Iv been trying for over 2 years and am starting IVF soon...anybodys ideas would be appreciated x

i reckon don't do anything special there are many long time TTCers out there who would tell you when they had stopped actively trying they fell pregnant, the more you moniter a cycle the more obsessed you get with what is working and what is'nt...
when you should have sex & when you did'nt, there is nothing more awful than starting to dislike sex!!!
I say if YOU (not your DP, DF, DH) feel interested your body probablly is at an optimal time & yes relaxing, holidays having fun all help...we have friends who adopted a baby after 15years of marriage & trying then they feel pregnant themselves there is 18months between their boys, she thinks the pressure was off they got their baby & the stress relief was instant for her & she started to enjoy life again..wishing you all the best for a happy, fun, life.
I hope it happens naturally for you madb, that would be lovely. Nice to know that you have two frostiness to try with later if plan a doesn't work. It would be so nice if it was easier, want baby, have sex a few times, get pregnant, have baby. Hard to believe that this is how it actually is for most people!

I was chatting to a mum at playgroup about how much it cost to have Spock (more than our house deposit). She laughed and said her daughter (who is a day older) only cost her a 6-pack of bundy...

So, I know of course it wouldn't work straight away or anything (or at all, really), but usually I get EWCM and other signs that *something* is happening, but this cycle - with pins and herbs on board - there's nothing! I should just call the clinic and get it over with. grump.
Hang in there :) I would give it 3 months to balance things. Goodluck may you be blessed with goops of ewcm all over the place soon :)

It took 5 months for me to get pregnant with pins and herbs.
I know how frustrating it is. With natural though it takes time for the body to respond.

We're you definitely ovulating before? Maybe it's lining up ovulation and AF?
How annoying! Totally understand the impulse to call the clinic and get them to sort it out. Where are you in your cycle? Hope it sorts itself out soon
Believe it or not I have been pregnant TWICE from having sex ( so its not an urban myth), the pregnancies didn't hang around tho, and both times I wasn't trying of course, well semi trying but had NFI about when I was O-ing or anything. :doh:
Its only when I started trying and did everything that -nothing, nada, zilch, happened. So maybe don't try. Or relax. Or go on a holiday, blah, blah, blah.
I'm a fan of acupuncture with someone specialising in fertility, royal jelly, COQ10, menevit. Our DD was a successful cycle of ivf when we had previously been on a health kick for 3 months and both lost weight ( not really very overwieght to begin with but lost around 8kg).
Seriously, best of luck to you, stick with it I agree give it a few months to get going properly, its so frustrating. xx
