Im thinking of getting a cup for myself and I would love to get one for my niece. she will be 18 later this year do you think this is a good idea or not?

TBH I would be weirded out if my aunt gave me that for an 18th present (actually anyone for any occasion). But if it is something that you have talked about and she has indicated she would like to try then go for it.

I agree with Artechim. I would be horrified if my aunt bought me something like that when I turned 18.. but it all depends on how close you are and if you have discussed it suppose.

I think it's one of those presents that you only buy for someone if they have indicated that they want you to buy them one - like a puppy.

I would run it by her Mum first.
If you have the open type of relationship with your niece where you discuss mentrual periods and so on, then perhaps next time you see her bring it up that you are considering getting one and judge her reaction.
Otherwise, I agree with the other posters.

I agree with the others, it's not something i would want my aunt or well anyone else for that matter buying me.
If it's something you have discussed and you know she is interested in trying it then i would discuss it further but IMO it's not something i would just 'gift' to someone IYKWIM.

Sorry I agree with others I would be weirded out if I got one as a gift from anyone let alone an aunt for my 18th.

Yeah I wasnt thinking for her actual Bday just as a gift as she is active but hates tampons and wont use them but then feels left out of activitys

maybe ask her first? Just to check she would be comfortable with it?
I'd be weirded out for sure! But if they discussed it with me first, I may react differently.
