    Spaghetti Bacon Dish

This was apparently created by my MIL, and is Professor's all time favourite dish. I am curious to know if there's anything he wouldn't do for this dish

    1kg spaghetti
750g diced bacon (small or large, your choice)
    4 tins diced tomatoes
    3 onions diced
    Lots o' grated cheese

Boil water and cook spaghetti as normal
Fry up the bacon, tomatoes and onions
Once everything is done, layer in a large casserole dish - spaghetti, bacon mix, cheese, spaghetti, bacon mix, cheese
Cook in oven on 180 for 20-30 mins, til all cheese is melted

It's not fancy but it's sooooo yummy! I made this yesterday and it fed 9 adults - large serves, so would probably feed more.

If you see a strange man drooling at your window while you eat it, just tell Professor to come back home already

Oh man! That sounds amazing!! I want, but cannot have. I can't even imagine the calories, it makes me nervous lmao. Damn you 12wbt for making me aware of nutritional content! I might see if I can make a small portion for a treat meal, because I LOVE pasta, bacon and cheese.

I didn't stop to consider the calories PZ but you're right! Perhaps I will make this as a treat once my new bub finally arrives and I can blame the extra calories on breastfeeding hee hee. Not sure how that helps DH to eat it though!

PZ there is a pasta which has next to no calories in it, as in, literally 11 calories per 100g of pasta. This would help hugely with calories in this meal if you want ilk find the name of the pasta and let you know?

It is called Slim Pasta. But it isn't pasta... Hence why it has virtually no calories. LOL

That sounds really similar to something my mil does that she ironically calls spaghetti dish lol she got it from her mil though. It's just spaghetti bacon onion some tomato paste and cream. It's pretty nice and a really quick (albeit not super healthy) dinner or hot lunch

    LOL
It doesn't taste bad. Quite cook actually, but def not pasta! I'll link you up on FB. We were given about 30 free packets of it at the Mind Body Spirit Festival a few years ago. Too exxy to buy from the supermarket though I think.
