What about Thursday next week?? Im open to suggestions for where to meet up... Any ideas? Enclosed parks are best for us as it means I can relax a bit more lol Is there anywhere that is easy for you to get to Tanya? Any time from 10:30 and we will be there :o)
Anna, would be lovely to catch up... I've only met a couple of mum on here and they are lovely... I hate having to get all the little people organised just to drop him at work, so I feel for you :O) Maybe we could organise to catch up one Friday for a coffee minus little people!! Wow, cant even remember last time I did that!!!!!!!! lol
I am definately up for coffee, or lunch or heck even a movie (OMG a movie do they still have those? :lol: ) on a Friday as long as its after 10am as I usually bring the kids back to bed for an hr after drop off and then run them to daycare and madly drive away ;)

As for the IM, I'll let you in on a little secret. One of the Doula's I work with is just about to complete her BMID and will be working as an IM here in Townsville next year. She is about to move down to Adelaide to work along-side another IM for 6 months for some "on the job" experience and then will be practicing up here. :dance: :dance:
I am not sure on when she will be back up here but you might just be in time. I will get back to you if you like.
Have you had any contact from potential clients? Or are you even going to be working now your pg yourself?
Court - Yeah the back is much better today. Slack me did'nt go for the xray though! Was too busy looking at rental properties!
Tanya - I did'nt get to see the link in time as the Mods removed it. Nevermind, i get the gist of what is happening. Now, if it was my DP posting stuff like that, I would castrate him! :redface: I have been through things like this with my partner. He said that it was "just for fun". I totally drilled him and made him feel so small for doing it. They do not take into consideration how you feel when they do dumb $hit like that. As some of the girls said, print it off and confront him with it. Make a big deal out of it!
Cayce- Have you brought the TTC forward??? Did you find the VBAC class helpful?? I certainly did. It totally opened my eyes to the "other side" of birth! I'm really sad to hear some of the experiences women have with c-sects.
Sorry I did'nt welcome Jasmine in my earlier post! So Welcome to Belly Belly Jasmine! I am Sara. 24 y/o mum to Briley (2) and Colby (1). I try and get to the meets that the girls organise but my life is pretty hectic at the moment. I do my best don't i girls! ;)

I like the idea of a gated park though! There are a few ok parks around.

hey everyone, im keen for next thurs in a gated park, doesnt have to be strand... im not really familiar with gated parks around the place so i cant really say, i know there is one in west end, closer to the iga way.. im not sure what its called but theres afew ovals around it..
i had my make over today.. i think it will be okay, i was so far out of my comfort zone i wonder if it will be noticeable!

good Evening Ladies how are we all? I thought id quickly jump on b4 heading to bed, took Indy to the doctors they said its a gastro bug (viral) so see how she goes! OmG the scariest thing happened today i was driving my car home from mums work with my mum in the front my 2 kids in the back and also our neighbours daughter when all off a sudden heard this horrible noise , like id ran over 5 train tracks then lost off control off my car, no brakes, no steering, no exeleration :( scared the **** off me lucky there wasnt any cars close by and i managed to get onto the side off the road and stop it by the hand break, dont no why it did it, but back to the mechanics its going thats too scary with kids in the car!!!!
Anyway Court~ Is Adam still behaving for you, isnt the washing incrediable i dont beleive it sometimes grrrr...
Emma~ what did they do for you tell tell, how excitting i want a make over lol!!
Sarah~ I cant confront him atm as his away for the next five weeks :doh: and we have barely spoken tho he sent me the biggest suck message, saying he doesnt deserve me, he will change blah blah blah...

There is a fenced park near the Nathan street bridge in Aitkenvale, just down from Stocklands. Entre via Kimball St... It a good size for toddlers who can climb but not yet mastered the getting down!! lol Heaps of sand too to play in and grass area for the non-crawlers & crawlers... Would that suit? I went there with a couple of other mum's the other day and the kids had a ball... Let me know what you think.. Hope your all enjoying the sunshine :o)

Sara, OMG so I could end up with a homebirth after all? Let me know whats happening in the future. I guess I could still have a homebirth even if Im booked into an OB/Hospital. No guarantee Id make it to hospital anyway lol
I havent even really started my doula study just been reading and thinking about my comm essay. I cant decide which birth to do and I dont really have any changeable experiences to talk about as I already made changes to my 2nd birth bases on the way my first went. I wouldnt even know where to start in finding clients. Im happy to take on some between 12wks-34wks of my preg and then put a hold on it til Im settled with the boys + baby. I need to start sorting it all out.

Hiya Sara, I did find the VBAC class very helpful and ... not sure of the right words, I guess inspiring to hear other peoples stories, and I guess it instilled a little bit of faith in me that there are people out there who are able to support me through a birth/labour!! I have already recommended it to a couple of people and think I'll be your biggest supporter/advocate lol :dance:
So, yer, I wouldn't say "trying" but not doing anything to not get pregnant for the next 6 wks til he leaves... So fingers and toes crossed but if it doesn't happen then so be it and I'll put it on hold til next Feb when his home again... I think I was really scared to go again with the last 2 experiences but after meeting everyone (doulas) I am defintely going that way.. Gotta run getting kids outta the bath... Husband is supervising :o) See you Thursday?!

anna.... the make over was for the townsville eye magazine that comes out in wed paper.. i think im in next weeks issue or the one after that... im really nervous as the make up was way to colourful for me and the clothes just werent my style.. but i guess it was good to get out of the box.. my hair im still wearing the same atm but if i put in some time to straighten it, it looks unreal.. the bb salon are awesome, they do good stuff there and reasonably priced i reckon..
we're heading to riverway tomorrow.. i never been there before and thats where i had the photo shoot yesterday, didnt realise it had a great big pool and a cafe.. so we're having a family day tomorrow, might take babies for a dip if its warm enough!!

We might come along this week..depending on how the boys are feeling..I had a cold but am getting over it.
Wannabaskinnybinny I had two emergency c-sections in a row and for my 2nd birth I had planned on a VBAC, I had a VBAC info session with a midwife and had hired a doula who had a VBAC herself..but it didnt happen...IF we ever have another bub I will have an elective c-section.
Hopefully get to meet some of you guys this week....Bye for now
Hi Nicola, yer my 2nd was a planned VBAC but nothing that was done via hsp was conducive to that happening... Hated having C-sec, Oscar was born not breathing, had to be resucitated due to me having to have a general so not real keen to do that again! and the whole c-sec is just crap, had drain tube in, felt them getting pulled out, not fun... And the higher infant & Maternal death rates, doesn't really inspire me to have another!!
Anyhoo, can only cross my fingers & toes and put as much in place as I can to have a successful VBA2C...
Would love to meet you so hope u can make Thursday :)

We went to Riverway this am for a family morning out,its really nice there hey, never been there before and the kids just loved it.. but how stupid are we, we forgot the bloody nappy bag and rori done a poo! so our lovely family was cut short but made up for it with hungrys for lunch...
my csect wasnt as dramatic as yours cayce but i still didnt like it, i prefer a natural just for closeness and calmness.. csect was calm but to bright and mechanical..
anyhoo, i best be off, sort kids out and stuff... so 10.30 at which park... sorry i forgot to write it down haha..
and noone got sick from my cooking last night either....
Im definately up for the park on Thursday but 10:30am suits me better too (will put kiddo's back to bed after dropping DH off at 6:30am so my toddler doesnt spack it during the day) as they dont usually wake til 8:45am. By all means start at 9:30 if its better for most I'll just rock up later and see if your all still there. Um how will I know who you guys are??
Seems alot of women are unhappy with their csection experiences and it makes me 1000% more grateful that I have never had to have one even with my crappy pregnancies. My OB's knew theyd have to strap me down to do it if they even suggested it so they worked really hard to avoid it at all costs. Good on you for trying a VBAC ladies!
Cayce, I have a friend up here that is wanting a VBA2C as well, Im giving her a hand with finding Drs, support etc when its time so I'll pass on info to you when I come across it!

Its at I think the park is called Rossiter Park, enter via Kimball Streeet, Aitkenvale... The park is right nxt to the carpark, cant miss it and over looks the River. 10:30 seems to suit everyone, so we will def be there then...

Cool, I just looked it up in the street directory... we need to get a navman soon i think!! pretty easy to get too so should be fun! 10.30.. im hoping the twins would have a nana nap before hand but see how we go.. even they get 20min in the car before we get there would be great, otherwise it will be a short play for us! its so hard to get 2 babies in sync sometimes....
ill be the one luggin heaps of bags and a double stroller!!! ill be driving a black commodore if that helps at all.. which is for sale if anyone knows someone wantng to buy a good reliable car.... its only a yr and a half old.... .....
