I have the opposite problem I think - my girl is 8 nearly 9 years old, and I find her completely enthralling. We have really great debates, I love watching her explore the world around her and teaching her about life in general. The way her mind works fascinates me and I'm so proud to see the happy, well adjusted and generous kid she is.
But I'm also a little daunted - my new husband and I are planning to have a baby together, so I'm about to head back into baby-stage. Does it all come back to you if you've had a big gap between children? Babies seem so little and helpless compared to my robust tall girl it almost feels like I'm starting from scratch again...
I'm excited, but a little nervous too. Is this weird?

Maz, look at what amazing children you have raised, you've given them the building blocks to become amazing teenagers and adults.
You can have baby snuggles with mine any time you want, yes including my cheeky little monkey with the curly hair :)
