown heavy period that I should have got).
-
Shazzey OMG,
I even dusted the "lucky bamboo" today so I'm confident that the BFP will be darker soon.. Fingers crossed.
Didge: I didn't have spotting, but did have a chuckle about DP concerns. A friend of mine always told me that he sat and waited for the movie to finish..lol 8-[ . I never asked questions and DH was too shy to tell me.lol
