Hey Miss Coral- Yep, we've made it to another milestone in our TTC journey- the TWW forum! Ha ha!
Thanks for thinking of me and the cramping- as I said below it seems to have subsided for now and the nurse put it down to the pessaries. Happy to hear you've taken a few days off- very good idea. I'm at home today with the intention of studying- I've two exams this week and I've done nothing... oh dear.
xx
-
Hi ladies great to hear the excitement in the posts from both Meg76 and Coral73. :happyforyou:
Meg76 I too had those cramps early on and then they just stopped but were replaced by sharp stabbing pains every so often for a few days too...so ifs that's your next stage don't stress too much
Mitf I so hope you go the good news you have been waiting for today.
For the rest of you girls hope you had a great weekend and Monday is treating you kindly
AFM well the countdown is well on truly on 4 sleeps to go. This morning I felt like AF is on the way but I'm trying to stay calm and remain positive. So tempted to POAS and just get it over with but will try to continue holding out till Friday. :2ww:
-
ha ha ha - I'm at home writing an essay too as you can see - on BB again
Any news mitf?
-
LondonMiss I think I'd rather be at home writing an essay than at work watching the clock tick so that i can go home....
-
Coral & Terry - thanks for thinking of me guys. I am very excited to report that is a BFP and I am well and truly UTD
My BHcG reading was 261 which is apparently excellent. It has been a long time coming. I have watched many friends and family members get pregnant over the last couple of years and often though 'when is it going to be my turn'. Well it really is a numbers game and I can't believe that turn has finally come.... DH is very excited, he was going to buy me flowers but was so excited he rushed home, picked a rose from our garden and showered me in kisses. :loveshower:
Thanks to all you lovely ladies for your support over the last week or so. I will be  that we get a few more BFP's and will definately be popping in to see how you are all going.
:stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:

Hi to everyone else, hope we all still hangi'n in there!!!
Atleast we got some happy news to lift the spirits!!
Hey today I'm getting AF cramping, would swear i'd have AF, have checked a hundred times or more:pray: God I hope it isn't! 1 week mark tomorrow, last Pregnyl inj Yay!
Stings like a Biaaatch;)
-
hey MurrayCod - got my first one tomorrow so I'm looking forward to that (not!). I'm going to Sydney for the weekend (whoop whoop) and MIVF have given me a little letter to give to Qantas so they let me take my pregnyl with me in a cool box...
there is no way you have AF cramping with a week to go surely??? (not that I'm talking you into pregnancy symptoms!!)
-
good evening girls!! I'm back in the 2ww. Have just read your news Mitf....whoo hoooooooooooo :leap: that's absolutely flipping fantastic!! great no.s too!
I will catch up with where everyone is tomorrow....internet has been up and down all night with storm.
afm - 1 embie transferred today. we have one looking good for freezing tomorrow, but the other 4 are questionable which is :shakehead: but what can you do..at least I got a transfer. The actual transfer was far better than first two when I experienced a lot of pain during procedure..hate those speculum/catheters! No blood and the doc was v. happy.
We were chatting with the receptionist, scientist and 2 nurses before leaving, and DH suggested that they should all try having the catheter and speculums and just have some saline pumped in!! I agreed, but funnily enough none of them wanted to do it.:D
This whole cycle has been different to first 2...here's hoping it's got a different outcome. good night everyone, sleep well and here's to 'Sleep 1' being out the way...only 9 more to go!!!
-
Airline - I completely agree! There are somethings that aren't meant to levered open. Although it could be worse, do you remember the old metal ones? They were always cold. I always thought they looked like the scoops you got mashed potato in at primary school/ a gulag!
Please permit a short vent - just did my pregnyl. Stupidly did it just after a shower and must have had slightly slippery hands, the top shattered, I've got bits in my thumb and finger, blood everywhere, then couldn't get the second one open because my fingers were still wet this time with blood. Then dropped the sterile wipe on the floor. The fact that it came back covered in dog hair was a slight clue that it might not be so clean anymore (nor obviously are my floors!!) why oh why oh why can't they make pregnyl in a neat little one like Ovidrel where you peel off the top, jab, bobs your uncle? I'm not a flipping chemist! Honestly. I've had to have a cake to calm me down ;)
Anyone else got some good news to report? I'm sleeping like hibernation is pending so I'm taking that as a good sign ..... (oh dear the madness sets in!)
-
mitf - Congratulations on your BFP!!! Very happy for you. Hopefully I will be able to join you soon enough. Great numbers too. Sounds like a strong pregnancy.
Wishes xoxo
-
Hi ladies hope you all slept well
London miss you are so brave giving yourself the needles I get DH to do them.
I had a great sleep last night no AF sysmptoms today so I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that I cant make it to Friday and my BT..the waiting is driving me crazy and so are the nightly pressaries
-
Mitf ~ excellent news hun :leap: All the very best for a H&H 9 months! So :happyforyou: guys!
AFM ~ I havent come in here this TWW. Natural cycle again and AF usually arrives about CD35 but still hasnt and Im up to CD38, Ive had tummy cramps but just no AF, its all driving me mad. I'll have to do a test soon I think.
GL to everyone in here, FX and :bluedust::stickyvibesgirl:

Londonmiss, my FS still uses the METAL ONES...............give you a hint!?!?!?
OUCH....
Oh and the Pregnyl vile....I did the same last month and had to be so careful not to get any glass in the syringe....my thumb bled and bled.
Oh the joys ;)
XXX POAS Loops!!
-
hey murraycod..and londonmiss.....my fs uses the metal ones toooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HORRIBLE:rolleyes:
-
tell your FS that for $5 big ones, you expect to see a nice plastic one for your next visit!!! Lordy me.
-
this is a completely random post...but actually something that I've been meaning to post for ages. Only cos it made me and DH smile when we've discussed it.
You know all these t-shirts with slogans on them that are so popular, well I had a couple of ideas...but they would only make sense to those in the know about IVF.
My girlfriend had a maternity one that said, "It started with a Kiss"
Mine will say, "It started with Downregulation"
or
"Outfit $100
Hair/Nails $70
Bun in Oven $2000 OOP"
In fact I've just googled and found these!
"My parents did IVF
Now all they can afford
Is this lousy shirt"
"Frosty Baby"
gotta make you smile.
just had call from clinic saying although 9 eggs taken, 6 fertilising, 1 transfer and lost all the rest. :crying:
-
Airline - six sounds good to me - but I'm only a junior IUIer rather than an IVFer.. I know you'll want to punch me if I say it only takes one, but....
Love your t-shirt idea. "I owe everything to Puregon" will be one I get if I get UTD
"Desperately seeking Blastocysts" will the name of a book I write if I ever get round to it...
-
Airline Londonmiss is right 6 is a great number to have stored...apart from it only taking one just think you wont have to go through all the injections etc and even if this one isn't successful the natural cycle is so much easier.
I had 20 taken and of those only 7 made it so I was disappointed too the first ET didn't work but this last one I think and pray is doing great..so that leaves 5...just wanted to ask has anyone had any twinges really close to their BT date...it doesn't feel like normal AF sympstoms and it doesn't hurt it's just like a mild pulling every now and then....I feel like I'm going crazy and wishing the days away till Friday:confused:
-
I'm love'n the T-Shirt ideas!
Hey I'm becomming desperate today, and I'm in desperate need of wanting to feel 'Different'.....UTD
1 week benchmark today and all I feel is cramping same as I do when I have AF. They are completely the same...........
I wan't sore boobs, I wan't to feel nauseated, something, other than cramping.
I always get like this at 1week...........and this is what worries me, that it hasn't worked again. My last try B/F IVF.
Sorry having a stress day girls, need to let it out
Any positive stories anyone? Am I meant to feel anything at all only being 1 week??
Perhaps I will think of some T-Shirt slogan ideas to keep my mind from torturing me X
Hope everyone is doing better at this TWWing than I am today XX
Sorry luv's X
-
oops sorry girls....my disappointment meant I didn't write clearly.
I had 9 eggs at EPU, then out of those 6 fertilised. 1 was good enough to transfer, lost the other 5 embryos so no frozen this cycle. I got 2 frozen and 1 transferred during both my first and second stim cycles. This cycle was much, much harder on me than the first 2 with more gonal F .... but worst result.
Londonmiss - liked your slogan, but wondered if Synarel / Puregon are copyrighted?
I wouldn't punch you LM!! not even a cyberpunch!! (we should have a smileyface doing a cyberpunch created!)....but that magic 'one' has been elusive for a few years now, and I've got a whole bleedin' detective team onto him/her!!! :pinksperm::bluesperm:
Murraycod - I don't have any +ve stories, but keep analysing and hoping and praying and yes, think up some t-shirt slogans to help pass the time.
I also like "my first photo" and it's a photo of a blasty :-)
-
I'm losing track so here's my summary of things:
Loops - imminent?
Terry 30th Oct
Airline 5th Nov
MurrayCod 8 days to go - which makes it the 4th I think??
Me 10th Nov (which is four million light years away)
Anyone else care to add into the mixture - don't you find it wierd that there's 20 or so people on any one thread and yet 10000 people have read it or something? I look occaisionally and don't post so who else are they? I'm fascinated.
-
Hi London Miss,
I'm here lurking! My transfer is tomorrow, but still not sure about posting. I took it so hard with my last BFN that I'm searching for self preservation.
I think there are probably lots of people lurking around, just like me ;)
BTW- even though I haven't had transfer yet, my BT is booked for the 10th as well!!
SB
-
LondonMiss, I confess that i'm still lurking to see how everyone is going
To the girls with cramping in the 2WW - I was convinced that AF was about to turn up from one week after the ET. Cramping, cramping and more cramping. Turns out it wasn't AF at all, so am assuming it was implantation cramping. Anyway, I just wanted to say don't let it put you off, you never know what could happen...!
Hope everyone is staying sane, have fingers and toes crossed for more BFPs this month, I think we all well deserve it!!
-
HI Ladies
Some of you know me, some dont.
I had ET today, one little 7cell 3 day embie so I guess that offically puts me in the TWW. So hope you dont mind if I come over here & obsess with you all for a while
-
Starbright best wishes for tomorrow, I hope everything goes well X
Lise thank's for the encouraging words, has made me feel more at ease X
Londonmiss yeup, 8 days to go babes, your not far behind me luv X I lurk in places I don't post in..:hide:
Tracy, welcome to the Mad House! :D
Hey I got a T-shirt for me!!!!
On the front Ill have the word "GLASSEYE"
On the back it'l say "Looks Good, But F@$%*NG Useless!!!!"
Sorry that's bad I know :shakehead:
-
Hi ladies,
Just thought I would pop back in and wish Mitf my congratulations.:happyforyou:
I can't believe how much is going on here at the moment. Good luck to everyone in the TWW. Londonmiss your summary was great.
Tracey-glad to see things went well today.
:stickyvibesboy::stickyvibesgirl:
-
Tracy - I think it's a requirement of the TWW to end up with OCD. I'm certainly getting there. My current obsession *TMI warning* is that I think my wee smells wierd, and there's no way it can given I'm drinking about 155 litres water per day
MC - I'm not feeling anything either, even with the pregnyl. Although I should tell you that when I was actually pregnant for a short time, my husband with a hangover had more classic UTD symptoms that me... so don't worry too much!
Who was it who I was chatting to about knitting as a way of making time pass in the TWW? (brain like sieve). Anyway, I've finished my second scarf!!! Lucky it's for a toddler who won't notice all the holes
Anyway, good night ladies and sweet baby shaped dreams xx
-
I started having 'symtoms' as soon as I had EPU lol. The crinone really throws me about. I have incredibly sore boobs already, very thirsty & the odd bouts of nausea, but as I say I believe its the crinone as it started from EPU.
Oh and also an acute sense of smell lol
-
Morning ladies
It look like you were all busy posting last night. Welcome to the new girls in the 2WW Sorry for not replying to everyone but :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy: to all
LondonMiss I don't think your going crazy I too thought my wee smelt funny during the first week
Star-bright hope all goes well for you today :bluedust::pink-babydust:
lise thanks for your encouraging words about the cramping its just what I need to read given that its now so close
AFM well I've got 2 sleeps to go and so far not a spot in sight :crossfingers: Still feeling little twinges here and there especially when lying down have convinced myself that its my little one telling me its still with me. Was tempted to POAS today but then realised that I had run out so will try to stop myself from buying more today. I pray that I get through tomorrow cause then I think evrything might be ok for the BT on Friday
-
Morning Ladies,
I just wanted to pop back in and thank you all for your kind thoughts and well wishes. It is still sinking in but DH and I are very excited and looking forward to the future.
Terry ? I had a bit of cramping in the last 3 days before my BT. Good luck for Friday.... I hope the cramping is a good sign and we will have cause to celebrate again!
Lise - It is fantastic news. Fell free to PM me if you want to share stories or quiz symptoms etc
I will be lurking and hope to be congratulating you all soon!
:stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:
Mitf xo

Good Morning Ladies,
I've been a little quiet in this thread so far, however, have been lurking and trying to keep up with everyone. I've decided to attempt some personals today and get back into it cause the 2WW is starting to get to me.... If I miss anyone I am sorry in advance and I hope that the 2WW is treating you kindly!
terry - 2 sleeps to go - yay! Not long now.... I am always to scared to POAS although find it just as hard waiting till BT! I think twinges are good sign as didn't mitf have something similar... Good to hear no sign of AF sending you lots of :stickyvibesgirl:!
LondonMiss - I remember reading that thread about the knitting and can't remember for the life of me who it was! Good to see you are doing something to take your mind of the 2WW... I might even join the knitting crew cause I am starting to obsess over everyone twinge and cramp!
Tracy - Congrats on the ET and welcome to the 2WW wait! I am only 4dpET and am going crazy! I hope that time flies for you!
murraycod - I have been lurking :hide: a bit lately myself.... Sending you :stickyvibesgirl:!
Star-bright - Good Luck with the transfer today and sending you lots of :pink-babydust:!
airline - I'm sorry to hear that you had none left to freeze .'ing that this will be your last 2WW due to getting your long awaited BFP so no need for any snowbubs!
Loops - Have you POAS'd yet?'nig that it is a natural BFP for you!
Melttc & Meg76 - How are you both doing? Any signs or symptoms yet? I hope you are both keeping sane, I know I am starting to go a little loco, he, he!
AFM - Well, here is quick summary below of where I'm at and what has been going on so far (2 x 5 day Blasts transferred on Sat, 24 Oct):
0dpET - Transfer went well (embies did not get stuck in catheter and no blood on catheter). No symptoms at all to report. Relaxed all day and watched movies with DH...
1dpET - Started getting twinges (kinda like a quick stabbing pain) in the one spot to the right above my pubic bone (sorry TMI) and was on and off a couple of times throughout the day. Hoping that it was one of my little ones attaching and starting to burry.
2dpET - More of the same twinges in the same spot on and off. :crossfingers:!
3dpET - Uh oh, starting to feel some cramping - no! I started getting cramping 3dpET on both of my last 2 x ET's and they resulted in BFN's. Slight ray of hope though... I can't 100% confirm, but it was like the cramping was occurring just above my pubic bone (sorry TMI again) instead of higher up like AF although sometimes I wasn't so convinced and thought it was like AF.
4dpET (today) - slight cramping again and secretly hoping that it might be implantation cramps although I don't know if it is too early for that! I did read on an Chicago IVF webpage that a day 5 blastie would hatch around day 6-7 and attach to wall within hours of hatching.... dam that google, he, he!
I know it's still early days yet, but I just can't help analysing every twinge and cramp! I'm just hoping that the small differences (twinges in the same place and cramps lower down) are a positive sign!
-
hi ladies, just thought i would poke my head in here and say hi and congrats to the ladies who have recently got BFP. i hope to be joining this thread next cycle as DP and i are planning on giving IUI another try or two before moving onto ivf.early next year will be 5 years we have been ttc
-
Coral - v quick q - your post implies that sometimes the embryo does get stuck in the tube? Is that true? My goodness, think of the disappointment if you'd got that far only to have that happen!
-
LondonMiss - Unfortunately it is true as it happened to me on my 1st ET! FS had to get the scientist to re-load our little embie into another catheter and we were then able to complete the transfer. It was pretty daunting and I secretly think that it may have contributed to our BFN... surely little embies are very delicate and can easily get damaged???
I expressed my concern to FS at the time and he said it does happen (ie. they can get stuck) and that they have had BFP's out of cycles where this has happened... Still not good though in my opinion and made me stress even more!
-
Yikes -that's scary. But your symptoms all sound very promising?
My boobs hurt, and I must keep reminding myself to stop squeezing them in public  and remember that's its pregnyl!!
