Hang in there hun, not long to go now! I'm on "the outside" (ie not in hospy) and due 1/1 but soooo ready for bub to come right now - so I can't imagine what you're going through. You are one tough mama! What are you doing to pass all the time?
Good Luck for tomorrow Bex! (hopefully I got the day right!)
Sending you all the luck in the world along with all the best wishes I can muster for tomorrow Bex!
I am soooo looking forward to reading your birth announcement.
Take care my friend x

A big thank you for everyones support, Emerson Max born 19/12 @11:34am. He was 1880 or 4.2 pounds. He is doing well in special care no health concerns just needs to put on weight to start feeding properly. Poor lil gets exhausted after a few sucks. Still looking at another 10 or so days before home.
I'm doing well had no issues with the vasa during the CS small amount of bleeding & took a lil longer but no big bleeds luckily.
Thanks again for keeping me sane :)
GLad to hear you and Emerson are doing well Bex.
Hope he fattens up quickly and you can take him home soon.

Glad you're both doing well. I hope he is home soon.
Congrats Bex! Hope Emerson grows big and strong quickly, all the best for your recovery. Enjoy this special newborn time.
I've just been diagnosed with Vasa Previa and was wondering if anyone else has gone through the same thing? I don't see my OB until Tuesday, but am pretty horrified by the risks, although so grateful it has been diagnosed and we can minimise them. The consultant mentioned it may move, but online resources aren't seeming to agree :( I'm particularly interested in the sort of treatment you received, if you were hospitalised in the 3rd tri and when bubs was born. Also, how did you and your partner cope emotionally and practically, did you have children already?
I have not had a child nor am I pregnant but just wanted to say I hope everything is ok and your doctors are looking after you and I am glad it was found for you so you know and can take all precautions to keep you and bubs safe. I just had a read up on it as i didn't know what it was.
Thinking of you and wishes you all the best xoxoxo
Thanks Kerbear. I'd never heard of it either. I'm so thankful I had an awesome sonographer, it isn't normally checked for at the morphology scan, and she found it anyway. I think one hell of a thank you present is headed her way :D
I hope your luck turns around soon, it looks like you have had a rough ride
I have nursed a few people with it. 1 by memory were picked up when a VE was attended during labour and the midwife could feel the pulsation of the vessels through the membranes. It was then diagnosed during her c/s. I know there have been others also and of them some have delivered vaginally and others c/s. I have not ever seen a bad outcome from this or an early delivery or even an elective c/s but that is most likely because they usually are unknown until after delivery
You have definately got a great sonographer.
Thanks for your kind words, yes we have had a rough ride but we are getting there slowly xo
