Alloy- Thanks for asking them, and letting me know!
tania - i didn't find i had any side effects from crinone...just the yucky remnants that are expelled during the day. as much as i didn't like using it, i did find it was a good way to count down till the BT! (10 crinones to go, 9 crinones to go and so on...!). hope it's not doing your head in :)
carr2walks - i POAS last time 2 days before my BT (the day I would have ovulated) and it showed a bfp (which unfortunately we lost). i think this time i will POAS again on saturday 22/11 (with my BT on 24/11). there's obviously very good reason to wait until the BT (because the HPT can be negative when you are in fact pg), but i never have the patience! :D
hi to everyone else - good luck in the lead up to your BT's! (11 days to go for me...)
lets go get some BFPs!
Mels xx
Thanks Mels. No side affects so far but its only been 2 days.
My BT is also on the 24th. Lets hope for 2 BFP!!!!
Im finding it all very daunting since its my first cycle. Feels weird to assume to be pregnant and live accordingly. I feel like Im in limbo which I guess it is really. I cant tell people "Im pregnant" even though I cant eat certain foods, be careful of lifting heavy etc and cant take medications.
Im trying to stay positive but I know realistically Im unlikely to fall pregnant from only one cycle. I dont know what the statistics are of people getting pregnant after one cycle, does anyone know?
Its so hard to keep a brave face at times and just smile when people ask, "so how are you?" Its even worse having to sit at work everyday with a girl beside me who is almost due to have her baby and having to endure EVERY detail of her pregancy etc.
Sorry to vent girls. Just having a bad day and this wait is already getting to me.
Good luck to all and my fingers AND toes are crossed!
Tania
tania - i know exactly how you feel. one of my very good friends is just about to have a baby and at times it gets very hard to endure (especially in the TWW). i also know what you mean about the food, drink, exertion...i almost feel like cancelling plans so i can just hibernate for the two weeks (so as not to draw attention to myself).
as for success on the first time round - i know two couples who got a BFP (and a baby) from their first IVF cycle. I also got a BFP the first time round, though sadly we miscarried a few days later. You have as good a chance as any to get a BFP first time round! stay super positive!  for BFPs for us both on 24/11!!

Thanks HEAPS Mels for that encourangement and stats. Makes me feel alot better. Sorry to hear of your miscarriage.
Hibernation does sound good! That way you wouldnt have to explain yourself and if your having a bad day, you can have a bad day! Not pretend to be all happy. Im so exhausted too which doesnt help.
I had major corrective surgery in July so was hoping that my body was cherry ripe to fall pregnant. Will find out soon enough. Are there any early signs during the TWW that would indicate pregnancy? I know that the crinone has side affects similar to pregnancy so dont want to think that I am if all it is is the crinone doing its thing, if that makes sense.
Thanks again Mels and hoping for a BFP for you on the 24th.
Tania
hi tania - the first time i miscarried i did have symptoms (heavy CM, very sore bb's). But then before my second miscarraige (which actually lasted longer and had a higher HCG) I had absolutely zero symptoms. I don't think anything can be really accurate other than the blood test! ...but despite my own advice, I'm always still looking for symptoms :D
Glad you hear your surgery in July went well and you're all fit to go get pg!
mels x
Thanks again Mels for the info. Its very helpful. :D
I havent read up much on pregnancy and dont want to jinx myself by buying pregnancy books. As much as I have always wanted a baby, circumstances werent right to TTC so havent done lots of research. Plus have had Endo for a while now too.
I hope the operation will make things easier too to get pregnant. At least Im not in extreme pain anymore, thankfully!
Thanks again,
Tania :noaf:
Mels- I am avoiding the shops so i don't buy a HPT! I've tested early before and got a BFN, so I think if i test too early and get a BFP i'd get too excited. MInd you, when we fell pregnant last year (naturally, in between operations) I was a week late and testing at home and it kept coming up BFN, then at dr's it was BFP- a blood test confirmed but unfortunately my levels were just too low to hold onto it.
MissMagpie- when we fell last year, even before we found out, i found i was HATING off orange juice ( and I LOVE oj), and my BB were sore for longer than usual. It sounds silly since we MC'd at just over 6 weeks, but I was queasy from probably about 4 weeks. I think it was MS- but i thought 4 weeks was too early to get sick. Who knows?!!
Hope everyone is well! Only 5 more days till BT. Woo Hoo!
MissMagpie- I meant to say HATING Orange Juice, not "off" Orange Juice. I think everyone would dislike that!! Hehe!
Good Morning girls, how is everyone feeling? I feel like this tww is dragging on and on, but I'm only 5 days from bt now. I'm starting to search for symptoms now though, which really isn't a good thing. In the shower this morning, I started thinking "Did I just feel a little nauseous? I think I did . . No, it was nothing . . Actually, I think it might have been . . No, no it's in your head . ." hahaha. My left bb is sore, and I'm bloated, but I usually get bloated and sore bbs before af anyway. The only af symptom I'm missing is bad skin, normally I've broken out by now (af would be due Saturday, if I wasn't on the pessaries). I guess the drugs could be affecting that too though.
Hope everyone is going well, and we have a few bfps to celebrate in a few days.
:grouphug:
Alloy- I know what you mean...I've been just the same in the TWW before, checkingfor symptoms, imagining symptoms, willing on symptoms...we just go a bit mad...
hang in there..not too long for you now
and all the best to the other ladies here... I feel like I am kinda here, but kinda not, because TWW after a natural cycle is so much less intense than when you KNOW you have an embryo inside you to start with and have through so much to get it there!
well hi guys. i am here again!
tania: 1st cycle is scary . good luck
alloy: i had all the symtoms last month. sore bb, felt sick, lots of loo visits but it was BFN so i'll be ignoring everything this month.
mels: counting down. not long to go. do we test around same day? day 28 for me is sun 23rd but test is on fri 28th.
possums: you never know. natural could work.
afm: well had FET on wed as planned. got acupuncture booked for friday, for relaxation.
due for testing on nov 28th. but day 28 is on sunday the 23rd and fs has given me permission to do a test if no af on day 28. fingers crossed. :noaf:
i hate the TWW, but i am sure i am not the only one ?! :2ww:
hoping for some more BFP in here soon. i did ask smithy to send us some baby dust.
good luck everyone.
hiya JBM! glad to see you here in the TWW! Yes we will be testing around the same time. I will prob do a HPT on Sat 22 Nov (2 weeks post ovulation) and then my BT is on Mon 24. Yay! baby dust for us.
   no AF for us all and lots of BFP's pre-christmas. what a treat that would be!
mels xx
Hi girls,
Hope we are all doing well and there is :noaf: in sight.
carrs2walk - thanks for your advice and I knew what you meant by the OJ, lol I am yet to feel any symptons but trying not to read too much into it.
JBM - I am finding the first time scary and dont know what to expect. I like to be in control too which doesnt help and there is no control when TTC.
Possums - good luck with your wait. Its still a stressful wait regardless.
Ive been a bit up and down today. Started my day grumpy but has gotten better :D
DP and I have been niggly with each other. Has been a stressful time, especially on the weekend. He got stage fright on day of EPU and after MANY hours, it finally happened! Its such a trying time all round and trying to keep it all together both at home and work is proving to be hard.
My fingers are still crossed for everyone! Here's for some good news soon
Tania
Tania- hang in there...it sure can be tough going all on fronts!
JBM- welcome and good luck!
all the best to you other lovely ladies too...
we are going away for a week, so I hope to return to many BFPs!
Thanks Possums. Enjoy your week away and hope its relaxing as possible.
possums: we hope you come back to many BFP too
trying to keep myself occupied. i find the first week of the tww not too bad but the 2nd week is the killer for me. waiting , waiting. always waiting.
Hey
I had my first ivf cycle cancelled monday ( not enough eggs) i had 2 follies and so they decided not to waist them. I had my trigger shot tuesday morning and we have been dtd everyday since, so here i am hoping and  that we can do it naturally this month. i start crinone gel on saturday night and have bt 27th.
i wish you all loads and loads of luck in the tww and hope and pray that you all get bfp
possums - hope you have a lovely week away. i'm thinking of taking some time off next week as i really think it helps to pass the TWW...
m2c - welcome! good luck on your natural TWW!
tania - it is such a stressful time - don't be too hard on yourself, it is so easy to get emotional given everything we have to go through...
AFM - 8 days till poas, and 10 days till BT. I noticed some slight discolouration in CM today (sorry if TMI!) I'm sure it can't be AF (waaay too early). Hopefully everything's alright in there  I'm determined not to put this down to a possible "symptom" ....!
enjoy your evening girls.   no AF
mels xx
Hi Ladies.. my name's Dee and I've been lurking around BB for over a year now but haven't really settled anywhere since I gave up the 6+ months thread.. I had a Lap done 30th Sept this year and am on a natural cycle before starting Serophene next cycle if this one isn't sucessful... DH and I have been TTC for 22mths and have unexplained fertility (I had some tubal scarring and endo which were removed and tidied up.. sounds a little like gardening to me..lol)... I hope I can join in here as for the first time in a very long time I actually feel like I may have a chance at being PG naturally and i'm already driving myself nuts on the TWW... AF due 22nd.. :noaf: Please..
Good luck everyone and Mels77 - Don't want to say it but... Implantation bleed???? Good timing for it...
Dee
Dee - welcome! and great news that you're feeling positive about this natural cycle. you're in good company here with us TWW'rs :D
I had to LOL about your "implantation bleed" comment. Naturally this was the first thing I also thought of... but I can pretty much find early pregnancy symptoms at any time in my cycle if I try hard enough!! I do hope you're right though ;)
AF is also due for me around the same time as you, so here's hoping for no visit from AF and BFP's for us (and everyone on this thread)!
(Hope I haven't been boring you all with my posts today, I've had a loooooong day at work - and it's still going!)
Mels xx
welcome dee: good luck to you
hi to everyone else. sorry no personals. i am supposed to be working!! having probs with emails to clients. stupid email !!!
another day closer for me. 9 days to preg test
14 days to blood tests.
waiting waiting.
Good morning girls!
Welcome dee and :crossfingers:
Mels - hope that discolouration is nothing. I cant comment as its my first time around so dont know WHAT to expect and whats "normal" I too am looking for signs and am a bit worried as Ive had none
I have a question, I know we have to watch what we eat, not take medications and to be generally careful during our TTW but can I have some advice as to grooming ie - colouring hair? I know it probably sounds weird, but I have been going grey since my early 20's and RELIGIOUSLY colour my hair every 4 weeks to keep them away. I even had my boss point out my grey hair this week and told me Im as grey as his 60 yr old wife. I was really grateful at that comment (NOT) considering Im only 36!
Any advice/suggestions would be great. I have heard conflicting things about it.
Thanks all and  :noaf:
Tania :D
tania - i asked my clinic the exact same question last month - and they said not to colour it. so i didn't. and i looked hideous, but at least it gave me peace of mind that i wasn't doing something that could jeopardise my chances. :D
melsx
Thanks Mels.
I gave my clinic a call at lunchtime to confirm and they told me that I can only use natural or henna hair colour so called my hairdresser and shes onto it!
Lots of :bluedust: and  to all
Tania
Its time for a new thread which you can find here!
