Question Saturated nappies, nappie liners and smell! Please help; )

    Hi ladies,

I have a BIG wetter on my hands. Change the itti bittys every 2-3 hours as per usual, he is 16 months old (I use baby behinds every night) but the smell is god awful, not sure if I ever noticed it before.. or if it has just taken its toll. Any suggestions? should I maybe start using baby powder?

Also, how many of you guys use liners? Where do I find them? Usually little man has solid poos but I find that possibly having them on hand might be a good thing.

Btw, no chance of change over to disposables as I will be doing the early potty training. ; )

Any advice, tips, would be absolutely fabulous!

Btw, he only has one cup of milk tops per day and water. (Diet is pretty good, no added sugar. Not very much processed food as that is how we eat.)

Thanks heaps if you can help. ; )

The nappies might just need a good strip wash? Our night nappies are pretty rank by morning regardless, but a good strip wash or extra rinses usually helps.

you might find it's the nappies rather than his wee, unless he's a bit dehydrated and the wee is quite dark and smelly? Def give a strip wash a go. I find when there's soap buildup on the nappies it only takes one wee for it to smell really wee-y and stale.

Rocking Green washing powder is great for smelly nappies (you need to buy it online - it's a special cloth nappy one). We found once DS started sleeping 12 hours we just had to use a disposable at night (got nice natural ones without all the chemicals and that are biodegradable). He smelt awful in the morning in cloth!
