LTTTC Two Week Wait Thread #5

Hey everyone, hope you don't mind me popping in...

I had my first IUI procedure yesterday and it went really well. Had AP afterwards and have herbs to take to encourage stickiness. DH outdid himself so we have lots of chances to get my 2 eggies which matured.

Having said that I am already going out of my mind... Is it like this for everyone or am I just truly insane.

Arielle and Georgette... loads of positive vibes going your way that yoru BTs come back brilliantly.

Everyone else, I am looking forward to seeing more of you over the bext couple of insane weeks.

Oh wow Georgette! That's awesome! Major sticky vibes to you! Did you have 2 embies put back? Could it be twins if is showing up pos this early. OMG!! I hope that 2nd line keeps getting darker for you hun. GL!!!

S'rose! I think it's like this for most people yes! It is such a highly emotionally charged time yes, but let us help you through it babe. Wishing you LOADS of luck, and lotsa stickyvibes too. 2 chances at a BFP is great hun, and good on DH!

Carla - to test or not to test?? It's a tough and scarey decision, I know. If your Pregnyl trigger was on 2/10, then I would be pretty confident that it would be out of your system by now, but not too sure if is too early to test or not. GL if you do test, but if you do and it's neg right now, don't lose hope babe, as it doesn't mean you're not ok!

Well, I retested this morning (at 4am, as I was busting), and again it's positive. This time the line is almost as dark as the control line. Starting to get excited now, and am so scared for Monday.

I DID THE TEST....i have cried all morning....Im not sure if i should be or not casue I drop the stick thing in too much pee and then it went negative straight away...........Does this means it is BFN??

Oh Carla! Hang in there hun! This DOES NOT mean that you are not Pg. It is probably too early just yet, so keep your chin up ok. I have read many accts of people testing negative right up to and including the day of their BT, only to then find that it's a nice BFP for them! I work with someone who has 2 kids and 1 on the way, and she never gets a BFP when POAS until closer to the end of her first trimester??? Wierd, but it does happen.

Thankyou for trying to chear me up. My biggest concern is that i have had no symptoms either like dizziness or nausea.....nothing...i feel the same as I have for the last 2 months on these stupid drugs....I just have a bad feeling about this.....when do I feel different???? DOes a light period pain down very low mean anything...my stomach feel all tight when i stretch and uncomfortable on the side the egg was transferred on.....what does all this mean. Just dont know how I am going to take this if its a BFN!

Thanks Arielle, I appreciate the support. Its such a crazy time. And its brilliant that the line is as dark as control... I can't wait til Monday and we can have some results for you to hang on to.

Carla - I am sorry about the initial bfn, but as Arielle said, it could easily be too early for you, and many women get no symptoms either. Hang in there hun.

I am now officially in the TWW after having 2 embies transferred this morning. Am a bit excited a bit nervous about the whole thing, so roll on BT!

Yes i did have 2 embies put back in, so it could be twins. I have 10 more preg test coming in the post, so i will keep you all updated, cant wait to see that line getting darker yipeee.

I'm new and have just had my first IUI on the 10/10/07 so am in the TWW... I found this forum through google and thought it was great to be here with other TWWers including ones who have done IUI too!

Welcome Wen J to the TWW. Hope you come out with a BFP at the end.

I am currently at day 11 of my TWW and I am starting to go insane. One minute I feel I am pg and then the next I am convinced AF is about to arrive. I am trying to be strong and not do a HPT. I only have until Thursday to wait but DP is on night shift so I haven't really had any one to talk to about all of this. Our families don't know what we are up to and they live interstate so I don't really have anyone to talk this through with. And never having been pg before it is hard to decide if I am having pg symptoms or not. I have felt a bit off ever since my transfer and that has now progressed to feeling nauseous first thing in the morning which at least does go away but rears it head again come evening. My belly is pretty sore and I have a bit of cramping but not too much. Headaches, general aches and lower back pain have also begun. Any thoughts? I really am clueless when it comes to pregnancy.

Hi ladies! No news yet! Just waiting for clinic to call me back with BT results, and yes, it's doing my head in a bit right now. I am guessing that 5 positive HPT's (3 diff brands) couldn't all lie, but I am still very nervous!
I have been told to call them by 3 if I haven't heard anything. Oh pleeeeeeease hurry up!

Princess Fiona - congrats on your 2 embies. Here's hoping it's all good news in under 2 weeks now for you!

Georgette - oh wow, could be twins, 'ey? Any updates? I hope that line darkens up nicely for you.

Results are in, and yes I am officially PREGGERS!
HCG level 262, Progesterone level 72, so that's all great apparently, and I can stop the Crinone.
Now girls, I would SOOOOO love to see a few more follow my lead ok. I'd love to see you all with BFP's, so wishing you all HEAPS of luck, and thanks so much for your support.

Georgette - Have the HPT's arrived yet??

Me: hmmm, its far to early to get excited surely... I am only 3 days post transfer and had a temp dip followed by a nice rise this morning. It was enough for me to get my hopes up and they are finally starting to settle now... I have never been this crazy yet, and think maybe I saved it all up for this cycle. I wish it was over already... lol

Oh Sonya it's nice to know someone who is a fellow IUIer! he he I haven't been taking my temps this month but I know what level they should be at so maybe I should start to see if they rise much... I'm up to doing anything that is a sign of pg! I hate this waiting!!!! It's so bad this month... Every other month I've given up hoping and expected AF to come but now we've done IUI I am hopeful again and driving myself nuts! I'm 5 DPIUI today and want to test prob next Monday at 12DPIUI and test every day after that. I have a good stash of HPTS, which is not always a good thing!
