Hello. I have no idea what I am doing up at this time either - well, most unusually, the dog was barking so I got up, but there seems nothing wrong with her. Anyway, I used the opp to do a full bladder, long-time-sitting-there POAS and there's a second line... :D it's not really really strong, but it's strong enough that I could show to DH and he wouldn't laugh at me/ wonder what hallucenogens I was on. The target line is a raspberry red, and mine is like a mid/dark rose pink. AF due tomorrow - could it be the pregnyl? (last taken saturday first thing)?
btw - you know this before DH as he's not here...
I hope some of you are out of bed and reading this because there is no way I can go to bed without an opinion!
-
Hi LondomMiss!
OMG! I think that it is very sounding positive - yay! I had exactly the same thing happen... got the ridiculously feint line that I wasn't even sure was a line!
Did you do a test this morning from the same packet.... If it is getting more noticeable than I think that is a good sign! I wouldn't imagine that the line would come up too dark as you are still 5 days away from the BT!
Maybe try and test with a different brand to confirm? That's what we did and we got definite pink lines! Even the nurse agreed that it is what you should do when I told her that we went out and bought 3 different brands and did 7 POAS's, he, he!
OOhhh.... I'm so 'ing that it is a BFP for you!
-
Morning Ladies!
Star~Bright - I think the 2 most noticeable symptoms that made me think... could I be... was the sharp stabbing pain that occurred in the same spot (just above my pubic bone on the right hand side) on days 1 and 2 after the ET. I had never felt that before.... the previous two cycles I didn't have any sensations until day 3 when I started getting cramps. The other noticeable thing was the bright blue veins on my BB's and a little on my chest area.
I must admit though, I had still convinced myself that it was going to be a definite BFN and even cried several times throughout the 2WW!
Tracy - I am so sorry to hear you news and big 's.. Congratulations on the new job though!
LondonMiss - Thanks for the well wishes! I don't know if any of it contributed, however, we had a lot better cycle with 5 good blasts frozen compared to our 1st where we had 1 good blast and one average... and of course the BFP!
Paula - Thank you! Wishing you the Best of Luck :goodluck: for tomorrow's BT and sending you lots and lots of :bluedust:!
Leabie - I am so sorry to hear your news hun  and 'ing that next time will be it for you!
airline - I said it in the other thread... OMG, OMG, OMG!'ing that you get good beta numbers! Good Luck with the BT today and even more Luck for the results tomorrow!!!
Terry - Thank you for the well wishes! I'm so sorry to hear your news . Good to see you are gearing up for another 2WW... Praying that this will be the one!
Meg76 - Try not to feel down (I know it is easier said than done!) as I had pretty much convinced myself that it wasn't going to be my month either and then the BFP! It's a good sign that nasty AF hasn't arrived yet... so sending you lots and lots of :bluedust: for tomorrow's BT!
AFM - Still trying to take it all in.... I haven't got any really noticeable pregnancy symptoms yet (no cramps, nausea, dizziness or tiredness) which is scaring me just a bit as I just don't feel 'pregnant.' I'm a little apprehensive for tomorrow's beta result...... just want the confirmation that the numbers are rising so I can relax a little! Still really happy though.... just think I am being a little bit on the cautious side....
-
Just a quick one. Went to our tedious preparatory meeting at MIVF this morning of the IVF process for next month (we're away in a couple of weeks) hence the rather strange timing.
As I was passing, I whipped in to see the doc and showed him my POAS  and he was v excited (once I'd told him about the negative/ feint one proving the pregnyl was out my system) and he told me not to bother to wait until Tues for a blood test but to go and do one now... so I did. And now I'm waiting for the results which I should get this afternoon. And I feel so sick, as I have done since 5am. This is probably nerves though.
-
LondonMiss - OMG, OMG, OMG :o!!!! That is fantastic - yay!!!
So 'ing that it comes back as a BFP for you! Much better doing the test today rather than next Tuesday - yay!!!
-
wow LM that's great news!! I've also called my clinic after being at my bt at 7.40 am! I was told the results would be there after lunch in the arvo...so we're just awaiting...nervously.
I'm feeling my usual premenstrual bloaty, and still have some stirrings, which worries me. I told DH like last time..I feel it could go either way. here's a question...
I remember having a scan and the nurses were laughing cos my bowel was getting in the way...or some of it (ie I was gonna need a no. 2 at some point!) so any 'stirrings' down there..could that be bowel processing??
who is it here who's got the nurse's hat?? Tracy?
Good luck LM...here's hoping it's our time:pray::pray::pray::pray:
-
oh how exciting! I've just turned the house upside down looking for the emergency english phone charger and the converter plug - it seems DH has taken the two aus ones with him (why???) so that the clinic don't call and I miss it.
let me know as soon as you know!
-
How exciting LondonMiss.. Cant wait to hear your great news!!!
BT tomorrow. Not feeling anything special. A few nudges here and there. Did a HPT yesterday morning and it was BFN so its had me feeling a little down since then. I tell you, those things are EVIL!!!
-
LondonMiss & airline good luck I so hope you both get a positive result...thinking of you both and how the wait must be making you feel I    for a happy ending
-
I keep missing them when they call - like I'm ringing them when they are ringing me etc. Her message is in a very nursey 'bad news comforting lilt' kind of tone
AARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HH
-
Ohhh nooooo LondonMiss! How annoying!
I am sitting here waiting waiting waiting to hear some good news. What about airline? Any news yet??????
-
Oh and if there is one thing that gets me everytime is when they call and you can tell in their voice its bad news :shakehead:
-
Hi ladies! This is my first official TWW, despite being TTC for over 3 years now.
So, I'm positive I ovulated yesterday. Pulling sensation on my right side, headache, sore boobs, lots of friendly CM. I won't go into specifics but suffice to say, DH enjoyed my phone call on the way home, and we had a fun night ;) At least until the part where I hadta lay on the bed for 1/2 hour, afraid to move and lose any 'good stuff'
I woke up feeling nauseous this morning, and had to remind myself that I was probably just a little sick, wouldn't be having pregnancy symptoms yet! I don't know how I'm gonna survive this TWW, I've got such a good feeling about this cycle :leap:
Plus, Facebook said I would fall pregnant in December 09, so it MUST be true!
Look forward to getting to know you ladies, and hope we have an unprecendented run of BFP's on BB this month :)
-
Obviously I am a very poor judge of character....
it's a BFPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP:o
She says it's hard to interpret the figs as they normally like you to be over 100 on 16dpIUI, and I'm only 13 dpIUI and I'm 86 so she's pretty happy with that ..... but I need to go in on Saturday and have another just to make sure it's going up
Rang DH who was busy telling me about washing machines in India - fascinating! - and I struggled to get a word in edge ways to tell him...!!!! He says I'm not allowed to tell anyone until i've had the test and then "not everyone like last time" but I figure a few people on the internet don't count:lol:
I've just had a kiss and a cuddle with the dog, as a proxy. OMG I'm buzzing
I'm really really hoping that I'm not the first this weekend. Love and luck to everyone testing soon :goodluck:
-
You do count, of course - I don't mean that in a rude way... YKWIM!!!!
-

OMG....................GIRLS ..... IT'S A :bfp::bfp::bfp:
taken a while for it to sink in ... and DH and I went for a walk.
so, hcg was 86...they said they're happy with anything over 80, but I'm gonna get my GP to do another test on Saturday to reassure myself the no.s are roughly doubling. My progesterone is at 240 which is high like last time...first trimester they say between 30 and 100, so my bodies doing everything to protect this wee splodge.

terry...wow FET next week...fx crossed you continue the good luck that's floating about ...sticky thoughts coming your way. x
-
Hello all. I cannot thank you enough for all the kind comments and messages - it really would have been an impossible journey without BB. Coral was kind enough to write out what she did differently this month and I'll try to add my twopennethworth into the mixture... hope it helps
1. Relaxing
Yeah yeah yeah, if one more person tells you to "relax and it will happen", you will blow their head off with a kalashnikov.. no, I meant more like regular massages. I did not and will not stop drinking my four units of red wine a week. The evidence for alcohol I think now is much weaker than the evidence for giving up caffeine which I did for the whole TWW and had decaf tea. I had no chocolate either. I tried to swim every other day.
2. Vitamins
I'm a strict vegetarian but even we can do with more veg, fruit and vitamins! So I did more of this. I was also careful to eat better protein and ate seeded bread (Burgen soylin) as I'm not a big nut eater. I had flaxseed oil from my nutritionist on my food.
3. Faith/ Positive thinking
I don't know why but I thought this was my month from the start. (if you are of sceptical persuasion, skip onto the next post now). I have worn the same crucifix since the IUI until the BT this time, and did the other successful time. Prayed more. Wore my lucky knickers. Listened to the same music on my IPOD that we had at the wedding whilst the IUI being done. I've spent a lot of time rubbing and talking to my belly too. (and keeping my temperature down)
Airline - :leap::leap::leap: I'm so pleased for you - congratulations. I'm just over moon.
Only wish DH were here, and the dog had not developed a naughty streak...
Me xxx

WOO HOO LondonMiss!!!! :leap:

What a great day!!!
Airline and LondonMiss...  :leap::happyforyou: ... that's BRILLIANT news! Congratulations ladies, and best of luck for great numbers on Saturday. Hope you have happy and healthy pregnancies!
Starbright and Paula - good luck for your BTs in the coming days, and anyone else who's BT is coming up!
AFM - I'm officially out of the running, after a very (uncharacteristically) slow start, AF has struck with a vengeance... she's such a cow! Booking on tomorrow for a hopefully successful IUI cycle, inspired by you lovely ladies! DH is back for a week starting Sunday, so I'll be dragging him up to the clinic ASAP to put some soldiers in the deep freeze to avoid another cancelled cycle.
Good luck to all of you in the 2WW, sending lots of  and :goodluck: Look forward to seeing (fewer of) you all in my next 2WW! Will lurk and watch the BFPs rack up in the meantime...
Cheers,
Lea.

Leabie so sorry the witch arrived. Best of luck with your next IUI cycle :crossfingers:
-
Huge congrats to Londonmiss and airline.i hope you have a wonderful pregnancy and delivery.
Good luck to all those due to test in next few days.
AFM- im in natural tww at the moment.if cycle is back to normal af should be here late next week.i fully expect her to show up though. last cycle af was three weeks late, it nearly drove me insane.i was sure i was utd with her being so late.i have been sick a couple mornings this week but suspect its just from stress about other stuff going on at present. on the iui front i rang late last week to try and make an appointment with FS and the first appointment they could fit us in for is dec 2nd :( i had originally hoped to do at least one iui cycle before the end of the year if not even maybe being part way into a second cycle but since i should ovulate around time of our appointment we probably wont get to do the iui til january now.it would have been so nice to get a bfp christmas miracle. I have been invited to sister in laws baby shower on dec 5th so depending how appointment goes i may not be in a party mood. I've been getting stuck into the christmas shopping the last few day-got all except two presents for my girls (though those two are on layby lol-a wii and those new interactive my little pony unicorns) but the mountain of small pressies are her-last fortnight we got them gorgeous silver special daughter pendants-Dp bought them and said well they are my daughters too, even if i am their stepdad).my favourite things i got them was mp3 players (and earplugs for myself :p) and got them camera phones.the phones were $29 bucks and came with ten bucks credit...bargain lol.both have health problems so i thought at that price it would be a good idea for them to have phones for emergencies.
Also got part of DP's present plus 5 of the 8 nieces and nephews presents on layby.so its only really the rest of dp's pres plus the parents and get the laybys off.going to start wrapping presents over next few weeks rather than leave it til last minute and be buried alive under it all.
I hope everyone has a great weekend. we are going to youngest nieces name giving tomorrow morning then to gold coast for gridiron in the afternoon (dp coaches)

Good Morning Everybody,
Firstly, my most heartfelt congratulations to Airline and LondonMiss. You both deserve this so much and I hope all is smooth from here for you both. Thank you for being so supportive and welcoming to BB and I hope you will both stay in touch from time to time.
Paula- Thinking of you today and hope you continue this great run of BFPs!
AFM- I'm out. Did the FS-sanctioned HPT yesterday which was negative and was followed by AF so no need for a BT. To say I'm devastated is an understatement. Although I'd had my doubts for a few days, the reality of a failed cycle has really knocked me around. My beautiful DH stayed home from work yesterday to be with me and is disappointed as well but I guess it's different when you're the one whose body was responsible for protecting that precious little life.
I have been holding on to the hope that should this cycle fail then I would move straight into a FET cycle. It has been a long road to get to this point and I felt so good while I was in the process because I was proactively involved in getting pregnant. When I rang my clinic with the news yesterday and told the nurse I wanted to move into a frozen cycle immediately she said that the FS likes his patients to have a month off after a stim cycle (which I suppose is fair enough) but here is the kick in the guts- doing the maths, it looks like I will miss out on transfer this year with the last transfer date being Dec 18 so we will be looking at January. I really, really really do not want to be waiting until January to go again. I have an appointment with FS on Wednesday so I will see what we can do then.
So it looks like that's it for me for a little while. Good luck to everyone. xx
-
Meg76 so sorry to hear that you are out and feeling really down. I totally understand as that's how I was feeling last week and DH and I went through a similar rollcoaster as we thought it was our month too. I know you don't want to hear this but I think its wise to take a month off after a stim cycle as your body is still recovering from all its been through. If you do have to take time off then look at it as an oppotunity to prepare your body and yourself for the next FET
Paula fingers crossed for you today
Electra welcome to the 2WW wish I was in Greece right now
For all the rest of the girls hope you have a great weekend
-
Well ladies im out too.
Meg i know exactly how you are feeling right now x8. Somehow it just doesnt get any easier. I still bawl my eyes out when i get the call and ring DH. We go through this two week wait doing everything carefully "just in case" to be kicked in the guts like this at the end of it. Giving up is not an option for me so i will keep going but i cant help but think how much more of this can i take. Im so tired of living the last two week or so of every cycle being cautious with everything i do and putting my life on hold.
Sorry about the vent, just needed to let it out. Will be starting a stimulated cycle as soon as AF arrives which should be in a couple of days now that i will stop the drugs.
Best of luck to everyone else :crossfingers:
-
I'm so sorry Paula :grouphug:
Sending you lots of big cyber hugs.
Janie xxx
-
So sorry Paula hope that DH is treating you well and you take some time out this weekend to do somthing nice for yourself.:grouphug:
-
Paula- I am so, so sorry to hear about your result. I simply cannot imagine going through this eight times. Your resilience is really admirable. Surely, your time has to be coming soon. What does your FS say about it? My thoughts and sympathy are with you. xxx
Terry- thank you for your thoughts and of course you are right. It's just that it has been a really long journey to even get this far and I hate the thought of effectively sitting on my hands for two months.
How are you feeling this week?
-
electra & tubabe- Welcome!!
Meg76 , Paula, Terry- I'm totally with you girls. I'm really struggling at the moment too. I did another POAS this morning with a BFN. AF was due today, but hasn't arrived yet & BT is due tomorrow. I don't know how I will find the strength to keep going with all this. It is totally exhausting.:hug::hug: to you all.
