Hi Everyone!
Hi Ladies,
im new to this all, ive had problems concieving,2yrs, give or take, .. but previous to that it was just unprotected, no counting days of when etc.. Am on my 2nd cycle of Clomid, im 25, married for 1 yr, & yes i sympathise with people who always hear the same thing, "when are you going to have 1?" & the worst of all is my friends who say "gosh a guy can look at me an im pregs" not very sympathetic knowing my condition. Which is PCOS have been seeing my specialist for roughly a yr..
Im glad i can read everyones stories & i can really relate.
I wish all you ladies the best of luck, this is not a pretty thing to go through.
Take care

OMG OMG OMG CONGRATS!!!!!! i hope you have a smooth and enjoyable 9 months :) personaly it gives me hopes that your pregnant it doesnt get me down at all :) as for me the surgery went ok but unfortunately my wound got infected so its a bit sore at the moment but healing up now. The drilling itselt was pretty pain free i just had cramps like bad period pain for 4-5 days after it. I have my FS appointment on November5 to start my injections again so im hoping for a nice chrissy present.
And Keli i know what you mean about alcahol it did seem to help for a couple of times when i was on the injections and nothing was happening i did wipe myself out a couple of times - probably not a good thing but cant change that now.
hope everyone is doing well take good care of yourself frustrated :)

Hi ladies,
i was just wondering if anyone can help me with something..
who knows what foods i should be avoiding? or eating more of? to help, id rather steer clear of eat more of things i should be in order to help, if it does not help, atleast ill be doing all i can to help the process, & i can keep a clear conscious that im doing all i can.
Also my hubby has been taking Zinc, Vitamin E & C as the pharmacist has suggested it helps with his speeding up his sperm, im not sure whether you gals are aware of it, if not i hope it helps.
Does anyone know any other hints that my hubby should or should not be doing? he does not smoke & i have limited his drinking to very little.
I hope to hear from someone soon, as it will help me deal.
thank you.
Xx

Hi Jess85,
Welcome to the sight , hope you find it as helpful as I have.
The only foods I know you should be avoiding are things like soft cheeses, deli meats and caffine, but that for when you're pregnant. Not sure if there's anything you can eat to assist with concieving. If you find any out please let us all know.
As for the Zinc, my hubby was on it for about 6 months. We were both seeing a Naturopath. Is is supposed to help the motility of sperm as zinc is their power sorce, so you're definately on the right track there.
How long have you been TCT?
It's not a fun road is it?
Hope you are well, have a good weekend.

Hey Keli
I have PCOS and my silly obs just decided to act on it with clomid at the highest dose. I didnt ovulate so he has now decided to refer me to his partner and I found my obs now doing nothing so got a bit worried about this new one. We have been trying naturally for two years all up and nothing. I had blood test every month for last nine months while on clomid andf nothing no ovulation so its all very crazy. I just want it to happen damn it I so so sick of the waiting game.

Hi Kelli,
Thank you so much for your reply.
I will definately let everyone know when i find things out! i wish no one had to go through this- Its horrible, i get so down in the dumps Daily about it, & it especially pains me when i hear my hubby saying things like, "i cant wait to have a bubs" that i cannot give him as quick as id love to.
1stly me & hubby were unprotected for approx 2yrs, & i was hoping.. then i knew there was a problem, so i started seeing a fertility specialist, who did the Tube test to make sure they were not blocked-they werent, she does blood tests on me each time i see her to make sure all is in order, & my testosterone level was high last time so she prescribed me on Diane35 to lower. 2months ago i started Clomid, i just finisged my 2nd batch so im in the Zone time now.
I am overweight, i have tried to loose but its sooooo hard esp with PCOS, i am Diabex now which is stronger than Metformin, (ive been told)
Can i ask what does Your naturapath do? i have heard of them, & am thinking maybe we should look into it.. How do i find one around my area?
Also how long have you been trying? what have you used etc?
i look forward to hearing from you.
All the best!

Hi again Jess85
Hey Jess85,
I know it is just awful isn?t it? You would never wish this upon anyone, and unfortunately no-one understands except the people going through it. My friends just keep telling me to relax, cos it always happens when you're not trying. How easy to say, yet not so easy to do. How do I not try when I have to take drugs to ovulate? Ridiculous I know :wall:
I'm sure hubby is ok with it, he just wants a bub as much as you do and that's great. Much better than being unsupportive and not paying any attention to what is going on with you. But I totally get what you?re saying, you just wish you could give him a bub now.
So by the sounds of what you're saying, you're tubes are not blocked and you're ovulating every month, is that right? That's fantastic, hopefully it won?t be long now. When can you start testing for this month?
It can?t be fun trying to loose weight at the same time you poor thing, :juggling: especially when there is a medical condition as to why the weigh is there in the first place. Has your fertility specialist or GP given any assistance as to how you could loose some? I know it?s different for everybody.
What?s Diabex? Sorry never heard of it before.
Hubby and I have been TTC for 2 years and 8 months so far. I am 25 and he is 33. Firstly we just stopped using protection, then after 12 months I found out I have polycystic ovaries. So I went to see a Naturopath (in Warrandyte, Melb) for 10 months. She helped thicken my lining of my uterus and got me into a regular cycle (prior to seeing her I would get 1-2 periods a year). Turns out she was never able to get me to ovulate though. So I have been seeing a fertility specialist for 4-5 months now and am on my 3rd round of clomid at the moment. So fingers crossed
If you?re interested in a Naturopath maybe Google to see if anyway has any recommendations in your area. I was referred to mine by my GP, which is not common practice though as GP?s often think Naturopaths are a bit airy fairy.
Hope you had a nice weekend.
Look forward to chatting again soon.

Reply to Mandii
Hi Mandii
I can believe you have been on it for 9 months and not ovulated and her has just now decided to take you off. It can be s frustrating, you trust that the professionals know what they are doing, but sometimes you just need to trust your gut. It might sound strange but have you thought about seeing a female obs? If it?s an option. I feel that they are more compassionate than males. Just a thought. I do think that you need to go to someone new though, obviously your current obs isn?t doing much to help you out. And every time a month goes by, the more depressed you get. I totally understand.
Good luck, let us know how you go.

Hi Keli,
It was very nice to read your reply, Thank you.
Funny you say that, i was talking to a friend last night who said the exact samething "dont stress, it will come when your not trying" but as you said How can we not try if we are taking Clomid to fall? anyways i guess the people who are not going through this dont know, & its not their fault, they are blessed with a healthy system.
Another thing which is most annoying, is when people say "you are so young you have heaps of time" i have a friend who has same problem has been trying for 11yrs she is now 30.. & they do say the younger you are the more chance of success.
I found out at 18 i had PCOS. My periods are very regular, exactly 28-30 days a month, the last time i seen my specialist my blood test result showed i was ovulating nicely.
& at that consultation she prescribed me Diabex, which before that i was taking Metformin, but i was still getting side affects, she explained that this is new, stronger than Metformin but less side affects, i take 2x 500mg a day.
Have you had hubby tested? is he very supportive?
we are in the Zone now, thoough isnt a very short time frame.. i know specialist do say, to miss 2 days, but i prefer to try more, every 2nd day.
i dont know if this is true, but i have heard a small pillow under your bum will help, & 20mins legs up afterwards. & also have heard a light back massage on the bottom of your back to help lessen the tenseness. you would prob already know this all, but if it helps, & if you have any ideas for me.
i will def look into Naturepaths..
Keep strong!
Jess.

congrats frustrated! You give me hope!!

Hey Guys,
Jess you asked what your partner could be doing to help. As soon as we went to a specialist they suggested straioght away that my dh go onto Menevit, we did so straight away got him tested again and this helped him dramatically. Even if DH doesnt have a problem they say this always benefits... :)
Ok so i'm 5 weeks now, been a little sick and so so tired the past week i have booked into our gp to start all the appointments also throught the clinic on Nov 13th we have our 1st scan, what they call a viability scan. I had my 2nd bloods done last Friday and they went from 280 up to 632 in 3 days so i was happy with that they said that was fantastic.
GOod luck everyone, and i pray that everyone of you gets the xmas pressie ( Bubby) That you wish for .
-
im so glad everything is going well for you frustrated :) i have my appointment next week so i will be starting my needles then i would imagin. I have had bit of a melt down the last few days so i have not been here to comment hopefully i will snap out of it soon though. I think the thing that started it was my realisation that next month i would have become a mum - in a perfect world that is.
Hubby is home tomorrow night i hope so i get to have big hugs then, cant wait.
Take care everyone
