Hi Ladies.
Adam is starting to spend longer awake and always wants to be picked up. Makes life difficult as I am struggling to play with Cooper with just one arm but we are getting there. Cooper is so protective of Adam and doesn't like any toys etc near him in case they cover his face.
Emma and Tanya, sorry to hear you are sick. Hope you get better soon.

Thanks for the well wishes ladies! We've had a cruizey weekend, im still a little slow of the mark but we went for a drive to herveys range and stopped by stokies to do abit of shopping for my bday tomorrow!! 28.. geeze i feel older! Twins are in child care for the day so just me and dh which is cool coz we head to groote tues afternoon and we have to get everything ready for my champion sister who has bravely put her hand up to look after all 4 for the two nights we are gone, i cant wait for a mini break. 3 flights to groote and 4 flights home, my ears are going to be hurting bad...
im out for this week for meets, we get back thurs night and i have 9 mini modules i need to finish before nov so i got to get my butt into gear while ben is home, so ill only do meets now when he is away.

Gosh, I hope I can make it this Fri!! 9.30 is perfect for us, my little man is a bit under the weather today, hopefully by Fri he is all better!!! I really want to meet some of you!!! And, I havent been to Lollipops in ages!!!

Have to pike out of Friday, I have relatives arriving from interstate (ARRRR!!) so I am not only in mega big clean mode, but also will have be on my most charming-est hostess with the most next Friday, doing the usual TSVL things. But what do you do? After you take them up Castle hill, there's not much else... Maybe a trip to Billabong?? $$$$???
But next Friday, being school hols, I am fine with catching up.
Then the following Friday I will be up in port douglas... YAY!
I have had a busy but good weekend, kids all came down with boogers and spew, but Nanna was here to save the day!

MWB, some suggestions for tourist stuff in Townsville are Mt Stuart, The Strand, Reef HQ, muesums, Cotters Market & Strand Market and Riverway. That is all I can think of at the moment.

alioops~ Ill leave the actual directions to someone else haha bit lollipops is in Domain Central which is a big area where there is heaps off diff shops, like Bunnings etc! Some1 else help? Im shocking!
Yes and Magnetic Island i would say is a MUST :D my brother is origionaly from Tvll and was posted to Brizzi about 7 yrs ago him and his finence usually come here 1-2 times a yr and everytime they do, we make a day trip to the Island its such a beautiful relaxing place with a beautiful pub with the best veiw, we also go jetskiing everytime :D
Yep, Domain Central is on Nathan Street. I also won't give directions unless you want to end up somewhere else entirely. I am hopeless.
Um, if there is a Yellow Pages in the hotel room, there should be a map of Townsville in there!

we've just dropped the twins of at child care so we're not sure what we're doing today but a yummi quiet lunch is definetly on the cards!! I got woken at 6.30 by dd who made me the most beautiful card and home made paper vase with little paper butterflies, she is so creative!!

Basically from anywhere in the city you need to get onto sturt st and follow that all the way onto wool**** st to the right and follow it up to dalrymple road which is a left turn and as you drive up you will come across nathan st....you want to turn right and basically take the 3rd entrance into domain central which is on your left, you cant miss it..sat nav's are great!!! please dbl check a map book though.
Also use are going on a great day the shop next door, BABIES GALORE!!, opens thursday :)
Anyway not much happening here, lucas wasnt well yesterday so missed out on the apex thing, lachlan would have loved it. DH was on guard saturday so it was a very slow day for me and loonnggg night!

Hey, I'm a new girl! Just to introduce myself! (think I have spoken to a couple of you).
Have just moved to Townsville from England and first baby due in Jan. Am terrified!! Thought it would take me years to make some friends here, but its nice to see that so many of you have been in the same boat. My partner grew up on Magnetic Island and moved to England 5 years ago (thats how we met) and we have just moved to Townsville together (with bump!) Dont know a single person here yet! Have been following boyfriend round like a puppy cos I havnt had the opportunity to make some girly friends yet since we got here! But u all seem lovely, so hopefully will change and he can have a bit of space :rolleyes:
Your meet-ups sound like loadsa fun! Will have to come along once baby is here! What's lollipops?? lol. Did try and read through thread to get to know some of ya, but then realised there are 18 pages (plus part 1)!! so gave up quite quickly :) Introductions would be great!

Helania, feel free to come to the meet-ups before bubs comes along. We try to organise something every week or so, Always love to chat to anyone. Lollipops is a kids cafe. It has enclosed play equipment for kids from 1 years old so is great for the littlies.
i am a stay at home mum with a 2 year old and a very noisy 4 week old.
Better go. Something has died in Adam's nappy (or at least that is what it smells like LOL!)
Anna, let me guess, did they send you there too? yep, our house wont be ready till the 26th so we are staying at quest until then.
I do have a GPS on my mobile but having never been to QLD before this is a tiny bit scary!! I have only learnt my way around Adelaide by getting lost a few times. I still dont know much about the northern suburbs, but hey, they are up to 2.5 hours away from 1 end of Adelaide to the other!
I should be able to put the shopping centre name into my phone and get directions that way. how far is it from the quest? If i can walk it that will be awesome coz my car wont arrive till the 24th!! unless there is a bus that goes that way? The truck is coming and taking all our stuff up tomorrow so Next time I log in I will either be in the hotel here, or in townsville!
