On Tuesday night I was laying on the couch and out of no where I had the most incredible pain in my mouth and jaw on the right side. It lasted about 15 minutes. It was so painful. I thought it was my tooth but it was all along my top and bottom jaw. The pain went and I felt fine
Last night and again tonight at 7:30 the pain hit me again. I can't even describe just hw painful this is. I can't talk, I make it to the kitchen pop some panadol (I assume it's teeth) but then it goes away within 10-15 minutes and then I'm fine
If it was teeth wouldn't it hurt all the time? I am wondering if I have a pinched nerve somewhere. Tonight when it hit I pressed on my neck and the pain eased dramatically
Who would I see. A dr or dentist? It really is horrible and I'm so glad it only lasts a few minutes
Also the warning is literally a minute. I said to dh tonight I think my mouth is going to be sore again tonight and then bam. The pain was crippling
Ps I have a high pain tolerance so this really blooming hurts

Have you had your wisdom teeth come through yet?

I'm honestly not sure. I think so. I did think that last night as well

Where abouts on your neck did you press and have relief?

Sounds like nerve pain. I would see a dr about it as it has happened more than once. If it's tooth related they can tell u to see a dentist.
If you get no luck I would see an Osteo...
Was there a trigger? Something you did before both episodes?
I hope you get it sorted, sounds awful

I pressed at the base of my neck to the side, just above my shoulder
All I was doing all 3 times was leaning to my left on the couch. So all I can think of is that I am kinking my neck or something.
I have no pain at all so I can't see how it would be teeth related. I am dreading 7:30 tonight. It's always at that time which is simply bizarre. I haven't just eaten or anything like that either. If it does it again tonight I'll go see my dr tomorrow. Very hard to get an appointment on a Sunday

I was hit by that incredible pain again today. This time it was afternoon. I rinsed my mouth as I didn't want to take panadol and went and lay down. It eased then came back with a vengeance I took 2 panadol and no lie in less then 30 seconds the pain was gone again. I know the panadol is not working that fast. Every time I feel a twinge in my jaw I tense thinking it is the pain returning.
No triggers this time as I was in the car. Sitting up straight. Thankfully I wasn't driving as I would have had to pull over. It's so damn painful

You need to go and see a dr hun, it could be just a pinched nerve, but the fact that the pain is so crippling, you need to know what it is.
I'm sorry you are going through this

Def see a doc honey. There's a few things it could be but the first thing I thought of was trigeminal neuralgia. Although the fact you got relief from pressing your neck means it could be something much less serious like a pinched nerve.
I agree with the others, you need to find out what this is. I hope it resolves quickly.

I wasn't able to get into the Dentist till the new year so I have a Drs appointment today
Last night I felt a twinge so took 2 nurofen zavance and no pain at all came on. Don't know it is was the nurofen or not but I don't care I didn't get that crippling pain so I am happy
When I spoke with the dentist they said I might have an infection under a tooth but seeing as the pain isn't all the time it could be a pinched nerve.. Neuralgia is a possibility too..
