LTTTC Two Week Wait - Sept to Oct

Hi girls,

Good luck to everyone here still waiting! I've left it until the last minute to come in here this month. My ds has been really sick and I think I've been in a bit of denial! I have my bt this am to see if this cycle worked. :pray:

I have no sore boobs, no sick feeling in my tummy, nothing really. The only thing I don't have that I usually have at this point in a cycle is cramping. Maybe a silent af is going to make an appearance???

I can't even go hang out at a friends place to make the time pass quickly today coz ds has a viral infection and is infectious! :wall: Looks like I'll be getting to know you all a whole lot better by the time my phone rings! :p

Will read up on everyone a bit later, morning duties are calling... :D

As they say... no news is good news so I hope AF is well and truly gone for the next 9months for you :pray:

Krikkit - tell me abtu the mind running 10 miles an hour - mine does anyhow and I think it is going overtime at the moment. A breakthrough tho - last night was the first nite I slept right thru no need to get up to pee - but I woke up with such a headache all the same - can't win!! Still got tender boobs and they are massive (crazy, out of control, god give me strength if this is a sign of what it would be like when our little miracle does happen!!!). Also felt like a I had very mild cramping when I woke this morning kind of like an AF knocking on the door feeling :-( But hey that could be anything?

We too only have 2 snowbubs in waiting so I am really hoping this one takes as I know the issues with defrosting and no guarantees.

Mitf - I had acu before my EPU - just to try it out as so many of you all rave about it (and I had never had it before in my life). I found it really relaxing and all good. He gave me herbs too and I clarified that it would be fine with my medication. He (being chinese, english 2nd language and all was a bit vague) but kind of laughed and said of course all OK - all natural! However I have not taken them. I think if this emby doesn't stick and we have to go round again, I will get into the acu more heavily and speak to FS about the herbs/TCM and effects of acu. I think for comfort if your chinese dr said OK and if you have checked with FS and you are comfy then go for it. I think anything we can all do to try and make the body all harmoniess (sp?? - is that even a word?!?!) and correct must be a good thing!

wouldluvvabub - well i was not going to tell anyone (cos I think it is meaningless) but my impatience did get the better of me and I did POAS on Sunday morning. However I had 2 tests (been in the cupboard for a while) and 1 was just out of date and the other I think was about to go out of date. So I used the oldest one and was skeptical about it anyhow. Got a negative, but it really didn't make me feel any different as it was what i was expecting but also still thinking that even if there is a pg happening that it would not show up yet.

I really am confused by all the timing and when things should show up and when should AF come back etc. Given its my first round and I have hardly seen my FS to learn lots - its only the nurse's that I see (and they have been really good I must admit). I could call and ask, she always says if you have any ?'s just call. But I don't want to appear too paranoid so am thinking I will just wait until BT on Thursday and ask her some ?'s then.

Mitf: I was told by my FS no chinese herbs as the side effects/interaction with IVF drugs is still relatively unknown and better to be safe than sorry. Don't have any advices from the other side as I stopped acu & TCM before starting IVF, can't afford both!!!

Krikkit: GL if you decide to POAS. If not, GL with your BT :crossfingers: for you either way.

Nix & Krikkit: You are both describing how I am feeling. It's reassuring to know that what I'm going through isn't unusual.

Nix: Not long now to your BT. :goodluck: I've been thinking the same thing as I had EPU on day 15 of my cycle and today would be day 28 which means that on a natural cycle I'd be 1 day late. Don't know how the drugs and everything affect it all though. I haven't been game to ask our nurse as I keep asking her heaps of questions and I don't want to make a nuisance of myself.

Hi to anyone I've missed.

AFM: Feeling quite :( My bb's aren't as sore anymore. Been feeling a little queazy on and off, but other than that don't really have any "symptoms". I'm still a bit bloated and sore from being slightly hyperstimulated. Our nurse said it would be right for me to take panadiene or panadol, but I don't want to risk it either and have just been putting up with it. On top of this DH has started coming down with a horrid cold. I really hope I don't get it. That's the last thing I need at the moment. I can't wait until Friday to know what is going on. Every time I go to the loo (which is lots due to me still having to drink lots of water to try and get the bloating under control) I imagine that I am going to be met with bleeding...... The crinone gel/cream is making me "leak" a bit (sorry if :tmi:) and the feeling I have is the one I get just before AF starts when I start spotting. Our nurse said that this can be a good sign, but I'm not all that convinced.

Sorry for the downer post, just not feeling very confident right now.

CasI80 - Hang in there, 3 more sleeps and you'll know!!! Waiting sucks, do you have a project you can do to focus on until then? What about organising your Christmas shopping lists???

Nix76 - I would just call them, they prob get a whole bunch of calls asking different questions ever day. At least then your mind would be at ease and it's one less thing to think about!

Krikkit - if you can help it, don't POAS! A friend of mine did this, got a positive result, then the phone call came that afternoon and it was negative. She was totally devistated. Try hold out if you can... or do a deal with yourself... you can only POAS after you eat 500g of brussle sprouts! :rofl:

mitf - don't know about the herbs, I've been doing acu this cycle, and plan to ramp it up to include herbs next one if this doesn't work. Maybe give the fs a call?

AFM - still no real cramping, I kind of feel a little 'tender' in the ovary region but who knows... it's prob coz I'm thinking about it. On the up side, being housebound has its benifits! My dishes are done (incl washed and put away), I've folded all dry washing, have hung 1 load out and the last load just finished. Going to hang that out then get stuck into the vacuuming.... if nothing else comes from today, I'll have a clean house! :lol:

Nix :AF's arrival all depends on how well your body reacts to the LP support, and of course if we get the magic three letter word, what date was your EPU ? EPU day is counted as ovulation day in a cycle ... Count the day after EPU as 1 day post O - so then you have an idea. I wouldn't take the date you started stims or the ocp, to know where you are in your cycle .

I'm currently in the TWW of a back-to-back FET. If this doesn't work, I'll go for the third too, as it's our lonely little frostie, the last one left. I'm on Oestrogen and Progesterone support as well because I don't ovulate, so I think the only issue with b2b stims is due to all the other drugs you have to take, they want those to clear the system before you have another round.

Good luck to all those waiting, hope your phonecall is a good one Sharon. I knew from the msg my clinic left last time that it was a no-go. I said to the nurse when I rang back "it's either negative or you're the best poker player in the world!"

WLAB - sorry about the lack of frosties. We had that with our first round too. Not sure where you're located, but have you looked for the IVM thread on here? In Vitro Maturation - they grow the immature eggs in the testtube before adding the sperm or ICSI. Apparently they have the same pregnancy rate as IVF, I think the clinic was West Australia Fertility Specialits or something? Was in Perth at any rate. Still beats going OS for more options!

AFM: BT on 18th Sept, but feeling "heavy" today, so not sure. No implantation cramps yet? Transfer was Sept 3, then I went to the rally in Canberra by plane, so hoping that didn't do any damage! Was a great day (despite the rain) and my first political rally!

Nix76 - I love not getting up to pee.. although I am holding and busting by the time I get up!

CassI80 - :hug: hope your feeling ok - I know about the "leaking" its the same with the pessaries - the things we do.

AFM - doing ok, called my clinic about the pessaries giving me the runs and cramping - it feels like I am about to get AF - she didnt say much apart from DONT STOP taking them and I am probably very sensitive to the medication. yay.

Meo - you and I are very similar, I have been ttc from July 06, first m/c Dec 06, and on our 4th cycle's with our transfer's two days apart, my BT is is the 17th Sept - fc this is our last .

Krickit - your poor thing, how many days post transfer are you ?

wouldloveabubba - I am 9DP3DT my BT is on Monday 14th. Really annoying cause I hate receiving good or bad news at work.

This happened last month as well and I called them at 4:55pm and got a speil on how the lab must be busy and if they don't have the results that day they'll call me in the morning!!!!!

Hi girls finally poking my head in here.
I had a 3dt on 4sept, BT 15 Sept. I was a little scared off my the last thread as it was so long, now its shorter its not as scary lol and I think Im coming out of denial about the 2WW.

Feeling ok, tired and the odd dizzy spell & odd squeemish feeling in my tummy probally totally unrelated. Oh and sore bb's but that started with the Crinone gel, before embie was even in there lol

Got my first bill today too, so that makes it a bit more of a reality.
