Briggs - what about a more permanent temporary solution - an anti depressant for anxiety?? Zoloft???

Oxazepam (same type of thing as diazepam) although not great for ttc is still recommended if required over Valium???

There is another drug (can't remember the name) other than maxalon. Ask your dr to get some reassurance what it is and if it can be used in pregnancy. Like you maxalon has never worked for me and when I was still vomiting an hour after the birth they gave me something else - I think it started with e maybe.

BG oh no have you tried a natural alternative to Valium? I think the flushes are a side effect and I have heard it can heighten your emotional state so all makes sense. I wish I could give you better advice x

I'm still very under the weather. Gastro went through the whole house then back to me. I was ok for a few days then got suck again. Appears I may have developed mild Ohss from the clomid. Great. Was on warning from the gp that if I hadn't started drinking enough by today I was going into hospital for iv rehydration. I've been getting slowly better but definitely won't be going down the clomid path again. I'm guessing there may be a link between the response and the gastro but I just can't afford (mentally) to go down this path again. Being incapable if sitting up with dd cis I'm so crook/weak/in pain just isn't worth it. I lost over 10kg in 10 days but have put nearly 1.5kg back on just since new years (hence Ohss being most likely)

Haven't been on this forum for a little while but I thought I would today. At the tail end of my second cycle. AF isn't too far away. I just wish it wasn't =(

Well on to another round of clomid. Did anyone have really heavy AF whilst on clomid? I mean I am changing a heavy flow tampon every hour and half... :( blah I can't leave the house it's ridiculous!

Hi Ladies, I was hoping I could join in here. I started my first round of Clomid this cycle, currently CD12, and have found that reading through the past post helped me with questions I had.

DH and I have been TTC for over 2years now and I have been diagnosed with PCOS. My FS is doing this cycle Unmonitored except for a CD21 BT so I'm really flying blind and a little worried it is not working because I have had very few side effects. I really only had a few hot flushes and now am feeling quite bloated like AF is about to appear, FX I'm just about to O and not Very early AF.

Joeve- I'm not using OPKs because I have heard you get false positives when you have PCOS. I did notice that AF was much heavier for me for 1 day of my cycle while taking the clomid however after 1 really heavy day the rest was lighter than
Usual.

Right makes sense. So you just need to listen to your body for o signs or dtd every couple of days to cover all bases! Good luck!

i just wanted to say i have pcos and have always found opt's work fine for me :-)

Perhaps I should try the OPKs and see if they work for me, I guess everyone is different.

Has anyone had crazy vivid dreams when taking clomid. I don't usually remember my dreams but have had several dreams that I can remember clear as day since taking my last clomid tablet.

Well waiting to find out results from my BT this morning to se if i O'd this month and I'm getting really sharp pains on and off, they are sharp like made me jump sharp type pains. Anyway, guessing I may be ovulating late but will just have to wait the day out. Really hate all this waiting and uncertainty. Waiting waiting waiting and really hope these pains stop soon.

Scan yesterday showed a 18mm follie ready to pop so bding from tonight.

Just got the results of my BT and they said I did ovulate (yay, little party for me) so now I just wait for another 7 days and see what happens.

18 months and FINALLY dr decided to start clomid.

After my longest cycle yet (44 days) I finally got AF today. So much pain....... But WOOOOOOOHOOOOOO finally clomid starts Saturday!!!!!

Baby dust for an october bub lol.

Hi joeve- no luck for me this cycle, another BFN. I had a big melt down last night but spoke with my FS this morning and will be starting IUI this cycle. I really hope you have better luck than me this month.

Thanks Joeve. We are doing FSH injections with the IUI, just picked up my meds today. Not looking forward to that. When do you get to test? Did you get a BT to confirm the clomid is working?

Oh I'm sorry mrs Mac. I feel for you - I'm so over looking at bfn's.

For me I believe I'll be having scans (I think that's how they tell if clomid is working - based on follicles, then a lh BT when they think one or more are big enough to see if I'm about to o, then at 10dpo a progesterone test to confirm o) :)

Thanks. I'm cd 3 today so took my first tablet about an hour ago..... I'm so excited..... Previous to this I was on metformin (which did nothing because I have no sign of diabetes I'm 55kgs and I wasn't getting any periods) had ovarian drilling almost a year ago and have had cycle tracking which was also pointless as they were going by bloods when my lh is always high - I finally feel positive that something is happening.

I had a folli count today. I'm cd 12 and they got nothing :(

Side effects have been ok - increased libido which is good but have been a little short, getting annoyed at little things

Another scan today and nothing - my lining is only 7.5 and still no dominant follis. They have decided that they will only do 2 more cycles - increasing to a max of 100mg because I have multiple unmatured follicles already and they are worried clomid at a higher dose may cause a boom and I end up with 8 eggs (which they will remove - ethical guidelines and all but really what are the odds of that happening anyway)

So after that they are going to dump clomid and put me on injections..... They doubt that I would still be ovulating on my own in a month or two (which was my problem before the ovarian drilling)

I'm just so over it now. And emotional and feeling defeated you know.

They have said my cycle is likely to be another 40+ dayer again this month.

Sorry about the me me me stuff. How is everyone else going in their baby endeavors??

Joeve - how is your cycle looking???

No bts this month my lh is super high all cycle and dr didn't see that point because it will be a positive lh count but that would be false.

MD oh hugs that sounds very frustrating!
I am ok just really hot and a bit headachy which may or may not be clomid related! I think the 100mg has ramped up my side effects but they are still really minimal and no where near as bad as I expected. First bt today have to wait til Monday for results so just dtd anyway...

I am Vicki - 27- mumma to a little man who is turning 4 on Sunday.

I have been on Metformin on and off for 5 years, when I was first prescribed I lost 10 kg in about 10 weeks and was very ill - and actually turned out I was pregnant :) Started back on Metformin about 12 mnths ago = only taking 500mg of the prescribed 1500mg I was suppose to take. I am slowly building up and I think I'm at about 750-1000mg atm.

I have PCOS and Insulin Resistance. I started on Provera in Dec after having LLETZ done in early Nov - was unknowingly 6-8wk UTD at the time - suffered a m/c on the 2/12/11.

Started Clomid this cycle - on 50mg taking from days 4-8 inc. Am currently on cd12. Have to go for BT on cd21.

I've lost 8 kg since the middle of Jan (not that you can notice it IMO) and hoping this will help get things into working order.
