:dance::dance:32 weeks today!!!!:dance::dance:
We almost can't believe it! When we went into hospital, two whole months ago, the doctors told us to prepare for a tiny little prem and that if we got to 28 weeks, it would be a mirace.
Yet here we are, a whole MONTH further along than that!!!!!! A whole month further than Charlie!!!!
If this little one is born in the next couple of weeks ( which is pretty likely, but who really knows ) it is SUCH a different journey to Charlie's. Only minimal breathing support, tube feeds etc but likely to be transferred to our local hospital by 35 weeks and likely to be home by 36.
It is such a different place to be compared to where we started, such joy and excitement when we talk about his birth now, instead of fear and anxiety and mind numbing terror at the idea that we might not get a 'take home' baby at the end of it.
Thank you soooooo much for the belly belly support group, it's been sooooo amazing to be able to come on here and update our progress to people who have been through the premmie journey and can understand the fear we have felt. It's only good news from here we hope girls and looking forward to posting his birth announcement!
Definitely worth a celebration !

Congratulations.
:confetti: hooray! 32 weeks is an amazing thing after ur chances of reaching 28 weeks. im so happy for you guys!!!
i hope he keeps cooking for as long as possible! seems like a stubborn lil one already :lol:
That is the most fabulous news. I have been wondering how you have been going and hoping all was well. Such a difference those weeks make to the little one's chances to coming out without any breathing support at all i would think. And that suckling reflex is so close to development. Yay.
Congratulations!:clap::dance:
Wooooo Hooooooo!!!!!!

UPDATE!
Sal is definitely in labor, she has been having contractions since leaving hospital three weeks ago :wtf:
but only mildish and not regular. Came into hospy last night ( for the umpteenth time ) to get checked out and she is 3cms dilated!
We are soooooo excited to meet our little boy, I know it's still early but we really, truly believed we were having a 24 or 25 weeker so to have a 33 weeker is FRICKIN AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My wife is absolutely my hero to have gotten our little boy this far. What an amazon woman!!!
Contractions seemed to have kicked into a regular pattern in the last couple of hours, so we will maybe have a baby soon. See here later for birth announcement ?!?!?!!?
:D
Congratulations on making this far!
Hope all goes well and you both get to enjoy new born cuddles as soon as your little man enters the world.

Well done and all the best :leap:
That is fantastic! All the best for the birth and I look forward to the BA!
Sorry everyone, no baby today!
Sal had strong, 3-4 minute contractions from 1pm yesterday, they moved her to the birth suite from the ward upstairs where she had spent the night, at 6.30pm They finally did an internal at 11.30pm to find NO CHANGEfrom the Sunday night! Grrrrrr, still 3cm dilated with bulging membranes but contractions weren't strong enough to dilate her further.
Anyway, 'home' again in the caravan, Doc's say that it's easy to break your membranes at this stage, so it will hopefully happen in the next week or so. Happy he is still safe & sound, just struggling with the emotional ups and downs!
oh bummer...it must be hard, you have been through so much as a family waiting for this little one. Have no wise words so just sending hugs.
oh wow! hope you guys are all holding up ok xx this must be quite exhausting for Sal...3-4 min contrax can't be fun for that long...
sending big big :hug: to you all xx
WooHoo for almost 34 weeks!
I do understand the ups and downs though. I went from 28-30+1 with Brendan in and out of labour and then again with Tristan from 26 weeks until he finally arrived at 34+3. It definitely is a good feeling having a bub that cooked longer, even though still prem, the experience is totally different the second time around (if you have a later gest bub)
All the best for the coming days.
Gently does it!!!!
All in good time....
You've been so brave this far - trust me it'll be worth it.
Keep an eye on bab's movements and trust the process ;)
As annoying as the emotional rollarcoaster is he is doing the right thing staying put!!!!
Good luck, hope you can all get some rest.
xoxo
