Logistics of night toilet training

my DD is 6 and she still wets the bed most nights. it is very frustrating. we have limited night time drinks and take her to the loo in the middle of the night but she still wets most of the time. we have brolly sheets which are great. sometimes she wets the blanket but we just wash it and dry it before the next night. my other DD is 3 1/2 and have just tried night TT she is slightly better but still wets. brolly sheets dont seem to be as good for her and she crinkles them up and gets underneath them.

Just been checking out their website and are made with PUL not PVC... Maybe the older ones were PVC? :dunno:
NONE of my LOs are night trained yet! Even ds1 and he's nearly 5 1/2, in fact I still put them all in nappy/pulls for day naps coz they often have accidents then too :( there's a family history of bwing though so I'm not surprised just waiting it out. Wish it didn't have to be so expensive in the interim though *sigh* ds1 does ask to were jocks to bed but I'm not brave enough to try without him being dry for a week prior which hasn't happened yet. Soon hopefully.

Last night DD went to bed in undies.....we'd put her in a pj top after dinner because her clothes were grotty and neither DH or I thought about it - she was in her pjs which just meant she was in a nappy. She got up this morning completely dry. She always has a heavy wet nappy when she gets up in the morning, so I figure she knows the feeling of undies. Don't know that I'm brave enough to try again though, especially when most of our linen is packed! :rofl:

Could you give it a go with DD? She's been day TT for a while now, yeah?

Yep she's been dry day time since about the start of the year or a bit before.

I say things to her casually like "you could wear undies to bed if you like" or "if you need to get up and go to the toilet in the night time, come and get mummy if you need to!" but she's showing no interest at all so I'm happy to keen waiting. She was dry a couple of mornings and I got excited but that didn't last.

DD1 often wears no undies to bed (under pants PJ's) so i'm not sure if that makes a big difference.
We didn't really wait or ask if she wanted knickers, one afternoon i forgot the nappy & put knickers on and she was fine the next morning, we kept going with it and if she had an accident we just changed the sheets, popped knickers back on and away she went.

DD2 is a bit more challenging but am limiting drinks and watching her nappy in the morning this week and next week if she's waking dry we will try the knickers again.

We are about to start with my DD and a friend advised having a mattress protector but then also putting one of those blueys on top of the bottom sheet. This way if they wet all you need to do is whip off the bluey which can then go through the washer and dryer. Oh and obviously change the child's pjs also LOL
