Another stroke...
*Update*
Things had been going well, they made it back to Australia and his recovery was slow but he was progressing well, recently he has had another quite severe stroke. He will most likely be transferred into a nursing home, as he has encountered significant brain damage and the family will be unable to care for him at home.
We are glad that he has the extra time with his children and grandchildren and is going to live out the rest of his life in Australia, much better than what we were looking at a few months ago.
The family have also been able to make peace, being given thos extra few months that seemed impossible.
Thankyou all for your support and messages, I have passed them on to the family, and they were thrilled to read the messages.

Aww thanks for asking Rach :)
He is in a nursing home, and has some quality of life, today his son and grandsons are taking him down to the foreshore in Gosford to see the Australia Day events, he is in a wheel chair and it is lovely for him to "get out".
He can't look after himself and requires 24/7 care, he remembers family, but not all the time, he can't communicate very well, so it is very sad to see him, after being such an active person. He won't recover fully from the stroke, he is learning to do some of the basics but it is a long road, and they expect that he will live out his days in the nursing home.
But at least he had the opportunity to be with his family and to have the oportunity to say the most important things (before the stroke).
Thankyou for asking
