LTTTC Two Week Wait Thread #2

Hi Princess Fi, and everyone else...

So, i thought i'd tell you something that i read last night. I am slightly embarrassed to say that i have done all this AC and I am 30 years old..and i didn't know this. I feel silly. It's my body - and i didn't even know. So, i thought if it was news to me it might be an interesting read for some others.

Many people think that the uterus looks like it does in most diagrams, with a cave-like interior in which transferred embryos can rattle around and even fall out! In reality, the endometrial cavity is a potential space. In fact, the front and back walls of the uterus are in contact like two slices of bread with jam in the middle; the embryo is like a raspberry seed wedged in between. No matter what you do, it won’t fall out!

I won't take any drugs though, just in case...i would spend the next 9 months feeling bad about it.

Sorry you are feeling yuk - you can take panadol but that is it -i even don't want to take that for some reason - im still crampy and have been for 2days after transfer not all the time mainly in the evening but this could be many things so now i don't read anything into anything anymore and just hope for the best. My bt is next wed am so hope no AF sun, mon or tue then i will get excited. Not long now for either of us. :goodluck: and a sprinkle of :bluedust:

Fiona - Congrats on the TWW! Yes, I have read its the 2 week wait from hell! Keep busy to pass the time, its the only way.

Mandy - All the best for your FET on 23rd. Hope it all goes smoothly for you. How many you are you having?

Kotare - Damn winter and the lurgy! Bring on week 2! Hope it flies for you! I have 10 days & counting.

Lissie - You have less than a week, so lucky!!!

Me - Cold and tired. Have been eating myself through my TWW. I bought brandy snap cookies with cream from the cookie man & gorged myself. I have one more bag left and Im hiding it from DH until I can get back to the shop tomorrow. I just think the eating is boredom. My TWW is going to drag on & on.

All - I never knew the uterus was like a "jam" sandwich either eewwww. There goes my luv of devonshire tea hehehehehe!

PS. I am undecided what to do with my BT that are booked for the 23rd. I wanted to change the appointment to 20th to save myself 3 days of anxiety but I am a godmother on the 22nd again. My dilemma is, if I change my appointment to the 20th and I find out its a BFN I am going to be messed up at the Christening. If, its a BFP, then I'll be ok.

What do you guys think? Should I change my appointment or not? Was it made for this day for a reason? I dont know. I have no clear head today.

What would you guys do?

I would ask your nurses if they think they can get a good result if you had your BT early. If they say that they think it needs the extra 3 days to let your levels build up - well, then your decision is made for you! If they say an early BT is fine, then you can decide then. One thing is, if you do a BT on Friday, and they ring you and tell you that you have some HCG but low levels (i.e. they need to test again) then you might feel Blurgh at the christening anyway.

Can't help sorry, but you might find they won't do it early, and therefore it's a moot point.

Hi Lissie, I hope you can keep AF away for a lot longer than the next 4 days !

We have decided to go away for a couple of nights next week - good news or bad. We need to spend a bit of time together.

Jo - You're right. Its better if I dont make the decision & its made for me. I will call them tomorrow. Thanks for your opinion. Its great that you are going away, you get to the point you need to remove yourself from the situation & get back to basics.

We have a farm up the coast & DH just left to go there with his mate to check the cows etc. We needed that. I need to miss him & he needs a break from my snappy mouth. Oh the progesterone! He just called & said he misses me already - sweet but I dont know what he's missing cos I have been grumpy! Im going to kick back all weekend with the girls. Looking forward to it. A night of sleeping like a starfish, yeah!

DH is a shift worker 7on7off. So we are always away from each other. We are either all on or all off. I get to starfish a lot! I just don't want to have to share him with anyone or anything next week. Feeling selfish (and a bit needy) Sad aye :redface:

It's so hard waiting isn't it, hope you get a BFP on the 23rd, hang in there.
I've got three frozen embryos left, I'm going to have two transferred this time, hopefully at least one of them will stick.

I just popped in to see how you all were going. Vanessa Im soo sooo sorry here the BFN . I do know how you feel you go from sad, feel a bit sorry for yourself, angry thinking of violent thought towards to innocent pregnant people and then finally acceptance and hope once again.... Its a viscious cycle but one day we will all have to break it and look forward to the cycle of dirty nappies, crying babies and we will absolutely love it...

Try Ferr. Phos., as a homeopathic tissue/cell salt. It is great and harmless for even babies, and great to help with the symptoms of a cold. I use a brand called New Era and not sure if you can get it there in disolvable tablet form but ferr. phos is number 4 in the range of twelve. Give it a go. It is especially helpful for when you feel something coming on, you can stop it from getting it's claws in. Iron Phosphate in this form is a biochemic remedy for blood oxygenation, chills, fevers, inflamation, congestion, coughs and colds. Ha, now that was a mouthful eh? Hope you are feeling better soon.

i haven't posted in a while- since my FET was cancelled cos my embies did not survive the thaw :-( but i am currently in the 2ww for a fresh cycle and the wait is doing my head in!
I am searching the site for the holy grail answer about whether to HPT or not! LOL!
I am 7dp5dt but with a hCG shot on that same day for luteal support- so testing is probably a bad idea.... but sooooo tempting! aaarrrrgggghhhhh!!!!!!

I was told that if you are on a stimulated cycle and if so you would have had a couple of booster shots of hcg there is no point in doing a hpt as it will show up positive even if yyou are not - basically it would be a waste of money and you would get your hopes up - but if on a FET cycle go ahead. Anyway that is what my clinic told me but if unsure why not ring your nursce and ask.

hi girls. been in bed since weds night with a shocking virus. this is the first day i have had strength to get out of bed to turn on puter. DH has been a charm, shopping and cooking and taking care of kids. BT on friday... hope this flu didnt affect my chance of embie sticking. that is really my biggest fear!

how you holding up TL? stick with your original bT. when i got my first BFN i didnt talk to anyone for a week. just enjoy your weekend and have all the anxiety for monday. im so so so hoping its a +ve for you!

Good luck to you all. Ger my Bt results back tommorrow for progesterone levels, fingers crossed it's good. Just got over the flu, hope that hasn't affected anything. I see here that a lot of people are sick with the flu at the moment, just keep drinking hot lemon and honey drinks (natural of course). I week to go until testing....

Sonya - Im waiting for the 23rd to ensure my levels are up there! Im dearly hoping they are. You are now in the 1WW. This week will fly for you. I know the anxiety of having the flu after FET. We go thru so much for these little ones, we are maternally trying to protect them from the beginning! You'll be ok. Embie is probably taking all your nutrients & that is why you have been exposed to the flu. Im looking forward to celebrating your positive news with you on Friday. Take Care.

Me - Just waiting for 23rd. I feel great. Wish I was feeling preg or sick or something. I even feel as though the progesterone isnt working. I am eating so much though, I think its boredom. Waiting, waiting waiting.

Sorry you have not been well Sonya. I have a bit of a cold - but nowhere near as bad as you. My DH is away at work - so i had no-one to be nice to me :( I hope you are better now. I worried about the coughing and sneezing and incessant nose-blowing.
So, my BT is on Friday too now. I have not POAS yet. DH really wants me too - but i'd rather do it with him here.

I feel nothing either TL. Last cycle the Crinone made me a lunatic, but this time nothing at all. Weird.

Hi Lissie - yeh i swapped the BT (posted the story in the other thread). I'm a sucker for punishment aye...that extra 24 hours will take as long as the whole 2 weeks before.

i did a HPT this morning when my brain was saying 'dont do it!' but my curiosity won... of course a BFN! NOT what i wanted to see so now instead of curiosity i have a MASSIVE seed called 'doubt' growing inside me...

oh well, try to hold out till friday now, but i still have two more HPT's in the cupboard...

Still early days yet, i think you've tested too early , don't get them out again till friday and then try again - :goodluck:

thanks Lissie. i knew as i was doing the POAS that i was only going to be disappointed. might give the tests to my bestie. she wont give them back till friday then.... if i am brave enough to part with them........

Sonya... you are naughty! It's way too early, especially for a blastie! Don't give up on little emby yet!!

Now, no-one is as stong as Lissie - I can't believe you can manage not to test at all - that's real strengh of character.

Yeh, but in all honesty there is only one reason i haven't POAS yet and that's cos DH was away working and i didn't want to get a result (good or bad) without him.
So, don't tell Lissie, but i might just sneak one or two tests in for while i'm away :redface::redface:

Lock up your pregnancy tests until you need them, I'm guilty of just using them for the fun of it, when I know it's not time yet. The ones that tell you that you can test 5 days before an expected period, there just after your money.....they pray on people like us who are impatient and really want to be pregnant. So as I write this I am 4 days out till testing and I havn't used one yet......gotta stay strong.....

Oh, I got a decent result for my progesterone levels, which means I ovulated YAY!!!

I am desperate to POAS, and I am only 1/2 way through this 2WW. DH has declared no HPT's at all, blood test only.

I think I might sneak one in when he is not looking in about 4 days time... there's no way he will notice!!!

ALL - You guys are so funny! To test or not to test, that is the question? Here we have sneaky testers, avid testers and non-testers. Im a non tester. I wish I was on a natural cycle, I guess I would be an avid tester!

Sonya - How are you going? Not long to go now. Counting hours? You feeling ok now?

Mum2Jaden - Congrats on your ovulation! Yipppeee.

Princess - Yep Im half way through too & growing very, very impatient.

Me - Nurses rang yesterday to confirm my BT for Monday. I asked them to change it to Friday & they said no, as I could get a "fake" result. I stop the Crinone Friday thank goodness. Yesterday, had a weepy day (1st one) and have headaches. Im drinking dams of water to no avail. I've not taken anything & wont. My tummy is bloated, I cant drink anything cos it tastes funny. Had a bleeding nose on Monday (which is a good sign apparently). I feel yucky & so tired. Went to besties yesterday to help her make dancing costumes & fell asleep on her lounge for 2 hours. I was no help!! I ate & slept. Im checking every day for AF out of habit and its driving me insane. I have 4 days & 19 hours to wait before BT. I hope to sleep till then.

DH wanted me to do a HPT today but i said no, the result wont be any different.

so another 50 hours and i will have my BT results. im so scared i will cry down the phone if its a negative. but AF due tomorrow and i feel like she is on her way.

had a smear of pinky mucus yesterday, dont know what that means. but im sure im cramping. but then it could just be the stress and anxiety!

Just got the call - unfortunately negative - big fat negative - HCG only 5 so no way am i pregnant this time round - but will try again on 5th November - goodluck to everyone else - feeling pretty bummed and sad right now. Will talk later.
Just wanted to say thanks for all your good wishes over the past 13days and i truly wish you all the best of luck on your TWW.

yeah probably wont hit me until i ring for bt results and get the definate BFN. my BT has been put forward to tomorrow now coz of bleeding. clinic says that way they can chat to FS earlier about options.

I cant help but bawl my eyes out for you both. AF is the biggest B*&ch it the whole world. I really dont know what to say. The pain is too great. I expect to get the same result Monday. I was due for AF to come yesterday and me too, feel like cr@p and crampy. I feel sick that this has happened to you guys and ALL my heart goes to you both at this time.
