LTTTC Two Week Wait 2013 # 3

Hey ladies, you don't know me, I was around the place 2 years ago when PG with my daughter :) I was doing some stalkies and saw Sarah's post- huge hugs to you sweetheart. I wanted to ask, as you mentioned you were on progesterone, do you have a short luteal phase? I did when TTC DD and I took Vitex.. Just thought id mention it (you may of course already tried it but I felt for you too much not to throw it out there as a suggestion!) btw I conceived the first month of trying vitex! My luteal phase before that was about 8 days.. But yeah I'm sorry if I'm just blabbing on about stuff you've already heard!! To everyone else, hello! Good luck to you all in your TTC journeys :)

Yes my luteal phase is about 8-10 days without progesterone.
I have just started at the naturopath with a whole lot of herbs :-) I think vitex is one of them in my yukky drink lol , I will definitely check though! Thanks for the info I so hope it works... Or something does!

You're most welcome! It sounded like short luteal phase to me so thought I'd pipe up to share :) if it helps, I took thompsons brand "vitex 1000" which I think is 1000mg per capsule and its 1 capsule a day first thing in the morning which says it equates to 1g of dry fruit.. I spoke to my GP about it because there is a lot of conflicting evidence about whether it not to continue taking vitex once pregnant- her advice was to take it till after the placenta has taken over regulating the hormones so I took it till 16 weeks and then cut back to one capsule once every 2 days for about a week then once every three days then stopped taking alltogether by 18ish weeks. FYI my GP has been around for aaaages and specifically works in prenatal shared care and has recommended vitex for other patients too for boosting pg levels :) But yeah lots of people say to stop taking it once pregnant as its not one that's been cleared as being researched enough to say its "safe" to keep taking.. :) the vitex helped me O a bit earlier too, as I usually O late in my cycle.

I thoroughly hope that the naturopath potion does wonders for you! I really do! And to everyone else TTC my hopes are out there for you too! X

How early is too early to start poas? I am 9dpo and am itching to test but af is not due till next Tuesday I've never had a positive early test but I've never had a successful pregnancy either, I haven't got any tests here so I suppose that will stop me until tomorrow!!

babycakes, I know some women get them as early as 8dpo with the very sensitive tests, but the earliest I've gotten one is 10dpo and that one was so faint I thought I was imagining it and threw it away as a BFN. It was only the next day when I had a clear line that I fished it back out of the bin and believed the very faint line that was there... Last time, I didn't get a BFP until 13dpo, but the tests I was using that time weren't as sensitive.

Hi Nat yep had my scan this morning for fet but my lining too thick (usual problem!) have to see him on Monday to see if it has hopefully shed :banghead: how are you traveling hun?

I'm doing really well thanks! Just waiting for my first scan (7 weeks)on the 5th of sept... Still bleeding a little but not as much.

Really hope your lining behaves and your good to go for the transfer. I'll keep sending positive thoughts your way !:crossfingers:

I had my first scan yesterday. Got to hear a strong little heart beat (160bpm) -was the most beautiful sound in the world! Very emotional! I have another in two weeks on the 18th to check that everything is progressing well.

How are things going with you? Did you do your FET??! I hope your well.

I'm officially in here ladies!!!!! Got a lovely 3 day embie on board as of this morning :) Now, when can I start testing???? LOL. This will be a looooooog 13 days. BT on the 23rd.
