it sucks eh? i had a chiro treatment that helped for a few days, but the second treatment did nothing. tossing up if i can keep paying for treatments if the relief is only going to be minimal. I was also told the tennis ball trick but told to do it in the floor- lie on the ball on the spot that hurts and roll around. don't have any tennis balls at home so haven't tried yet
my feet don't do high heels or i would try that one! only couple more months for me, hopefully it will ease up when bub arrives or at least i can get some good drugs.

Lyns, a tennis ball isn't enough for some people. Cricket balls work too. For many people, laying on it works better as you can put more pressure on it. Some rebel (and most physio's) sell spikey massage balls that work best for this though.
Have you been stretching HotI? The best stretch I've ever found for my sciatica is to sit on a chair, place my ankle over the opp knee and lean forward. If I don't feel the stretch I fiddle with things like where I'm positioned on the chair (sometimes I need to move closer to the edge of the chair), the height of the chair (sometimes my ottoman is a better height), pushing down on the knee of the leg I used to cross the ankle, leaning forward more, leaning slightly to the side as I go forward.
You have my complete empathy. Sciatica sucks!

Ps I have found Osteo and Physio (with accupuncture) more effective for me. Physio more so. Happy to recommend my Physio in greensborough if you want his details.

My bump is getting in the way of feeling a good stretch! I have to get a bit more inventive in my stretching.

Some days are worse than others so some day the tennis ball works, others it doesn't.
I've found out answers to my questions from the start of this post too. You can't use tiger balm or voltaren gels.
This morning my pain was really bad that I lost feeling in two of my toes. So in the shower I went and then tried a cool pack. It seemed to have done the trick so far.
My sciatica was much much worse after my accident. And I've got slipped discs as well so that adds even more pain and limits what I can do more.
Hotl my belly is getting in the way too. Haha

There's a cream called fusiocream that is safe in pg and works a treat. I've only seen it in physio's though.

Mother goose : could you please pass on the number to your physio :)
