Got the PM, thanks Helle.
Thanks Helle :)
Thanks Helle :D
Oooh Helle. Could you pm me the details too please. Sounds perfect for when Bub #3 comes along. Thanks so much. Have you considered contacting the supplier to ask for a commission?? ;-)
Thanks. I think that website is a little too cool for my bank balance!
We have both the Egg and Clock. The egg has been invaluable, IMO, to see the temp in DD's room at a glance. I'm tempted to get another one for this baby so we can have one in each room. We've used sleeping bags (TOG rated) since DD was 9 weeks so the Egg has made things SO easy!
The clock is gorgeous but has a completely different use. It is a great night light but it's real purpose is to try to teach your LO when it's sleep time and when it's time to get up.
I highly recommend both though. I love Gro products!!
Hi
Agree with the other girls egg is fantastic for telling the temp and I love it but really doesn't throw any light into the room. I haven't got the clock yet but will keep it in mind when i need to teach the staying in bed lesson!
I'll have to come back on here tomorrow with the name/brand for you but we have a fabulous little hedgehog that lights up and changes colours that he now uses for light in his room at night. I charge it during the day and then it stays changing colours all night for him. It gives out enough light for him to be able to see his toys and books that he has in the cot with him. Its super cute as well :). Quite small about the size of a coffee mug so he just takes it to bed with him. It was given as a gift so i'd have to google once I find the name where you could get it.
Probably a little bit more pricey than you are wanting but thought i would mention it anyway, have you seen the mylight lights? You get your childs name on it. They are big too, so worth what u pay and a gorgeous keepsake to have for years to come that your child will never outgrow. google mylight and check them out. you have a choice of warm white glow light or for a bit more $$ you can get the rgb light which has 16 different colours and 5 different ways of having those colours cycle as well as it comes with a remote :)
Ummm one word IKEA , got the cutest little night light from there Tue for under $30. About groegg size and egg shaped but it's got little ears and two dots for eyes and a triangle mouth (like a mouse). Comes in two different colour options; Glows from green-blue or pink-red. Can operate cordless about 7hrs or plugged in indefinitely. Can adjust the brightness in a choice of three different levels. Throws a really good amount of light, enough for me to find nipple to mouth and find dummy's in the dark or toys or my water glass or my phone :p oh... And did I mention IT'S LESS THAN $30!
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk pls excuse spelling mistakes!
Thanks for all the ideas girls!
We also have the IKEA one that BBB described. It is perfect for my toddler as she is able to turn it off and on easily. It isn't too bright, I've slept with it on when I've been camped out in her bed while she is sick but definitely allows enough visibility. DD calls it her cat and when we enter her room during the day motions for us to be quiet as her cat is sleeping haha.
We also have the Gro Clock, it's an awesome night light but we have been having issues with DS getting up really early and now he knows he has to stay in bed until "the sun comes up" , has quit a few functions including an alarm (as if we will need that for a loooonggg time ) dimmer for the light etc. About $70 but worth it for us.
Sorry for the delay in coming back with the details ladies. Its the Giimmio Magic Light. Like I mentioned before we have the hedgehog one and there are a range of different animals you can choose from. Had a look on their website and looks like Toys/Babies R Us sell them. Very cute. Changing colours. And can recharge during the day and then give sufficient light at night.
Your local woolies/coles sell night lights for around $25 in the torch/light bulb section. We had one shaped just like the gro egg, on a stand that charged it and it would then switch colours throughout the night. Think I've seen other shapes also. I also saw a smurf one similar at Myer recently for only $19. It doesn't have to be expensive there are all sorts of night lights available. As for the clock tis also a great idea but you can find them cheaper...saw one the other day at a toy shop on sale and we are going to get it for DS1 whom is 4.5 we are teaching him when it's acceptable to come bounding into our room LOL and it also has a soft alarm, could be good for school.
I actually have a little Ikea one (think it's what the PPs have been talking about) as my nightlight for when DD wakes at night. I used it when she was BFing overnight too. We call him Mr Green :D It's one of those little white faces that are rechargeable and come in blue, red, green and another colour I think. They are $25.
I've actually plugged Mr Green into DD's room tonight as she's been waking a lot at night lately and given we are in a new house (moved 2 weeks ago), we are wondering if she's scared. Her Gro Clock is in her big girl room so she only had the light from the Egg and her monitor in the nursery. Mr Green really lights up the room well though so hopefully that helps with our sleep issues tonight!
