    Mozzie Bites ?

DD1 complained of a sore ear earlier today it was slightly red but nothing strange (I assumed it was cos she'd slept on it) then tonight eating dinner I commented it looked REALLY red then noticed the top of her ear was HUGE!

DP took her to the local hosp where a nurse said was a reaction to a Mozzie bite (she had quite a few) but I'm still worried.
She was given Zyrtec at the hosp before 8pm and her ear is still swollen???
I've just had to give her nurofen to get her to sleep ok and she's still clinging to me in her bed

For anyone on my FB there is a pic showing her ear, do you think it's just a bad reaction?
She reacted badly once when bitten near the eye but this just looks wrong, not like a Mozzie bite IYKWIM.
Will upload a pic to bb tomorrow for those not on my fb?

Hi ZF I'm not on your fb but my DS gets allergic reactions to mozzie bites as well they are huge and red rather swollen also. I give claratyne and put paw paw ointment on them seems to help. Good luck with your LO

Thanks, she had a reaction in her face before and her normal bites get quite red & lumpy but nothing like yesterday.
It's still slightly swollen and bright red so will give Zyrtec and then see how we go

They can take at least 24 hours to reduce. DD2 as a youngster used to really react and sometimes it was a few days before they became tiny. Bandaids over a bit helps stop the scratching.
Is it itchy, if not then it might be another type of bite.

    Hope it goes down soon
