Loops, firstly i have had no symptoms with this pg and was sure it was another BO (blighted ovum is where the sac develops but the baby does not, this can sometimes continue to 12 weeks when ladies usually get their first scan, you may still get pg symptoms)
with regards to getting pg with no tubes, that is after all why IVF was invented! we can only ever concieve with IVF.
-
Thanks ladies. Ive managed to get a BT today, so we'll see. All the symptoms are pointing towards ectopic but I guess you never know.
Loula ~ I feel like a goose as I just thought about the famale reproductive system and realised that yeh it would have to be through IVF but you could still get pg without tubes.
Also I read up on a blighted ovum. I think i would prefer that, even though it would be hard of course to deal with probably not as bad on the body and falling preg again.
Thanks for making me feel a bit more at ease.
Wishing you all the very best ladies! For happy and healthy pregnancies!
-
My results showed a Beta of only 19, the lab said they can't tell if levels are going up or down but not holding my breath. :cry:Have to go back wed for another BT
-
Hi ladies, I am jumping in here and joining you all for the TWW. I had my first FET today. Two three-day embies survived the thaw, so that is good news. I also tried acupuncture pre and post transfer - another first. FX we've done all we can to give them a good start.
I haven't had the time to catch up with everyone's persies as yet, and I'm about to start dinner as I am starving! But I will try to catch up with everyone over the next couple of days.
-
Where is everyone?
Is there anyone out there? :)
Day 2 in this TWW and counting ... Actually I'm keeping pretty busy with work and other commitments so it's not too bad. But then I always find that the second week is when I start becoming much more impatient.
GL for your BT tomorrow, Renee. Hoping that your levels continue to rise.
Belated congrats, Miss K. That's great news. Wishing you a H&H PG.
Loops, I posted a message to you in the other forum. that it's late implantation.
Hey Leabie, how are you feeling?
-
Hi lovely ladies!
Renee - got my :crossfingers: for you that you've just got a slow starter on your hands, and your levels head skywards! Let us know the results of your BT today.
Loops - how you doing sweetie? Did you get the results of your BT? (I haven't checked the LTTTC thread yet). that all is OK and its just breakthrough bleeding.
Brunette - HI! :hello: Great to see you back here! I hear you on the first week of the TWW, I usually fly through it, thinking "this is easy!". Ha! I'm one day away from due date for AF, and my heart is pounding, I'm so nervous! Hope your little embies are settling in nicely, you had 2 put back in, yes?
Hi to anyone else in here!
AFM - well, I'm on day 13, and BBT hasn't dropped yet, so I've got 24 agonizing hours to go til the dreaded AF is due! Had lots of cramping yesterday, so was losing faith, but while there's temperature, there's hope! Right?! :) Hehe.
-
Renee ~ dont give up hope hun, with my levels being low ive read up on a lot of stuff and womens levels and lots of women have had Beta's that low on the 1st BT. That 1st one doesnt matter so much its how it doubles and increases over the next few days that counts, GL will have everything crossed for you! Check out the search feature and search low HCG its amazing what you find out. Unfortunately for me my low leves are accompanied by signs of ectopic preganancy :shakehead:
Brunette ~ Thanks hun for all your wishes. Well done and all the best in TWW, hope you get that BFP!! FX
Leabie ~ Thank you, unfortunately im still pretty in the dark. GL to you for this cycle! FX
Miss K ~ thanks hun, I just had the 1 embie put back.
AFM ~ Im back to thinking its ectopic. Ive had shoulder pain starting and abdominal pain and unfortunately I just have to bloody wait until my BT Fri as its too early to show up on ultrasound and just have to wait and hope nothing ruptures. Although I have stopped bleeding :wall:
-
Hi girls
Unfortunately my level fell to 11 today, so i have had another chemical preg:crying:Life can just be so unfair sometimes. Just feels so out of reach at the moment.
-
Oh Renee, I'm sooooo, so sorry to hear your news. You're right, its so bl*#@y unfair. Sending you a massive  right now, make sure you let it out, have a good cry or a scream (or both!). Lean on us, we've got big shoulders.
You WILL achieve your dream sweetie.
-
Hey Everyone,
Just popping in to give some positive vibes to you all, and hoping to see more of you joining me and the others in the "Pregnancy after LTTTC" soon!
Loops - sounds like you have some interesting stuff going on. I would like to add that I experienced shoulder tip pain last year during a FET and it turned out I had gallstones. My IVF was on hold for 5 - 6 months whilst I got rid of them naturally. But.....my first FET after all this was over became a BFP. Crazy, after trying for 3.5yrs, that my liver and gallbladder were my showstoppers!!! I found out that your liver has a lot to do with your hormones. I have endo too, but still managed to fall. Shoulder tip pain could be a myriad of things.....I am keeping my fingers crossed for you real tight. There is a big vacancy in "Pregnancy after LTTTC" with your name in neon lights on it, waiting for you!!!!! This is your year cowgirl. Don't give up!
Renee - sorry to hear that honey. I know that feeling well. I have to agree with Leabie, you will achieve your dream - go for it!
Everyone else. Thinking of you on your journey's. Keep going. It's so worth it when you get there. Never let it get the better of you.

Hi girls,
I had my ET yesterday - so only 13 days to go!! For the next 4 I'm off work - trying to relax and have DH take care of me!!
Has anyone continued with acupunture during their TWW? My acupunturist said that I should go in next Wednesday for a follow-up session ...
So anyway, it's nice to now be in this forum (although many familiar names in here!!)
GL to everyone :stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesboy:
-
mum-2-be - I didn't have acupuncture at all because I was scared of the needles!! LOL
Renee - As I said in the other thread I am soo soo sorry :(
Loops - Hang in there babe!!! More answers for you tomorrow I hope today goes fast so then you can get all the answers you need
Leabie - Where there is temperature there is hope!!
Brunette - How you going in your 2ww??
-
Hi ladies
Thanks for your thoughts and wishes.
Mindhugs ~ thanks for sharing hun. I did actually read that about the liver too and that is a possiblility with me because Ive always had trouble when drinking alcohol. I quite often get a indigestion type gut ache and have always wondered if something was wrong with my liver. Will be intereting to find out what is goin on. But thanks for giving me that hope.
All of the stories are helping me to relax more so I cant thank people enough. Thank you xo
Mum-2-be ~ GL in TWW, hope you dont go too crazy.
All the best ladies
-
mum-2-be - welcome to the 2WW! Hope its stress-free for you, and all goes smoothly.
Miss K - thanks for your support! Unfortunately, the laws of BBT seem to not apply to me...
AFM - Well, I'm out. Even though my temp didn't drop, AF arrived in full force yesterday. Pretty bummed, as now I don't even trust temperature charting! :shakehead: IVF is the next step for us, probably start next month.
The only good thing is, at least I can have a few glasses of wine for my birthday tonight!
Good luck to everyone in here still waiting, hope you get wonderful news!
-
Leabie - I am soo sorry to hear!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
-
Leabie ~ once again im so sorry hun  Yeh look on the bright side that you can drink on your birthday. And IVF might be that step that is all you need and hopefully it'll work 1st go. HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUN, try and have a great night xo
-
Renee, sorry to hear that it didn't work for you this time
Loops, still got my FX for you and hoping that everything works out. What's happening now - are you having another BT?
Leabie, really sorry to hear your news, hun. Happy belated birthday.
Welcome to the 2ww, Mindhugs. Hope it goes quickly for you - and all of us :)
m2b, I got pre and post acupuncture and she wanted me to come back in a week's time but to be honest we can't afford to. IVF is sooo expensive, esp now with the changes to the safety net from this year. She gave me a post transfer tonic which I mix with hot water and take daily to help with implantation, so FX hey?
Hi Miss K, thanks for asking. I'm not feeling anything - no symptoms, nothing. I think I am getting a bit negative, you know, none of the other attempts have worked, why will this one? I think I am protecting myself and just trying to have an even keel. Hope you're doing well on your journey!
-
good luck to those waiting in the TWW, try to keep yourselves occupied, it helps you to stay sane. x o
-
I have not dropped by for a while, just wanted to send everyone fresh babydust XX
Will be oficially in here in 2 weeks, if Blasty thaws X
-
Hey girls,
Not much is happening on BB lately!! Hope everyone is still well!!
Brunette - Not long now - only 7 more days!! What is the mix you were given to drink? How is it supposed to help with the implantation? so many things to learn!!
Mindhugs - hope your TWW is going quickly too!!
Miss K - how is pregnancy treating you?? Do you feel any different?? Must be so exciting!!
Renee - I really hope that the next one is the ONE!!
Loops - what's going on? I've been coming on here a few times a day just to find out. I REALLY hope everything is great and positive!!
Murrycod - can't wait to see you in here!! It'll happen!!
Leabie - I'm really sorry to hear that AF arrived ... that the next one is definately the one!!
AFM - well I have 9 days to go - but who's counting!! I had what I hope was implantation bleeding the day after ET - so I think that it has all gone well. The worst thing for me at the moment is the bloating - I think I have actually gone up a dress size .. or two dress sizes!! Is that normal? It is still a little sensitive in my lower abdomen - is that normal too? I've been drinking a protein drink everyday and trying to keep the fluids up. Otherwise, trying not to think about it - but what else is there to think about!!
-
Hey m2b, to be honest I don't really know what's in the tonic, other than it's to assist with the implantation. I was taking some Chinese herbs prescribed by my naturopath called Fertility II. My acupuncturist told me that the tonic is stronger than Fertility II and to take it for the first week, as it's a lot stronger, and then in the second week to take the tablets. FX, hey?
I'm not feeling anything - no symptoms, nothing. This is my first FET. In my other stim cycles, I usually spot before BT so I know that I'm not pregnant. Today is day 26, and I usually get AF on day 28 with spotting days before but my FS has me on progesterone tablets and pessaries three times a day! So I'm not getting my hopes up. Seems every time I do, they get crushed.
Did you have a blasty or a three-day transferred? I don't usually suffer from bloating after transfer, but everyone's different. Can I ask why you're taking a protein drink daily?
-
Hey Brunette, I'm taking protein because it is supposed to keep OHSS away and give the embryo a longer survival or something positive like that !!! I also read in a book we should be taking protein during the pregnancy too because it helps bub.
I actually had a 2 day transfer - went in for EPU on Monday and ET Wednesday. I had two embryos inserted, each being 4 cells. I think my FS is of the view that the best place for the embryos to grow (and split) is inside the women's body, so all of the women there have the 2 day transfers. What did you have?
I just calculated my days, and I generally get AF on day 32 - which is the same day as the BT!! But I won't get it - I'm really thinking positive - It's my first time and the FS gave us a really good chance of it working - so I'm putting my faith in his expertise!! And I'm going to start the :noaf: protest for you!!
How many rounds of IVF have you had? Oh - as for the symtoms, I haven't had any either (just the bloating and really sore boobs - but they started to get sore leading up to EPU!!), but that doesn't mean anything - actually a book that I received from QFG said that most symtoms dont even start until week 5. I'm really  this is your (and my) time!!
-
Hi ladies, thanks for your wishes and support. Sorry to keep you waiting, ive been away for the weekend, spending time with my 14month old niece. We took her to the zoo - she was just gorgeous.
So the results... HCG is up to 1300 but Progesterone still low at 12 so more BT's to come and nurse is going to check with FS to see how early I can have ultrasound - hopefully sooner than later.
Brunette ~ all the best hun. I know what you mean about guarding yourself as I do it all the time. I dont think we can help but stress. FX and GL!!
Mum-2-be ~ Have F and TX for you too hun. Hoping this is it for both of you!
:bluedust::stickyvibesgirl: I think the bloating can be quite common, so I would try not too worry about that. Very good you had implantation type blood.
-
m2b, I've never been told by my FS to take protein shakes. And I've never had a two-day transfer; we've had day 5 and day 3 transfers on the stim cycles and for the frozen cycle they thawed two three-day embryos, which I think they prefer to do for frozens. All in all, we've had two IUIs, three stims and this one frozen. I also go to QFG. Whose your FS there? I've been seeing Dr Bob Watson. Thanks for your no AF protest! FX for us both.
Loops, I'm feeling for you. Gosh, I bet you just want to know what is going on. I dont know anything about HCG or progesterone levels, as I've never gotten that far. But we're all hoping and sending positive vibes for you.
-
Hey girls,
Brunette - I see Dr David Molloy at QFG. I did the IVF - so it may just be for that ... not sure. I don't really know anything about IUI or stems - this is my first time and we went straight to IVF (DH had a vas just when we met - so they are still their but no swimmers!!). When is your BT? Also do you work in the city? If so, we should catch up this week (or next week) for lunch or coffee - what do you think? I'd love to meet up and chat with someone going through the same thing!!
Loops - its great to hear from you again!! Although not so great that you are still no closer to finding out!! I am  SOOOO HARD for you!! I really hope that it turns out positive for you!!
AFM - well, still really bloated - but I think it may have gone down a little bit. I think I woke up during the night with pain in my left ovarie area - although I don't know if I dreamt it or if it was real!! I just called QFG and they said that with my symtoms I have OHSS, so I need to up my water intake again and drink even more protein... And my BT is supposed to be on 18 March, but if I really want to, I can go in on the 17th!!
-
Hugs to all you gals. I am thinking of each and every one of you.
Loops- those hcg levels are really good. I didnt get that high on any of my ectopics and I was 3 months with one of them. Has the FS perscribed progesterone for you? There are alot of ladies that carry healthy babies to term with low prog.
Why are they not doing a laposcropy if they wont do a scan? I cant believe they are letting you hang in limbo like this! I am getting mad for you...
Big hugs everyone,
Sammie
-
Thanks so much ladies but I just started bleeding - VERY HEAVY! So Im either losing it or have Ectopic as suspected. Im booked in for an ultrasound at 11.40 tomorrow at my clinic. Just hope i dont end up in hospital before then. Im still hoping to god its not ectopic but either way its looking bad :crying:
Sammiejam ~ thanks hun, for thinking of me and getting angry for me. Its all been a bit of a nightmare. My replacement nurse just checked with FS today and he said I could have a scan ASAP so Im a bit upset she didnt call earlier. But looks like all is coming to a head anyway. TMI warning. MY bleeding is clotty and purple but I guess that could be just a miscarriage too. I havent had any real bad pains just like a normal period so far so perhaps not ectopic if it gets worse I'll go to my local hospital though.
Thanks for your prayers and wishes ladies, you have been amazing! xoxo
-
:( :( :(
Oh honey, no... bloody hell. I am sooo sorry. Purple and clotty and really heavy huh. Doesnt sound to good. BUT you have had consistant bleeding all the way along so you never know... it may still be ok.
I am glad you are not in pain. If you start feeling a stabbing like pain or something akin to a cramp but worse GET TO THE HOSP.
(((((((((Loops)))))))))))
I am thinking of you sweetie.
Hugs,
Sammie.
-
Thanks Sammie - I will get straight to hospital if the pain gets any worse - so far its not too bad but I know its definitely a loss as Ive never had this much bleeding before :crying:
-
Loops, I'm so sorry to hear this. It sounds absolutely horrible what you've been through, and are still going through.
m2b, I'm going to send you a private message re catching up, but sounds good. My BT is 15 March, so only a few days before yours!
-
Hey lovely ladies,
Loops ~ as I said in the other thread, I'm  that the scan shows something positive for you.
Brunette ~ Only 5 more days!! Oh I can't wait for your BT results!!
AFM – Went to see the FS this morning because I'm in a fair bit of pain in the abdomen - severe bloating, nausea, shooting pains etc. FS said that I had OHSS - I thought that it only really took hold after ETU - but that was 9 days ago, and yesterday / today is the worst. Anyway, he said that I should up my intake of fluid to 3 litres and drink MORE protein. The way I feel, I can't injest anything... Anyway, on the positive side, he said that it is most likely caused because I'm pregnant!! But he won't to a BT until next Wednesday because I had the FHS injection yesterday morning. So if the result of this pain is a BFT, I don't mind one bit!!
-
Thanks ladies
I know that I have miscarried! I did survive the night however so looks like might not have been ectopic. Not sure if I'll be going to the scan or not.
Thanks so much for you support and all the very best to you all. Hoping to see BFP's in here very soon, FX
Im going to stick to the other thread now but will pop my head in to see how you are all going.
:stickyvibesboy::stickyvibesgirl:
-
Hi Loops, I just read your post in the other thread. You are so brave. I know I could not be as calm as you are in handling the unknown. I am soooo hoping that everything is going to be fine for you!
m2b, how are you going this evening?
AFM, I'm a bit down ATM. I got some spotting this arvo. Only a small amount but I'm on three pessaries daily plus two progesterone tablets daily. Why can I never get through to a BT without spotting! I'm trying not to get upset but I feel like we keep going through the motions and never get any further than this stage.
-
Hey,
Loops - I read your post in the other thread ... I can't believe you still dont have a definative answer :shakehead: . I'm  that in the end, it is a BFP!!
Brunette - hun, please cheer up ... I feel terrible that you are down. its implantation spotting. I'm still protesting for you!!
AFM - well, I left work at 11:30am, had acupuncture at 11:45 (which was great - I fell asleep again!!) and then came home to bed. Slept for 2 hours and got up and cooked dinner. I don't think the bloating has subsided any yet, but I do feel a lot better than yesterday and this morning. The acupuncturist said it should go down in a day and a half - I can't wait!! Just been trying to eat more protein and drink more water. I'll work from home tomorrow to try and assist it to go down too - there's no place like home!!
-
Thanks ladies :grouphug:
Brunette ~ hang in there hun, could be implantation this time. Just look at my journey this cycle, really we just dont know until BTs or ultrasounds and even then sometimes its still hard to tell. So chin up and FX
Mum-2-be ~ Im glad the OHSS is subsiding a bit and you are feeling better. Sounds like you are getting plenty of rest so that is great! Hoping the pain goes completely today.
AFM ~ yeh Im not holding my breath as there was no heart beat yesterday but it could have also been too early. Im trying really hard not to stress, whatever will be will be I guess. And at least we have come that one step closer.
-
loops: fingers crossed for a BFP. x o
sending some sticky vibes to ALL others in the TWW. good luck to you
-
Thanks JBM - appreciate it. Everyones fingers must be getting sore for us lol
My nurse is seeing my FS today and they will call me about the results, so might get some kind of answers today.
-
Hello Ladies,
I am now officialluy in theTWW yay!!...BT scheduled on the 29th March. Hopefully AF does not rear her ugly head before this date like she did last time.:crying:
Mum-2-be and Brunette ~ you are both nearly at the end of your 2WW...I am so excited for you both...:pink-babydust::bluedust: to both of you...
I was wondering if anyone does anything different during the TWW?? The nurse at the FC basically just said to relax and not participate in any strenuous activity which may raise my body temperature. I would be interested to hear what you ladies do to relax and survive the TWW.
-
Melttc - I tried to just relax for the first few days!! I stayed home from work, watched movies and just relaxed!! Just make sure that you drink plenty of protein and drink lots of water (my FS said 3 litres per day). They say not to do anything too physical (that would make you sweat). Other than that, just hang in there!! Mine has been a little different because I developed OHSS - so because of the pain, my mind has been taken off of thinking about being on the TWW!! But the pain is subsiding now, and only 4 days to go till I find out!! I'm thinking positively, so I hope that helps (I watched the 'Secret' a few years ago, and since then the positive thinking really seems to work for me)!!
How are you coping so far?
Brunette - I hope your feeling better ... are you ok?
Loops - did you hear anything yesterday from your FS?
AFM - well, I woke up at around 1:30am yesterday morning with really bad shooting pains in my lower tummy and couldn't get back to sleep because of it - but took some panadol which helped after a while. Then, later that morning, my sister called to tell me that with each one of her '5' children (very fertile!), she had shooting pain that was pretty bad when the embryo was implanting- so maybe the shooting pain was the implanting (gotta think positive!!). Anyway, only 4 more days!!
-
Thanks Mum-2-be for your suggestions. I have never been told to drink protien before. However my diet usually consists of two meat portions per day. I agree with the water. My body doesnt seem to get enough. I basically carry a water bottle everywhere I go. I jumped on the scales this morning and found I had lost 1.5kgs. I am guessing its because the fluid in the follicles have been flushed out.
So far I am coping alright. To be honest I am trying not too think about it. I had an accupuncture session this morning. I have been prescribed new chinese herbs to assist with trying to get pregnant. I guess its now up to my body to do the rest. I do find it hard to rest...I am normally quite an active person.
I have a lady who cleans my house once a week so I won't be doing any strenuous activity. Also gave up netball and the gym for the next two weeks.
Your symptoms sound promising!! I have my fingers and toes crossed for you. Good to hear about your positive attitude...not long to go now x
