michelle i am so sorry
Michelle hun, I so shocked and saddened to read this news. I can't believe you are going through this. Anything I say cannot possibly express how I feel right now and how much I wish I could change what has happened. Just know that I am thinking of you and sending all my love xx
Michelle; Im shocked. I dont know what to say. I only met Greg once but it was enough to know he was kind hearted person with a great sense of humour and very much your other half. If you need anything at all I am kid free til thurs if you need someone to cook for you; watch the kids; hold you while you cry, ANYTHING at all. Please dont hesitate to ask; I want to be useful to you in some way
Freya she has family staying but you know if I was in Sydney I would perhaps make something that you know her kids can eat that can be popped in the microwave. Just something to have on hand in the freezer.
It's just a thought & only a random one. I just know people don't ask. They don't ask for help or even know what they need. It's only been 9 hours since he flew I don't think anything has set in for her.
so it's just a thought that night help. I hope that's okay
I have decided recently that I need to have an extended break from BB, but I just wanted to offer Michelle my sincerest condolences  I am so very very sorry hun for the loss of your dearest husband. Thinking of you and your family at this sad time xx
That is a brilliant idea Deb. Ive been wanting to atleast text her and tell her Im here to do anything at all. Anything. Even just tidy up and help with the kids. But cook I can do. Might send the text anyway so she gets it when she is ready.
I just feel so helpless sitting here a mere car ride away from her and not doing anything.
I understand Freya. :comfort: It was just a thought as I do know at times when I've been through difficulty I never ask for help  So, perhaps just arriving with some portions for the freezer that can be easily heated up for the kids, muffins anything might be a help yk?
I know that people on the doorstep that don't mind dropping and running with food to freeze is usually a beautiful gesture.
I was going to say the same as Deb Freya, I'm sure Michelle would appreciate that. She's not in Sydney right now, but if you could make some stuff and keep it at your place until she's back, I'm sure that would work. I agree that people don't ask, I've learnt that the hard way.............just do whatever you think would be helpful for her hun. You have three kids, and you're a sensitive person so you'll know what to do :). I'm sure she'd love to see any message of support and love right now too.
Still distraught here, so many tears for Michelle, Greg, and their little ones  I wish I could make it all better for them.
I feel sick with sadness. I just can't comprehend this. I spoke to Michelle earlier. She is as you would expect, in shock and heart broken.
Anything that you Sydney girls could do would be so good. I wish I was there IRL.
This is just so sad.
Michelle we love you and grieve with you.
I thought she was back at home? Spring is she or is she still in Orange??:
She's not in Sydney right now
I feel the same way. I just keep wandering around wondering what I can do :(:
I just feel so helpless sitting here a mere car ride away from her and not doing anything.
Cooking is not my forte but I'm sure there's something I could make. I was going to make zuchini slice for my kids today, I might do an extra, that freezes OK :dunno:
If any of you speak to her again; tell her we are here and ready to do whatever she needs when she gets home! If she is still in Orange and eventually needs someone to drive her back with the kids; I can do that as well!
Willow; we'll have to put our heads together and come up with a plan.
I am gutted for Michelle. I have no words, but Michelle if you read this know that you and Greg are in my prayers xx
Yes she is still in Orange. I don't know when she will be going home.
She is that was my mistake. I thought she was but then she said he was relieving at the hospital... I am sorry if I have confused everyone with that.
Freya & Willow I told her I would call later today again & I will tell her.. xxx
Thanks Deb I appreciate it
Oh girls - I've read Michelle's news, and feel sick to the stomach, my heart break for her, it's going to be such a long and lonely road, I know first hand. It's so tragic, and with little Omar growing aswell..........
Can I tell you all to talk to me if you need any advice on the best things to do for Michelle. At this point, Michelle will not know what she needs help with - I appreciated people just taking action, doing things, using their own initiative - to this day I hate it when people say 'call if you need anything' - you don't call, you can't reach out, your pain is so all consuming. So, definately drop meals off, things she can feed the children - offer to take the children for a walk to the park (she will stress if you drive them anywhere) - just a walk down the road to a nearby park for a couple of hours will be a load off for her. Mind the children at her house, so she can go somewhere. Night time is the WORST time after loosing a husband, it's so lonely - perhaps someone could watch a movie once a week with her down the track. But right now, she needs to know you are all here for her, and any practical help on the ground will be of great value.
I think back to this time when I lost my DH, and it kills me to know Michelle is having to deal with an inhuman amount of pain.
Am going out for a while now, with a heavy broken heart. I'm so sorry dear Michelle. The only comfort right now is knowing that Greg is with your beautiful girl, they have each other. I have PM'd you.
Lee xoxoxo
OK, well if she isn't home yet there isn't much we can do right now but light our candles and keep her in our thoughts. I will make some food though over the next few days and freeze it. Any suggestions or recipes you can send me would help!
Freya, once we know she's home we'll organise something.
Deb - tell her I'm thinking of her and we are here ready when she gets home.
Lee - A special  for you hun. I have been thinking of you too this morning, knowing this must be particularly hard for you knowing exactly what Michelle is going through. I wish neither of you ever had to feel it :(
