Missing a pill, what happens?

What has happened when you have missed only one active pill while taking the combined contraceptive pill? Did you get some bleeding as a result? Pregnancy?

If you can remember, what stage of your 'cycle' were you at?

I only started my active pills on Monday and I missed one on Thursday. We DTD on Monday and now I am spotting.

over the years i missed taking one active pill quite a few times. i didn't have spotting or pregnancy as a result. pretty sure i missed them at different stages of my cycle. (clearly i have a horrible memory )

the spotting in your case may just be an adjustment to the pill? i'm not sure but if you just started the active pill, that means you're at the start of your cycle, doesn't it?

Start of the cycle, yep, but I have been on this pill for over a year now so I would think my body would be used to it by now.
I guess I can only wait and see what happens?

Missing one pill isn't an issue. There's enough of the hormones left in your body to keep you protected. Missing more than two pills however... ain't good!

Just make sure you take the missed pill as soon as you remember; even if that means taking two pills in one day (the missed one and the regularly planned one).
