The puppy search

We've got a Spoodle (****er spaniel poodle cross) and he's a fabulous dog. He is a bit crazy and hypo at times (even at 6!) but the vet has told us that it is common with spoodles, it's the ****er spaniel in them. Jet's dad was a miniature poodle and his mum an American ****er Spaniel. Jet is a medium sized dog, a fraction taller than a ****er with longer legs (more like a poodle). His coat is amazing and so easy to maintain. We get him clipped 4 times a year to keep him comfy and neat but rarely brush him and he doesn't shed!

I would love a Groodle! I think that's an amazing combo in the world of 'oodles', lol. I'm sure he'll be a brilliant family member. Enjoy!

Glad your first night went well. Poodle are considered one of the smartest breeds in the world so it does not suprise me that he is smart.

We went and met the pointer yesterday. She was super sweet. Very excited at first (understandable after spending a week locked up with only an hours excercise a day) but she calmed down quickly. She was great with the kids, liked a rubber chicken over the ball :). They thought she was about 3 but I would guess more that she is under two. What I don't get is how people can have dogs and give them zero training, it is clear she has none but after 10 minutes I was getting her to sit so she is keen to learn.

My plan all along was to get two dogs but not at the same time. The other dog has had a rough life so far so I wanted some time one on one with him for a few months. But I have always thought the right dog/s will come along when we are ready. Just trying to convince DH that getting both is the right thing to do.
