    Tiny Tea Party ideas!

DD (who is almost three) got a little tiny tea set from her great grandmother for her birthday (I'm not sure a teeny porcelain tea set is the best present for a three year old but anyway!). I didn't think she would give two hoots about it, but we've just spent the last half an hour drinking 'tea' out of the tiny cups and putting water in the teapot..so she has kind of enjoyed it.
Anyway, got me thinking about having a little tiny tea party with her one day. I probably wouldn't invite anyone, firstly because there are only two cups in it, and any of the other kids we know would only break it.

After some ideas on what 'little' foods we could have, and maybe a special
drink apart from water. She's never been interested in playing with dolls and having tea parties or anything, but she seems to have enjoyed pretending this afternoon with just water so thought it might be nice to do something a bit special with it!

    Little teeny sandwhiches? Mini cupcakes?

For a special drink, fizzy water? Diluted cordial?

Why dont you do a teddybears picnic with some of her teddies if she has any?

DD loves tea parties. You could make pretend food out of playdough. We do that a lot.

    Have fun!

I remember my mum doing this for me when I was a little girl!!!

She used to make little sandwiches and bickies for us admittedly we were about 7 or 8 and she let us have real tea in our teapot, it was awesome. Maybe you could put milo in it for her?

Why not make some mini cupcakes with her in the morning and then sit down for your very own high tea for lunch with little finger sandwiches (peanut butter and vegemite are oh so gormet!!) with the cupcakes for dessert and a hot choc with marshmallow on the side from her tea pot

You could do a very weak camomile tea and tiny jam and cream cheese sandwiches. You could invite Great-Grandma to tea as well so she can see for herself how much your DD in enjoying the gift.

I would but she lives on the Sunshine Coast, which is about 1300ks away!
Love the ideas! Those tic toc biscuit things are so cute! We will take plenty of photos to send to nanny instead might wait for warmer weather so we can do it outside.

mini food that comes to mind for me: Tiny teddies, mini marshmallows, choc drops
I have also seen mini savory biscuits before, a bit like savoy. You would probably find them in the biscuit aisle easily.
Cheese cut into little shapes or cheese sticks sliced up into little rounds, sultanas or cranberries/craisons and gogi berries.

Enjoy, we love mini tea parties in our house. We make layered plates just like in a high tea setting with three plates layered with cups placed in between them.
