Major :confetti: congratulations to Seachange and Rob for their success.
Huge  to you Danyelle for your loss.
And here's to making these days go a whole lot faster!!
danyelle so sorry things didn't work out for you this time:grouphug:
As for you Rob I think 3 tests well and truly show that you have the BFP so happy for you:leap:
AFM last night I convinced myself that because I don't feel any different well it must not have worked this time. I feel quite down and I don't know why could AF be on the way?
Danyelle, sending you  Thanks for the explanation. Spoil yourself this weekend, because you deserve it.
Terry, :crossfingers: and :goodluck: Hang in there.
I have my EPU tomorrow, so will soon have the dreaded TTW. What I don't get is this: how come if you try to conceive naturally, you can test 14dpo. If you do ART and do a day 3 transfer, you still have to wait for 14 days before you can do a BT. And if you do a day 5 transfer, you still have to wait for 14 days before you can do a BT! It confounds me. Surely if you do a day 5 transfer, you have already waited 5 days and should be able to book in for BT 9 days later. It's not fair; much longer to stress and dwell ...
Hi Girls
Seachange and Rob - a big fat congratulations for both of you
Danyelle - Sorry for you hun, it's just a matter of time until you find the right egg
SRose - Hope you had promising results this morning
Terry - BOL from me
And postitve vibes to everyone in the crazy :2ww:
AFM - Our good quality Blastie survived the thaw, and I had a positive experience with our transfer, the FS and new hospital was amazing. 24 hours after Blast transfer, I had a small brown stringy bleed, and dull af cramps. I havent had a bleed after a Blastie TF before so I pray it's good news. Well it's enough to give me some hope
hello all. just popping in to say congratulations to those with good results and send hugs to those who don't.
There's a bit in this months grazia (of all the bizarre places) about good fats being essential to fertility. So just in case you aren't scoffing enough nuts and avocados, I thought I'd recommend you read it next time you are in the hairdressers/ docs waiting room!
Lots of baby dust to you all and apologies if I can't work out how to turn off my ticker, I am trying but am technologically incompetent
Hi all
Just popping in to join you ladies on the TWW.
I had EPU on 19/11 with transfer of 1 blastie on 24/11. We had 14 eggs collected with all being fertilised. Heres hoping for as much good luck with a BFP. Currently on crinone (1 daily) - our HCG test is on Monday 30/11 - its going to be a very long weekend.
No symptoms at present other than a bit of cramping which is probably from the crinone.
Good luck to everyone on the TWW.
Hi Venus, I'm going in tomorrow for my EPU. We're hoping to also do a day 5 transfer with a blastie. I find it interesting that you can do a BT less than 2 weeks after your EPU, whereas they are telling me that I have to wait a full two weeks after my transfer to do one! Different clinics must have different wait times. If this cycle doesn't work, I am going to start asking the hard questions before the next one.
Afternoon Ladies,
Well DH and I are back after our week long holiday in Fiji. Although, whilst we were away, it seems that the weather was hotter here in Sydney lol.
Its so hard to catch up on all that has happened whilst we were away!! I have had a browse but I think i will try and keep up from today.
So, an update for you all. Well had our first BT last tues 17/11 which showed some levels of hcg but not enough to make it official (was 27). I couldnt help myself whilst we were away so I snuck into my luggage some HPT's :). So after last Tues, was asked to come back when we returned from holidays which was today. So went in bright and early this morning. Just had the call and they have told me that I need to go in again on Monday to make sure my levels are doubling appropriately. Today my level was at 537. The nurse commented that all levels were going nicely but when I asked when would we know "öfficially" because family are asking about the results, she said we have to wait till Monday!!!!! Mind you did 2 POAS whilst we were away (last POAS was on Tues just gone).
So were still kind of waiting. We dont want to say anything to family yet until IVF sign off on it. FX still and plenty of  too.
mother...that is bloody wonderful news~!!!!!!!
Woohoo mhic, thats great news.look forward to hearing update monday
Oooh, MHIC, that's sounding wonderful! Great news, and congratulations!
You poor thing, you're having a 4WW, not a 2WW! Glad you had a great time in Fiji, what a nice distraction!
hmmmm my boobs are getting sorer over the last day.when i woke this morning they were killing me.its still most likely they way my cycle affects me now,but ya never know.
welcome venus :D
Thankyou for the welcomes.
Congrats Mother - your hcg levels are fab - well done!! Definitely up the duff :)
Brunette, I hope your EPU went well and you got lots of lovely eggs. Rest up today and have a great weekend. Having done 3 previous EPUs I now breathe a sign of relief after it as it means no more horrid injections (BTs ones arent that bad). In relation to BT times, my clinic tests 6 days after blast transfer. My last preg was successful and HCG (although minimal) definitely showed on the 6th day. From my experience, however, there are some benefits with prolonging the BT ie: if its just a chemical pregnancy it may save you a bit of heartache.
Take care all.
Hi all,
Please remember that guidelines prohibit "double-posting" across different LT TTC chatter threads - it makes them too long. We will start to delete these double posts if we come across them in the future.
Feel free to PM me, or the other mods if you wish to discuss this,
Thanks and best wishes to everyone,
Jo
Venus - Thanks for your well wishes for my EPU. Best of luck for Monday. Hope the weekend flies for you.
It all went well. We were expecting 8 follicles and a couple of `stragglers'.
BUT we ended up with 15 follicles - our highest number yet.
My FS called this morning. Of 15, two were non-injectible. So of 13 follicles, 11 have fertilised! :D
So now it's the dreaded TWW+5d (since our clinic tests two weeks after transfer).
Fingers crossed, hoping and praying our little embies are strong and continue growing. Kiss and hugs to them in their little petrie dishes. Transfer is scheduled for Wednesday.
Hi :hello:
It's been a while since I've been in here, but I've been lurking and reading. I was hoping I could come in and wait this awful two weeks out with you lovely ladies? DH and I have just started IVF, have little idea of what to expect, and are hoping for the best. Most aspects have gone fine, but transfer was rather traumatic because the embryologist knocked the dish holding our one embryo and lost it! 20 minutes later they found it and then the transfer went well, everyone saying the embryo was ok. Has anyone else heard of this happening and things being ok?
Quick stats for me: antagonist cycle (125 iu Puregon, orgalutran), 6 eggs collected, 1 immature, 3 eggs frozen, 1 fertilized with two sperm  , 1 fertilized and transferred Day 3, Crinone :shakehead: and pregnyl. BT 9/12.
I hope to get up to speed and get to know all of you soon.
-Sal :)
Hi ladies
Been a bit busy lately so haven't posted
MHIC its great news that everything is going so well for you. Hope you numbers keeping climbing
Trubabe hope your still travelling ok
For all of you new to the post welcome and hope your stay here is short
AFM still no visible signs but things seem to have calmed down hopefully AF wont arrive. Still 5 sleeps till BT have busy weekend so hopefully wont think about 2WW too much
Hi ladies
Congrats to those of you who got your BFP recently. And i'm so sorry for those who didn't.
My TWW is going fine, i've been way to busy to obsess about it. Obviously its on my mind but not in a driving me crazy way.
Im not feeling anything much. Some cramping. Ive heard the crinone can make you crampy but i was using it for 4 days before transfer with no effects and the cramps started two days after transfer. But i wont read to much into it as it may just have a build up effect.
Hope your all well.
xx
Hi all you lovely ladies
Hope you're all surviving the TWW as best you can!
Brunette - congrats on the pick up - what a nice surprise to have more eggs than you were expecting!
Sal79, Venus, S'rose, wouldluvabubba - HI!! :hello:
Terry - hang in there, not too long til your test now, great that you're keeping busy this weekend.
Trubabe - sore BBs can never be a bad sign, can they? ;)
AFM - still seems a looong way til my BT (if I make it that far, AF usually shows up before BT due). Found out yesterday that DH has to stay in PNG another week, so won't be around for the results. :shakehead: Having heaps of symptoms - fatigue, nausea, really sore BBs with tingly nipples, etc, but I'm trying to convince myself that they're all just side effects of the drugs, and that I've just talked myself into being UTD! At least I'm feeling tired so I can sleep away part of this dreaded TWW... :wall:
Hi to everyone I've missed, hope you're all doing OK.
Hi Everyone,
Well this is my very first post on this forum (or any forum like this). I'm not a shy person normally but for some unknown reason, I have some phobia of chat rooms and forums! So here I am conquering my phobia.
I, like most of you other lovely ladies, are currently in the TWW. This is my fourth (and most successful) IVF cycle so far but only my second TWW. I have severe endo; one ovary & tube have been removed and I have a low reserve in my remaining ovary. Despite all this and my first three cycles being unsuccessful, I am very optimistic about this one. I had my EPU on Tuesday 17th and was absolutely thrilled to wake up with 3 written on my hand!! All 3 fertilised (even more stoked) and I was scheduled for a transfer on Saturday 21st. On the Thursday though, I was admitted to hospital with excruciating pain in my abdomen and it turns out I had an infection (likely from EPU). I stayed in for 2 nights and was fed morphine and antibiotics through an IV. I was released on Saturday and my wonderful FS and embryologist agreed to do my transfer on Sunday for me. I had two blasties transferred. The third didn't make it to day 5.
So now I’m awaiting my BT which is on the 3rd. My first cycle was the only other one that I’ve successfully made it to transfer and the evil AF arrived the day before BT was due. I was devastated (as I’m sure you all can understand). This time though, I’m expecting a BFP!! I don’t have any symptoms of anything out of the ordinary and I feel completely normal (other than obvious effects of Crinone)... is this common in TWW?
Anyway... just wanted to say hi and congratulations to all of you who have finally gotten your BFP! And I’m very sorry to hear about those of you who haven’t - you'll have your time eventually - just like I will...
:crossfingers:
Sal79, sounds like quite a day you had :
embryologist knocked the dish holding our one embryo and lost it! 20 minutes later they found it and then the transfer went well, everyone saying the embryo was ok. Has anyone else heard of this happening and things being ok?
Although my dish was not knocked my embie was drawn up, inserted and then at the last minute FS changed his mind and took out the catheter, put the embie back in the dish and started all over again....scared the C*** out of me and my DH and thought for sure damage was done to our one and only embie and that we would end up with a BFN.
However I am happy to say that no damage was done and we have a baby boy.
Hope this can help ease your mind a bit and just stay positive that your little embie will stay nice and snug for the next 9 months
Best of luck to everyone in the TWW, hope to see lots of BFP!!
Hello Ladies.
A very big, warm congratulations to all those of you who have shared your happy news. And bigger, warmer hugs to those of use still in the mix trying to get through our tww. :D
It's been a while since I've been here. Struggling with this whole thing. I'm nearing the end of my upteenth tww and have been thinking of you ladies and how you all are.
DH and I have now decided to go the IVF route. I'm desperately hoping that it won't come to that. But the frank, honest part of me knows it's the only choice we have left.
I just want to say how much I admire all of you who not only try the IVF thing but do it more than once or twice. You are all so strong and comitted and it's truly wonderful to see.
Good luck to you all and do try to stay cool!
Bronsie - :hello: Welcome to the site. Hope your wait, like all of ours, goes quickly. Sounds like you have had a pretty dramatic time between EPU and ET. It's nice that your FS and embryoligist worked on Sunday to transfer your blasties. In response to your question about what is normal to expect during TWW, I don't think there is a `normal'. Other ladies mention cramping from Crinone, but I never get this. Previous symptoms have been sore boobs, bloating, tiredness and being very thirsty - but all symptoms were side-effects of the drugs as all BFNs. :goodluck: to you.
Leabie - It must be so hard to go through the TWW by yourself. I know I drive my partner mad by constant obsessing. At least you can share thoughts/feelings through this forum and we can all obsess together :p I think it's so unfair that practically all the symptoms that drugs give you (ie sore boobs, tiredness etc) are the same symptoms you would expect if pregnant!
Sal, your transfer sounds traumatic. I think I would give the embryolgist a good whack over the head! The only similar thing I have heard about the embryo being dropped was in a quarterly QFG newsletter - and they didn't find that embryo; the lady's only one to be transferred that day! Hopefully Nicole's positive result is giving you some relief.
I have a question for you ladies: After hearing fertilisation rates on day 1 (after ET), is it usual to get a report on day 3 and then if you're doing a day 5 transfer to simply turn up to the hospital not knowing whether you've got a blastie or whatever? On our first cycle I think I only heard on day 1 and I called most days after that but didn't know till turning up at hospital that we only had two morulas; no blasties. The second time it was a day 3, so I think we only got a report on day 1. Tomorrow (Monday) is day 3. I do have our scientist's number and am thinking of calling for day 3 report. Do others call their scientiests or do you automatically get a day 3 report? Thanks in advance ...
Good luck to everyone out there in the TWW forum! :crossfingers:
Hiya ladies,
How are our Sunday's going so far????
So I have a question for you all. As you may or may not have known, Im kind of going through a 4ww rather than a 2ww and FX we will have our final BT and "official" answer tomorrow. However last night I got into a bit of a panic about having an ectopic pregnancy. After a nice cool shower, I settled onto the bed with the fan going full boar to keep me cool (this heat is really getting to me. Normally Im really, really good) I was laying there, flat on my back enjoying the fan. Then i sneezed and had this extremely excruciating (sp?) stabbing/ripping/pulling type pain where I would say my right ovary is. It lasted a couple of seconds only but now has be worried that after all this, little froggy didnt implant in the right spot!!!!!
Anyone provide some advice or words of wisdom. Was going to call the clinic today but decided to wait till tomorrow. Today Im feeling fine, apart from a slight, slight bit off colour this morning etc. Oh also should add that there was no bleeding etc afterwards. Was just really alarming.
spotting here this morning so the witch will be here by tomorrow and ive been a moody cow all weekend lol
Motherhood your ovaries are prob still a little sensitive and larger than normal from the IVF. I can still feel the difference in mine sometimes. I wouldn't panic. Just mention it to your nurse tomoz.
Also because you have had a 4WW when you get your final positive you be basically be 6weeks pg anyway and almost due for your first scan!!!
x
MHIC - I've been having the same thing for the last couple of days, and I don't even know if I'm UTD, so try not to panic, I'm sure everything will be fine. Do ask the nurse tomorrow, and as Jaki said, you're body has been mucked around by hormones, so your ovaries are probably still sore. I'm sure they'll do a scan if they're worried, but I'll bet all is OK. I've had that type of pain many times over the years, but I think it was due to my PCOS.
trubabe - sorry to hear about the spotting, hope you're doing OK hon. This process just sucks, doesn't it?
Just dropping in for a messsage for MHIC
I've had 2 ectopic pregnancies and the pain I had was different to what you described. It was like a dull ache that never went away. HTH
:pray: that you get some good results tomorrow. GL
Motherhood...It sounds like a similar pain that I had in the first 8 weeks of pregnancy. My OB stated that it was probably the ligaments starting to soften up and any sudden movement can sometimes cause a sharp pain. Fingers crossed for you tomorrow!
Good luck to all you lovely ladies with you TWW!!
Belinda
Morning Ladies,
Well am back from my BT and now just have to wait, wait, and some more wait. Hmmm dont know what to think this morning. Am feeling "normal" no symptoms at all. Oh well we will wait and see. Thats all I can do I suppose.
Will let you know when the results are in.
Monday morning, yuck. Hello to all fellow TWW-ers!
MHIC - Good luck for today. When can you call for the results?
Trubabe - Sorry to hear your news.
Hiya Brunette!
I need to wait for them to call me. The last couple of times they have called it has been arround the 1.30 and 2.30pm mark. Sooooooo long to wait.
MHIC good luck with todays results I'm sure you'll be fine
Trubabe has AF shown up yet or are you still hanging in there?
bronsie welcome to the 2WW how you holding up not long now till your BT
Brunette hope your not going to crazy yet
To everyone else a big hi
AFM still hanging in there although this morning I woke up and felt that AF was just around the corner. Seems that my tummy has settled down now so I don't know what to think. Maybe its just my mind playing tricks or not. I did have a very busy weekend and did heaps and this can sometimes be an indication that its on its way I  though that I make it to Thursday and get some good news
MHIC - Only a few hours to go now. Got my :crossfingers: for you!
Terry - Here's hoping for your BT this Thursday.
AFM, I got the results of my day 3 embies this morning. All in all, it's pretty good news. Out of 11 embies, 9 are going well and only 2 are below grade with fragmentation. The difficult decision was how many to freeze at day 3. My partner and FS wanted to freeze half, but I really want to see a blastie this cycle (as never had one reach this stage). I fret that they just don't implant or stop growing and that a blastie will have a better chance.
Anyway, results for day 3 thus far are:
2 x 8-cell compacting (advanced stage, lab told me)
4 x 8-cell grade 3 (top grade at our clinic)
1 x 8-cell grade 2+
1 x 8-cell grade 2
1 x 6-cell 2+
2 x 6-cell grade 2- (with fragmentation)
So, 9 good-looking embies. I decided to have three frozen and keep 6 growing (really 8 but they don't like the odds of the two grade 2-). I hope I have done the right thing. My FS said they freeze slightly better on day 3 than day 5 but I need to see a blastie!
Sorry for boring everyone to tears by listing my results. I can't help it though
Hi ladies
Im feeling confused today. My cramps started 2 days after transfer. I thought if i was lucky and they were implantation cramps they would have settled down by now. But they seem to be getting worse. Not really bad or painful but i am always aware of the crampy feeling. Ive been taking my morning walk in the pool rather than in the heat and this morning i got a pain in the womb area so i got out.
Im getting really tempted to POAS. Embie (if still present) is at day 12.
Ah just whinging. Back to work today so that will pass some time.
Hope you are all well.
xx
Hey Jaki, It's really tough when you just don't know what is going on inside, hey? At least when the embies are in the petrie dish, you can call the lab and get a progress report. Hang in there!
So true! The more i think about the more i convince myself they are AF pains. Grrrr
x
Jaki80 hang in there your not alone in what your feeling. i woke up this morning feeling the same that AF was on the way but now I feel normal again. Occasionally maybe once an hour I get a sort of cramp too but its really low. I've read before that a crampy feeling could be cause by your uterus(I think) expanding and making room for the baby. Maybe that's what your feeling :crossfingers:
Brunette I can understand why you choose to do what you did. Each time I have an ET and it doesn't work I often think do they actually get past day 3. Don't feel bad look on the positive side. You could have frozen them at day 3 and wasted a cycle or 2 at least this way you know whether they make it further.
OMG the results are in and its a :BFP: :leap: Ultrasound booked for 21st Dec to do a head count lol.
Thank you all so mucj for your support over the last 18months we couldn't have done it without you. :grouphug:
Just know that all the cramps etc can be positive cause I have had them flat out.
