We had a not so great weekend at our house. One of or cat's died, we think it was a snakebite. Nate is way too young to understand anything except the cat is missing. But Angelica keeps on asking 'why'. She has made up her own little story about what happened to the cat, will tell anyone who will listen and then ask 'why' the snake bit the cat, or 'why' he wouldn't wake up, or 'why' something else.

Sorry to hear about your cat Misty :cry::cry::cry: It is hard when children are a bit older and start to ask too many questions. Goodluck with answering them for Angelica.

Looking forward to tomorrow. A good cuppa and chat is just what i feel like at the moment. I am having a litle trouble with Brearna's behaviour at the moment and i am not sure if she is going through the oh my goodness Jaylan is here to stay or something is happening at her father's house. To be honest it is kinda tough at the moment.

Jaylan is capnapping through the day but sleeps most of the night now but whenever i say that he starts to wake through the night again so hopefully i haven't jinxed myself.

I am feeling really tired at the moment and would just love a break and be able to go away on a girls weekend, drink, eat, go to the movies and just not have to worry abotu children for a couple of days. Wow that sounds like heaven...............i will just have to keep dreaming.

Well see you all tomorrow and i am hoping all our new friends are able to join us as well.

My munchkin is doing MUCH better, but still in the midst of paed, physio, dietician, etc appointments. Hopefully things will settle down soon though because we seem to be winning with his treatment and everything is entering the 'maintenance' phase :dance: So maybe next time :crossfingers:

Great catchup yesterday - couldnt believe it when I checked the time and it was 12.45pm!

Anyway, I am going to Mums & Bubs session on Thursday 02/04 at Belconnen to see Duplicity if anyone is interested. Dunno what time it starts yet but is usually the first session of the day so around 10ish.

I live on the Southside and I would love to meet up with other mums. I am not new to Canberra. (I have been here 8yrs). I am hoping to make some friends here as all the friends that I have work and only one has kids. I am starting to go a little insane here at home. I have a 17 month old boy. I would love to meet up anytime!

No worries KJ - just keep an eye on this thread. Next time we might go to Lollipops or somewhere like that so the mums with other kids can relax - poor chepie yesterday didn't have a chance ;)

My son goes to school and daughter in child care on Tuesdays and preschool on Thurs/Fri so I usually just have baby Zander.

Misty on the back of shopadockets there is a buy one entry, get one free for Lollipops until 04/05 - I will try and gather some.

Then if Chepie and KJ can make it you guys can halve the admission or something - and depending if you have Miss B Tracy - we can figure something out to make it as leasst expensive as possible.

I am gunna go out on a limb and propose another day - Tuesday seemed to work well - 28/04??? the two weeks prior are school holidays so is likely to be much busier ....

28/04 sounds good to me. And year I think a play centre would be good to for the older ones.

I am the same as you Sam i couldn't believe the time and how fast it disappeared, i ma thinking next time i will have a 2nd coffee.

The 28/04 i won't have Brearna but i will have her the following week but i am happy either way. I was just thinking of someone for Angelica to play with as they seemed to get along well yesterday.

I agree totally about going to lollipops or somewhere like that so then all of the mums can chat rather than chase their bubs.......i felt sorry for cheapie yesterday but next time it will be better and we can all chat.

KJ we would love for you to join us as the more the merrier. I am on the southside too in Tuggeranong.

Hope you all had a lovely Easter break and the chocolate intake wasn't too bad!!

Just confirming Tuesday 28/04 around 10.30 at Lollipops - I now have 3 buy-one-get-one-free admission vouchers - so I will try and be there right on time, if you are early and need one just loiter - I promise I will not be far away at all :) Otherwise if you are late and we have gone in - just get them to ask me to come up to the counter and we can do the changeover then - you can see from the admission area the tables and people etc.

We are off to Ballarat on Thursday for Zanders baptism this weekend - and just got back from Kiama camping for Easter - washing everywhere, clothes in various states of drying and folding and ironing - and gotta pack it all over again tomorrow :lol:

So I wont be on again for nearly a week - eek!
