Swab came back within normal limits of everything :( So I'm now off to the Gyno. Could be at least a 3 mth wait though being a public paitent. Have to stay on the cream she has given me for another week, and then go to a more milder one.

Hope you get in sooner than that and before the warm weather arrives and its something easily treatable. :( Have you tried calling a few private gynos and see if their gap is something you could afford?

My mum was incorrectly diagnosed with lichen sclerosis due to itching, irritation and fragile skin, the problem ended up being a chronic low estrogen level which has resolved using topical estrogen creams, she was peri menopausal at the time though so may not be your problem.

Yeah it is normally found in women that have gone or are going through Menopause. I have been on the depo injection for 3 years so don't get periods anyway. I don't mind waiting the 3 mths. I think the cream she gave me is helping, which is why she has given me a milder one now to keep it at bay. I have to keep the other though in case of major flare ups.

So a follow up to this. The cream did eventually clear most of it up, but I have still had one sore that has not gone away, and dry skin. I had my Gyno appointment this morning, and the registrar didn't seem to think it was Lichen Scolersus, but she called down the boss man to double check. He decided to perform a biopsy anyway just to rule it out properly. Took 3 local anesthetics before I felt him stop *****ing me with the needle. They did the biopsy, and then I wouldn't stop bleeding after the biopsy, so I have had to be stitched as well.

Well get results in 2 - 3 weeks.

nah I am okay. Just hae a thumping headache which is probably from staring at the light in the ceiling while they poked and prodded. If I sit wrong the stitch pulls, so have laid down most of the arvo and tried to sleep.

How are things going? I once again have issues going on down there. Its so frustrating as no one knows what it is now as all results are clear but I now bleed after sex and am itchy and sore and need to pee more frequently. All STD checks are normal. I'm so sick of getting the STD lecture and every new person I see insists it must be one only for the tests to come back clear. Now they are talking about doing a cystoscopy (looking in the bladder I might have spelt that wrong) lap and hystercopy. I hope you get some answers. Its hard to treat or manage the problem when no one can tell you what it is.

Mildez could it be that you are slightly tearing during inter course? That would create the burning and bleeding?

Maybe we should start a new thread, but have you been tested for thrush? Can mimic bladder infection symptoms.

Have had a cystoscopy, but that was for another issue (frontal wall vaginal prolapse). The joys of being female :rolleyes:

I was going okay. On the 2nd night after having the stitch, it fell out. The biopsy area just feels like a hard lump.
