dearmum, congratulations !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!******************* * I am so happy for you. i hope that you take it easier than normal...... carry that beautiful life......when do you have a dating scan?
em, the difference with the clips is that there is no portion cut out. ours was cut out after a c/section when our tubes were enlarged. With the clips the tubes are at normal size an only a tiny amount is cut and rejoined. With my tubes, they supposedly took 1cm but when they shrunk (now) it worked out to maybe 3/4/5 cm of tube- leaving them very short. Thats why if you have had clips, the outcome is far better. I am hoping to get answers too.... I can't believe the response I got from kathy at dr coopers. I wrote to them to tell them about my polycystic ovaries, and she wrote back and said the ultrasound was normal????? So not. anyway, I have an appointment in july with a specialist up here but it's gonna cost me $200 for the first visit and then 110 after for every visit. Its a lady and I am hoping that she will have better bedside manners than the other gynea i saw. I am waiting for the hospital to make me an appointment as well. I thing is with polycystic- you are not supposed to have regular periods and I do. anyway, i totally hear you about the toast and peeing with a baby... I'm sure you wouldn't give it up though..... you vent here anytime... write me.. if you can...
kiya, great to see you back. ivf will be great for you and hopefully you will share your journey with us.

OMG I COME BACK IN HERE AND EVERYONE IS FALLING PREGNANT.....
CONGRADULATIONS>>>>
We brought a van and have plenty of room for a new baby, so I will be working on DH...
we brought a toyota hiace custom 4x4 (8 seater) and fuly recommended to any large family.
It has heaps of room in the back.
Not to mention we only paid $19,000 for a 1996 van with 93,000 k's on the clock.
(we could not afford a brand new one)...
It's even got 3 sunroofs, dual air con, and tinted windows, and it's auto.... I love it but mainly because my dh cant say we dont have any room anymore.
we even have 1 huge room at home awaiting to be converted to 2....
I am going to call them tuesday and re-book my appointment and then next month when I have some money I am going to just say we are going....
(Truth be told he didnt want to buy a new car, but it is amazing what a few small words do.... t0 change their mind)....
MUMOF6- how's breah going...???
Kiya ---- GOOD TO SEE YOU BACK IN HERE....
CHAT soon....

New TR mum
Hello all - this is my first time on this site. I have got 3 kiddies 2 boys 9 and 7 and a girl 6. My tubes were clamped 5 years ago - I was only 25 - and I now want a baby. (Well, I have done for a couple of years now). I am scared that I wont be able to reverse it and wont have a chance to have any more babies..
-
Mummy25..oh i cant wait for the next update how execiting. Breah is doing pretty good.
There is a but tho, she just doesnt seem to want to sleep unless im holding her and its doing my head in like seriously. Also i need to make some friends around here cause im really going crazy just doing all the mum stuff and having no adult company and adult convo. I had a fight with DF saying how hard it is and i really look forward to the weekends cause hes home and we go to the boys footy. But he doesnt get it I tried to tell him that he has a life outside of this house and can get away but i cant, these four walls are my life. God i can winge!! Bloody women.:D
Hi Sharmane and welcome,
Like most of us in here we are all wanting a baby and have had or are looking into getting a TR or doing IVF. Good luck on your journey and im looking forward to getting to know you and your family more. We are all pretty cool chicks in here(well i think we are:D)and we all give each other the help and support your looking for.
Ray where are you.............................
-
Welcome Charmane, hope your journey isnt too long..
You can have it reversed and it does work so if it is really what you want go for it.
IVF is also another option to think about..
All the best and I look forward to chatting with you some more
Em, sorry your having a hard time... sounds like you need a baby sitter and head out for the day for some "you" time, go out for dinner, catch a movie, get your hair done, whatever you feel like... hope you feel better soon.
Thanks for the congrats mummy25, sounds like you are almost set for a new addition to your family !!! keep working on him;) all the best.
Karen thankyou for the well wishes, how are you doing ?
Think its about time I hit the sack,
goodnight
-
Hey guys - thankyou for welcoming me into your forum. I went to the doctor today to see about TR - I got a referral - rang them - and they said it will cost 4000 - 6000 dollars to get it done as it isnt covered by medicare or private cover now.Argh..
So they have booked me in for IVF on the 31st July.
I dont know the first thing about IVF - any helpers??:wall:
-
Hi Sharmane;)yay another lady!
I can tell you all about IVF as if just been through it and i got my :bfp:
Imust say everyone is different about the meds they give you but usally if its your first time like me they will give you the standard dose of things.I had to spray my nose for about 4 weeks and then inject my stomach for 1 week but it was all a breeze. If you have any questions i dont mind talking about it all.
Im sure you will have sucess with it as Motherof6 and i gave it one try and we both fell pregnant the first time.Well keep us posted on when you start ect.
Hi Ladies  im still over the moon about being pregnant, but gosh my hormones are all over the place because im so p###d off all the time:Dyeh the kids can say something wrong atm.I dont remember being like this last time.
Hi Onemore how are you feeling?any m/s?
Hi Motherof6 It can get you down when your stuck in the house all the time, try and get out more, what i plan to do once i have bubs is go to the gym and maybe put bubs in care for a hour.
Well ladies i must go and grab the kids from school.Talk again

Thankyou so much darmum. motherofsix - wow. how do you cope?
What does BFP mean? Im not used to all of the shorthand yet!!
ouch - a needle in the belly for a week!
-
I am so happy for the BFP which means that they are pregnant (big fat positive). Congratulations to you both Dearmum and Onemore. I wish I was joining you too but I cant see it happening this year because of bills that need to be paid.
Em, I will try and get around to your place soon. One problem about working it does interfere with you social life. At the moment I have only got weekend off but I maybe off early tomorrow. I will SMS you are soon as I know.
-
Hey girls, how are we today ?
Thanks crazymum2, sorry your plans are on hold:( hopefuly the year will go quick and you can start in the new year...
Dearmum, Phisicaly I`m pretty good, sore bb`s and nausea oh and really tired. But the sysptoms keep me positive !!Phsycologicaly I`m loosing my mind:lol: I`ve got to go for viability scan next Wed so I`m really nervous but want the week to hurry up and pass, I`ll be 7 weeks then so at least there will be no question as to whether this little one sticks or not  it does...
Sharmane, sorry I spelt your name wrong the other day !! T/R can be expensive, I had mine done in Melbourne at no charge.. had it done at the Royal Womens Hospital, I think they are the only ones that do it for free but there is a waiting list. At least with IVF you pretty much start straight away so best of luck to you and I hope your as lucky as Dearmum and mumofsix and only have to do it once..
Gotta go cook tea, take care and chat later

Thankyou onemore. You have made me feel good..Do you have any kids? Or is this your first? Either way - I am really excited for you..
Do you guys have heaps of people telling you that you are mad? I already have 3 school aged kiddies - and people think I am stupid for having number 4 - (at least wanting)... Why are people so against having babies - they always say you cant afford it.. GRRR...
Crazymum2 - that really sucks that you have to wait. The only good thing is that the year does seem to be flying - so hopefull it will go in the blink of an eye for you...
Dearmum - is this your 1st pregnancy? How far along are you? So exciting. I am a little disappointed about IVF - its not something I thought about - It takes out the spontinaity of it - but I know I need to feel blessed I have the choice..;)
-
onemore, I am so happy for you.......... this is great news... I hope that the scan is AOK....They should be able to do the scan now for you to check the heartbeat..
em, sorry to hear you going bonkas, i would come over but it's just a little to far for me......are there any mothers groups in your area? have you tried the local council for or community health center? DF will never understand cause they just want their time when the weekend comes around... Well nothing happenin.. have an appointment with private gyane but have heard from the public yet. Hopefully, I will get a response soon. Still get af regularly. so hopefully I will get some answers soon...
Hey sharmane, welcome to all us mums who have been grossly misinformed from having this done. I had my reversal done in 06 but I had my tubes cut when I had the ligation. You have a far better chance with the clips and reversal. You can have them done at melbourne- it didn't take long for a couple of girls to get done there and they all had success falling naturally. I have had a little more trouble because of the length of tube left after they cut it and then joined. I had to pay $10k cause i live in north queensland and had to travel to sydney to have it done. Usually what will happen is you need your referral and then whatever you decide (public/private) they will do laprscopic surgery to assess and the go through with reversing. I think that all hospitals should stop performing ligations- as this can really damage your hormones as some of us girls found out after the procedure. I am not keen on ivf and have a lot of patience as I am studying at the moment at uni. I'm gunna deliver the babies!!!! I still ttc (trying to concieve) but just wait on God. If it is supposed to happen it will- just not when I demand.... Anyway, I hope this has helped you a little and BFP is positive pregnancy test. It all took us a little while to learn the lingo...
kiya, hey haven't seen you round these parts for some time too..... good to see you back...
mummy25, nice car... hope your appt is productive...
-
Hi Sharmane and welcome
Im in the process of having a reversal. Im going thru the Royal Womens Hospital in Melb. I have had my 2 appointments at the hospital and have received the pre admission forms and sent them back and now I'm waiting for the letter that tells me when the op will be. Its only taken 4 months to get to this point from getting the referral to now. DH and I thought this would be a better option for us leaving IVF as a last resort(Im scared of needles)
I agree with luvchildren that T/Ls should be banned or at least give women the full facts and counselling. I wish that I was given the full facts cos I wouldn't have gone thru with the T/L.
Onemore: fingers crossed for a heartbeat
