KittyKat - so sorry to hear about your BFN. This journey can be so heartbreaking when our hearts are filled with such high hopes. So glad that you have one little angle to cuddle and I wish you all the best with your more natural remedies next year. x
Jayejaye - also so sorry to hear about your BFN. I wish all the best as you try and recuperate and hope that you find your deserved success at some stage in the future.
-
kittycat27 - I am sorry to hear that things didn't work out for you. You have put such a positive spin on it and your daughter is one lucky little girl to have such a fantastic mum. All the best with the Chinese Medicine route and we'll always be here if you just want a chat.:comfort:
jayejaye - Please don't apologise. You do what you have to to get through this difficult time. I am sorry to hear that you didn't get your BFP this month:hug:
Airline - Sorry but I haven't experienced what you describe. I am amazed by the way you describe your m/c. I hope your mood has picked up today and you are back on an even keel. Hang in there!
Mitf - I forgot to ask FS about DTD post ET. Maybe another LTTTC'er might be able to shed some light?
Loops12 - It seems so pointless having that BT but if you want to look at it another way, FS explained to me that it is so they can see if you actually were pg and m/c or if there was no implantation. Maybe I'm just stating the obvious but I hadn't thought about it until he said that. Sorry you still had to go through it though.
Hi to everyone else.

Hi Girls,
Loops12, jayejaye & kittycat27, I am so sorry for your BFN. I wish with all my heart that it will happen soon for you girls, and that you don't have to wait long
Kittycat27, it must take so much strength and courage to decide to end the IVF journey, if I didn't get my BFP I wonder how much strength I would have in me to keep going and for how long. I really pray that with the AP treatment, you'll be able to achieve a pg on your own
Taurean78, jasminstar & mitf, GL in your TWW girls
As for taking the days off after the transfer, I had no sick leave or annual leave accumulated, as between taking 8 weeks off last year after my late m/c and 6 weeks off this year for my myomectomy op, I only had long service leave left. Normally, work only lets you take a month off at a time of LSL, but b/c I had no leave to use apart from the LSL, they allowed me to take a couple of days out of the LSL. I think the important thing is to take it really easy.
GL girls and let sanity be your friend!

Hi Ladies,
Airline, I have noticed a similar sharp pain both left and right when I stretch since EPU but it is getting better - not sure if that could be related to what you're describing. Also been very pre-menstrual physically and emotionally last two days and rang clinic today as my next BT was Mon and I wanted to move to tomoro and they said not to worry about the pre-mentrual feeling due to all the hormones in my system (also said my BT should have been tommorow anyway though they didn't listen when I said that at EPU on Monday). HTH.
JayeJaye, so sorry to hear your bad news. Try to look after yourself. I don't have any words to comfort you as I can only imagine how you must be feeling. :comfort:
Kittycat27, very sorry to hear your news. Good luck with the herbal remedies and natural methods. Maybe enjoying your DD and having the pressure off will pay dividends. FX for you.
Mitf and Taurean, hope you guys are hanging tough. Any news to report? Hope all is moving along smoothly :stickyvibesboy::stickyvibesgirl:
Taurean - re DTD I wasn't really told much other than Progesterone test next Monday and PBT Monday after. I rang today as I'm feeling quite pre-menstrual and they moved Progesterone test to tommorow saying it should have been tommorow all along - which is what I said on Monday when they gave me the Monday BT timeframe. Going to ask tommorow to also move the final BT to next Friday too.
AFM: Trying not to panic but feeling crampy and hot and bothered - very pre-menstrual for me; also a bit down in the dumps. Hoping it's nothing just changing hormones.
GL to us all :goodluck:

Jasminstar & Taurean - I don't know how you guys are going but it's only 2 days post ET and I am already a nut case.... I am driving myself crazy. I found myself looking at HPT's in the supermarket last night. I was tempted to buy one and ask DH to hide it till I begged him to give it to me but I left it on the shelf. Are you guys going to POAS or refrain?
Airline - I was having some discomfort & pain on my right side, particularly when my bladder was full and pushing against my insides. When I had my ET Wednesday the ultrasound showed that they were swollen follicles on my ovaries which were not mature at EPU. The clinic said they will gradually disappear.... sure enough the pain is gradually subsiding. I am not sure if you are doing IVF or if it sounds similar but I hope the pain is subsiding for you also.
-
Kittycat - so sorry hun :comfort: But yes at least you have one little darling miracle and you are being a wonderful mum for her. I know it gets annoying people saying this after a while but you never know, you will probably fall pg naturally because you wont be stressing. I really will be hoping and keeping an eye out for that. All the very best with wherever life takes you xoxo
JayeJaye - Im sorry about your BFN too - all the best for future tries. Hugs
Thanks ladies once again for your words of comfort and support and Taureen for putting the BT issue into perspective. Perhaps they may be able to tell me if it didnt implant and then we may know where to go from here.
I have an appointment with our FS on Sept 10 so hopefully we will be able to get something happening after that.
Good luck everyone
-
Mitf - thanks for responding, it's not a constant pain, only occurring when I stretch fully in bed .... strange, but I'm trying to not stretch...which is harder than you'd think:D
Keep your chin up...the days are counting down! I was thinking of doing a HPT every day to see what happened, but my head's back in a good space so I think just waiting and hoping might be a better idea...oh decisions!
jaejae- your message melted my heart when I read it...I'm so sorry
Taurean - thanks for your response, I am back on an even keel again..it was like a 24hour funk. Poor DH was sure the 'black hole' had set in for a while, but I'm back to normal... well as normal as you can be on this journey:rolleyes:
Jaminstar - isn't it frustrating that hormones control so much and can indicate AF, pregnancy, pre AF, menopause etc! My waxing lady told me your pain threshold varies depending on time of cycle!...is there anything hormones don't control! Hope you're feeling a little better today - my mood's improved tenfold, so I'm just trying to stay relaxed and not obsess- ha ha ha ha!
Loops12- I'm so sorry to hear what you're experiencing. I started bleeding heavily just before my blood test, and the clinic told me the results indicated that my body hadn't rejected the embryo immediately, which now I can see as a positive. Of course at the time I was just lost in misery, tears and pain. They kept saying, you were soo close, so now I'm hoping I'm close enough this time.
Good luck to anyone in this 2ww of frustration...BT 20th - results 21st.
-
good luck to all those waiting in the dreadfull TWW. xo
-
Thanks airline - I hope they tell me that on the 10th. It gives me some hope anyway and makes me less miserable so thanks heaps.
All the very best to you, i'll be thinking of you. Hugs

Mitf, yes I'm also going completely demented. I had my progesterone test this morning and they checked LH and estrogen while at it due to my pre-menstrual feelings Wednesday. All came back "excellent" and the nurse said they were quietly hopeful for me based on the results! Trying not to get too exctied and built up. Thankfully they've agreed by BT should be the Friday and so I'm out of a few extra days waiting yahhh. I have to own up to caving and buying HPTs - naughty; will probably be too scared to use them anyway.
Loops12, delighted to hear your moving ahead and getting ready for further action. Good luck in September. Hope that rebate has come through by then to make decisions easier.
Airline, great to hear your hormones are giving you a bit of a break and you're feeling happier. Hang in their - only 6 more sleeps to go for you. Try not to think about the HPTs - although I have to admit I went out and bought some to bring to Darwin in case I freak out some evening next week.
JBM, thanks for the good wishes.
GL to us all as usual :goodluck:

Hi Ladies, leaving for Darwin in the morning so not really sure how much access I'll have to keep in touch over the next few weeks.
Wishing you all the best. And I'll let you know how I go - if I last till Friday or cave beforehand ;) I have a very good feeling about it though. Have been craving high protein foods (well not craving but feeling like that's what I want anyway).

Jasminstar - Have a fabulous time in Darwin!! Things are sounding really poistive for you and I can't wait to hear your news. I hope you can find a PC so you can let us know your BT results. Also, I am doing much better today thanks. I think I freeked out a little bit the other day because DH told me Thursday night that one of our friends is pregnant. He is under strick instructions to keep any more such news from me till after my BT!
Taurean & Airline - Hi, I hope you are both well and keeping busy.
Mitf xo

Mitf, glad to hear you're feeling less stressed out. It is hard to hear others news while you're waiting yourself so good plan with the holding back on DH on that kinda info. There haven't been many positives on here recently so hopefully we're due a big string of BFPs. Darwin trip is for work so I'll have my laptop but cannot access internet for personal use at work but will try check in from the hotel :)
Nightee night all.................

Hi Girls
I have finally made it to this thread! I had a 5 day blasty transferred yesterday. I am only new to IVF, this being my first cycle.
We have been trying for years, but thought it was due to my endo that we weren't getting pregnant. Then my DH did a sperm test and we found out that he has a blockage preventing any sperm being ejeculated (old rugby injury)! So he had a biopsy, and luckily we discovered that he does produce sperm, its just blocked.
Since I have very regular periods and ovulate on the 14th day, my FS (L Burmeister) recommended a short antagonist cycle. To be honest, I can't believe how quick and stress free it has been so far! I am sure this 2WW will prove the most difficult!
I only had 7 days of injections and managed to have 30 eggs retrieved. Of the 30, 14 were mature and 13 fertilised. Five days later we had a blasty put back and they were going to freeze the other 10 today (6 days). I would have thought that this was too late, but didn't ask any questions?? 2 have slowed down, so I assume they will dispose of them?
My blood test is on 26th August and obviously can't wait.
Just want to wish everyone in their 2WW all the best of luck, I hope this is your month!
Also, a big Congratulations to those who have had a BFP!
For those with a BFN, I am sorry it hasn't been your month. Hopefully you will get your BFP in your next cycle
Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday! And thanks for reading, I have been viewing all the posts for a while which has been a great help. Everyone here is so supportive! Thanks

Hello lovely ladies :D
I have just had my 1st IUI, so am know on the TWW......
I have twidled my thumbs since IUI day & now not sure what to do. I have read on here heaps of couples having injections since IUI day - what's the go with that?? I haven't been told BT day, or to have injections, so a little confussed about it all.
Is it whatever the FS decides is best for your situation? I had 2 really good healthy follicles, so just wait I guess.
Good luck & Best wishes for everyone
:2ww:

Hi Colinsgirl - looks like you were posting as I was reading! My IUI was at the beginning of the year...and it sounds awful but neither DH (who's busy in the kitchen and listening to me as I pass on how everone's doing!:D) can remember too much about it. We've done 2 IVF cycles since then, but I do know I didn't inject myself at all. I think I just had the Ovidrel injection to ensure maturation of follicals prior to the IUI.
But good luck and fingers crossed for ya. BTW...30 eggs!!??? wow! I got 5 both IVF cycles!

amy - welcome and good luck! 30 eggs is incredible, I got 5 both IVF cycles. keep busy and smiling:D
jasminstar - great news that you're feeling good and craving good food. hope things go well, and fingers crossed you get that BFP in Darwin. I noticed some of you girls get tests for progesterone etc in middle of 2ww. I don't get that, but is that cos I'm having to squeeze progesterone cream up inside (sorry TMI)??
mitf - have not POAS yet...talked to DH and he said we could do one on day of BT which is 19th (changed by clinic) - can't decide. Did I read on here that someone did a test everyday leading up to BT to see if line darkened?
ASFM - still feeling good. have a little 'stuff' going on down there...hard to explain, not cramps, not discomfort, just 'aware it's there' kindof thing. Felt like baking last night when DH was on nightshift, so baked muffins at 9.30pm!!! not like me! Quite emotional about stuff too, tearing up quickly, but that's normal for me before AF.
