Hey topcat. I too had day two transfer and they were both at 4 cells. They like to do a day two transfer because days three is normally the make or break stage i think and its normally very hard for them to make it past then. I had my transfer saturday before you. I think implant is between days 4 to 6 my clinic told me. Good luck with it all. There is another thread just under this one that says Blast Vs day 2 transfer. Have a read of it its very interesting

Hi Mumof5, im sorry that your dinner wasnt so good last night. Robs sister sounds very insensitive, i think some people just dont get IVF or infertility and well, they dont want to. Its bad enough to just blurt out at dinner that she is pregnant, but then to go on and ask you how preg would you be if you were.... whats with that?? I hope you dont have to see her to often! Try not let her get to you, she doesnt sound like a very nice person, at least, she sounds insensitive and you dont need people like that around you right now, you have more important things to be thinking about!!!
Hi topcat, i know about the driving you crazy thing with goggling stuff!! Does your head in sometimes doesnt it??!!! DH thinks im mad!! I hope that your 2ww goes really fast, sending you lots of :stickyvibesboy:
Scooby, not long to go now, fingers crossed!!
Hi Shelly, dont worry too much about the HPT yet. They dont always pick up a positive anyway- i have heard so many stories about them. I really hope things turn out well.
Nat how are things going today?? How are you Lucia???
Hi to BG and anyone else here in the 2ww.
Mel
-
Hey Mel congrats once again. Im guessing she was asking just to see if i would bet her or not. Dumb mole
-
Hi Everyone
Mumof5 - It must of been so horrible to sit there and hear about your sister in laws pregnancy. How insensitive of her as she knows what your are going through. That really annoyes me. I am currently going through the same thing with my sister in law who I don't really like. She has just announced to everyone today that she is 3 months pregnant. We knew before hand so we have had to put up with her talking about it all the time and even trying to give us advice. We haven't told family about IVF as I can't be bothered with their opinon's as you just don't need it as its hard enough.
Scooby - Good luck for your blood test, not long now. My spotting turned out to be my AF, so starting synarel on day 21 ready for ICSI.
Hi Topcat - Good luck with your BT. I was a freek with google also hehe! Looked every possible sign word I knew.
Hi Happymel - me had a little cry today as got my BT and as I mentioned above sister in law announcing her pregnancy. I knew that we would fall this time, don't mean to sound negative but I just had this feeling as we transferred a Day 6 Blast and it was only a Grade 2. So this time we have decided to do ICSI as last time we had 14 eggs and only 1 Blast as we chose IVF. I was a little scared of ICSI and I don't know why. I was a and still a little of ICSI and I don't why. How are you feeling??? You must be over the moon!! So when can you find out if there is more than one?
Can anyone give me some advice on ICSI??
-
Im sorry things didnt work this time Nat. It really sucks. Isnt it hard when people around you are constantly talking about preg?? At my work, a couple girls were well into preg when i m/c. One in particular was so insensitive, im like WT??? I dont understand how some people just dont get it. Its prob just as well she doesnt know you guys are doing IVF, she'd prob ask more questions then!!! Just try keep positive and dont let her upset you too much, you will be there soon :)
ICSI- we never really had the choice. DH has poor sperm quality- all of it, so its like that or nothing. Im not sure, does your DH have any sperm problems??? I know that 14 eggs leading to 1 blast doesnt sound great, but giving ICSI a chance may change this, it may not. First cycle we had 11 eggs and 2 blasts, second cycle 12 eggs and 3 blasts which is great (all ICSI). They say a good result will end in one good blast to t/f and then hopefully one to freeze, or more if you are really really lucky. It depends a lot on egg quality and fertilisation. Lots of women on here get many many eggs (usually the girls who have PCOS), but its quality that you want and the fertilisation rate for you guys might be better with ICSI. Dont be scared of it, they do it all the time!! And if there is a problem with the egg or if its damaged or whatever, then the embryo just wont grow. I think its really worth giving ICSI a go, it prob wont be any less than last cycle, and cross fingers, you may get some great embies. I really hope so!!! If you have lots of questions too, on the egg collection day, its good to talk to the scientists, they really can contribute a lot.
When do i find out if its 2- well, the first u/s which is on the 18th. Im just hoping to see a heartbeat. We will both be happy then!
I hoped i helped a little :)

Hey Mel, I just had a thought. Remember a few weeks ago when you thought your cycle was a write off due to follie numbers? Look where you're at now! This made me smile. :)
-
Oh and Mel, I hadn't heard this before "They say a good result will end in one good blast to t/f and then hopefully one to freeze, or more if you are really really lucky" . It makes me feel a bit more positive about our status. We had 2 hatching blasties and one extended blastie as a result of this cycle, with 2 currently frozen. I wasn't aware that this was good, so thanks again!
You know what's stupid - because we have hardly had any discussion with the clinic about freezing (apart from the basics) I keep worrying they forgot!
Anyway, I'd better get out of the TWW thread and back to the other one. Good luck to everyone still waiting.
-
Hi Rols sorry about your news. I guess the up side to all this is that you still have two lovely blasties waiting for you both. Would you look at having both put back next time round? Chin up mate just jump straight back on the rollercoaster. Take care of each other XXX
-
I hope you still read in here again Rols, because yeah, having ANY blast to freeze is great!! It really is, FS was so happy last cycle ending up with two, and if you chat to the scientists, its a really positive thing if you get a blastie to freeze. I know its sucks that you didnt get that BFP this time, but you guys have had a pretty good cycle, and hopefully, one of your frozen ones ends up with a BFP. Yeah, haa, i have thought about when i was thinking about cancelling the cycle. Its funny because the girl who told us we only had 3-4 follicles did our preg test the other day!!! Oh well, guess it was meant to be, i hope it was anyhow. We didnt expect to get any frozen, thats why we had two transferred....as we are moving. But we got a bonus! I know its just a consolation, but you guys did great :)
Mumof5- how are things today?????
Mel

Hi all i got a BT today cause i couldnt wait any longer. I did it because i got two positive HPT'S. I just called the doctor and its a :bfp:
-
Hi all,
I had my 3rd transfer today and my BT is due on 15/9. I was a bit apprehensive about today because the last 2 transfers haven't run smoothly and the doctor didn't feel comfortable about doing it again, but with a different doctor everything was fine.
Congratulations mumof5, that's great news!
Good luck to everyone else with BT's coming up.
Kazza

Yeah mumof5 that is such great news. Congrats to you and your wonderful family.

-
Hi All,
Well, I don't think we are going to make it to Monday's BT. Have started getting AF pains and spotting this morning. Just a short post..not feeling much like talking, have to go process how I feel about all this.
-
Hi all, hope everyone's doing ok.....and congrats to those of you with BFP's!:)
I have been feeling really positive and totally nauseous until last night noticed had some light spotting and cramps.... just a little spotting today but now am totally stressed out.:( Have my final BT tommorrow and now I feel that even if it's positive i'm not going to be able to relax!
Why does this have to be sooooooo hard??
Hugs to all,

Hi All,
Just popped in to say bye for now. I am officially out of the TWW this morning. I now have an enforced month off and then prepare for FET. (thank god for the snow bubs...don't think I am up for all the drugs again right now) Hope to be back here in six weeks - though I hope none of you will be here because you all got BFP's and have moved to the pregnancy thread!!!!!!
Best of luck and lots of stickyvibes
Cheers
Shelly

Hi all,
Shelly, I'm so sorry, I know how disappointing it can be. I wish you and your DH the very best of luck for your FET and a BFP in October. Take care.
Clairebear, good luck with your blood test today.
Scooby, good luck with your blood test on Saturday.
Me - had my FET on Tuesday and was upset yesterday as started to get cramping. Nurse thinks it is too early for it to work or not work, so she thinks it is probably a combination of the FET, the medication and the progesterone pessaries. I am trying to stay positive. Had a different doctor this time, started acupuncture and chinese medicine 2 weeks before the FET, so hopefully it is third time lucky.
:grouphug: and :stickyvibesgirl:

clairebear - good luck for todays BT
Kazza - i know the pessaries ALWAYS made me cramp and i have heard alot of the other girls getting similar experiences.
ME - just popping in as im very excited. had a Pregnyl booster injection yesterday, so i should ovulate today (and i can feel that happening!) my transfer of 1 blastie is scheduled for next thursday the 13 sept. hopefully 3rd time lucky/3's a charm!
good luck everybody!

Hi everyone
had BT early and yeaaaah BFP, very happy, but very scared. Icouldnt believe it i was so convinced that it was going to be negative after the HPT, even had a couple of glasses of wine last night and said stuff it, but there you go, so hopefully its going to stick !!!!!Their seems to be quite a few BFP lately so hopefully the baby dust in this thread is working well. Best wishes to everyone:pray:
-
congratulations scooby!!!! well done on the BFP!!!!!!!! when do you have a follow up test?
-
Congratulations Scooby on your BFP, that's great news!
Sonya, thanks for the reassurance re the pessaries, and good luck with your transfer next week.

Hi
thanks for the congrats, follow up is on monday, so fingers crossed, they seemed quite happy with the levels so far, so i guess thats good. I'm still very cramped though but i had that with my first pregnancy which went on be my gorgeous boy (now 4) although had a miscarriage at 8 weeks but didnt know i was pregnant there was no signs and all my HPT came back negative. You just dont know. I'm so excited but have that aweful sick dread in my stomach, which seems to be quite the norm for us LTTTC girls. Just have to stay V. positive (at least thats what i'd tell everyone else) Oh and for my winge of the day, the first family member that found out (even though, they knew what i had gone through) replied "oh you really have a long way to go yet", yeah thanks for that, just incase i didnt know!Well have a great weekend everyone. Thanks sooo much for all your support too, i'm so glad i found this place.:D
-
Girls thank you all so very much for your support and well wishes!
Well I can hardly believe it myself but I am PREGNANT!:bfp:
I am so totally thrilled and feel so blessed.
Of course am already totally stressing that i'm not sick enough and what about next weeks blood test???? does it ever go away?
I want to wish each and everyone of you this exact same result and emotion...it will happen...believe it!:D
Hugs,
Claire
-
Hi Clairebear, congratulations to you and your DH, that's wonderful news!
Scooby and Clairebear, I wish you all the very best for your follow up tests next week and for the next 9 months! Please try to stay positive and don't stress out (yeah, I know, easier said than done!).
Here's hoping for more BFP's in here soon.

Scooby and Claire thats awesome news girls it really is. Good Luck and take care
-
Hi all,
I'm not feeling overly positive today, I have had cramping on and off since my ET 6 days ago and today it is worse, more like AF pains and similar to what has happened with my last 2 transfers. Also, I don't have any other symptoms like sore boobs. To top it all off I have a cold and got upset and stressed when I had a silly fight with my DH last night and am worried this may affect the outcome too. I'm not looking forward to getting through work pretending everything is fine until my blood test on Saturday. I'm sorry for my vent but feel a bit better getting it all out.
Kazza
-
Hey Kazza..... Are you on the gel????? I was on the crinone and i got AF pains the hole time. It is a side effect of the gel.I nevr had any symptoms either just a little tired. Dont stress darl. How many days are you post transfer???? I did a HPT a week before my BT and got a bfp
-
hi all great news girls with all these BFP very happy for you all.............. as for me i got a BFN very sad had a good cry and heaps better today going again next time i just want everything to get moving again got 4 left on ice........
-
Hi vanessa, I'm so sorry about your BFN and can totally sympathise. Take care of yourself and I wish you a BFP for your next transfer.
Hi mumof5, I'm on the progesterone pessaries and I had a blastocyst transfer 5 days ago. I'm scared of another BFN and having to do another fresh cycle as no frosties left. Not sure whether to do a HPT before my BT on Sat.
-
Hehehe......I would but i just cant help myself.U'll be fine
-
Hi Everyone,
Congrats to all those that are!!! It is wonderful news.
Just thought I would pop in and let you know that I am out as well.
I had my BT last week and it came back positive but the homornes levels were low which is why I wasn't feeling it and I lost it yesterday. Have to go in tomorrow for another BT to make sure my levels are going down.
Then I am taking a break for awhile. I am very tired and getting quite bad pain so I abit disillusioned and heartbroken today that I am ever going to be able have a baby.
Wish everyone else still in the running well and positive vibes!!!!
-
Hi all,
Well, Im back. TWW started yesterday after my IUI (read all about it on my blog ), and I find out on the 24th if it worked this time...
No HPTs this time... don't want any more of those false positives... just gonna wait it out.
Hopfully there will be LOTS of BFP's this month!!!!
-
Hi all,
I'm now officially in the TWW, after embryo transfer this morning. It's going to be a long two weeks!
Can anyone tell me how long it takes for an ovidrel trigger injection to leave your system so I know when it's safe to test?
Thanks! :)
-
Miss Scarlett: 10 days usually. I have the Ovidrel trigger, and last cycle I tested at 13 days past the trigger with a 10IU test, and got a BFN, so it was definately out of my system by then.
-
Hi Leesha and Miss Scarlett ... congrats on making it to 2WW ... will be joining you soon as have my EPU on Wed and transfer probably a few days later!
Lucia and vanessa ... sorry to hear about your BFN's! Not fair! I truly hope that next cycle is the one for you!
Kazza good luck ... crossing my fingers for a BFP for you!
M05 how you doing? So glad you got a BFP!!! Yay!
-
Hey Mon.....Still feeling very off but its a good sign i guess. I had two BT and my levels are doing good. I have to go back to the IVF clinic on wednesday cause i had my other BT done at my normal GP. So they just want to confirm it for them selves. Good luck for wednesday thats awesome news. Take it real easy after you EPU.
-
Lucia, am so sorry this cycle wasn't the one. Take care of yourself and I'll have my fingers crossed that next time will give you the baby you both want and deserve.
Leasha and MissScarlett, welcome to the TWW and I wish you a BFP this time.
Mon, good luck with your EPU on Wednesday, I wish you all the very best.

Hi Girls !
I'm joining you on 2dpo, my IUI was on Sunday (same as you, leasha!) It was our first IUI and went off swimmingly - took about 5 mins (after 2 hours of waiting!!) Trying to think positive but also trying to keep realistic that it might take more goes yet.
BFP vibes to all ...
