Hi ladies. Seems like everyone is enjoying the cold. I love it. Being a Melbourne girl, I feel right at home.
Emma, good luck with the garage sale.
Cooper had his pre-admission appointment at the hospital today for his surgery next week. They were only 20 minutes late. I was so excited. Am I strange?
Speedbump is still very happy where s/he is so is unlikely to be born soon. Even my GP is starting to think I will be overdue.

Good morning ladies, another cold one Brrrr...Bring on Summer!! How is everyone this morning? All good here a little tired am having some problems with DS, it started about a week ago his been funny at bed time, he will not sleep in his own bed it has to be mummys bed, and i dont no why!:dunno: And this morning when leaving for kindy (he goes with my mum and is always so excitted to see Nany) he kept crying for me! Something is wrong with him but im not sure what...has any1 had this?
-
It has been very quiet on this thread lately!
I'm still waiting for Speedbump to join the family but everything is progressing well anyway. Am getting some back pain and Bump is fully engaged so fingers crossed.
Cooper is in for his surgery tomorrow on his undecended testicle. Ian still is having trouble with the whole idea and has asked a few times if I am sure it needs to be done. Aren't men funny?
Mummy19, I have been going through the same thing with Cooper in the last couple of weeks but I think that is because he knows something is up and life is going to change for him in a fairly big way. It is a bit scary and he wants me for everything. Has Xav settled down yet?
-
Hey it is quiet in here hey? Are all you guys still doing meets and stuff, shouldnt be too much longer till i get my P's im hoping by next month fingers crossed! Xav is still being a terra and sleeping in our room on a matress i have to sleep with him till he goes to sleep then i climb into my bed, i dont no why his doing it :(, its getting hard tho! I hope Coopers surgery goes well, im sure it will! And not long now till bub arrives how excitting
-
oh and can any1 tell me how i change my ticker? PLease
-
Meets have been a little spotty lately due to sickness, people being away etc but they should get started again soon. I can't do it this week as it will be Cooper's recovery day and next week I have an appointment with the hospital as I will be overdue. I am so sure that this bubs will be late. if I go into labour within the next week or so, I'll probably pass out from shock!
I noticed Xav is only a couple of months older than Cooper. Has he got his 2 year molars yet? Could he be getting more teeth? Cooper's sleep is always disturbed and he gets very clingy when he is teething, especially the big ones. Has there been any changes around the house, like extra visitors, someone staying with you? Has he been scared somehow? Has Indy been taking more of your time even? Those are really the only things I can think off. Not very helpful as I am sure you have thought of all of these anyway.
If you want a ticker, you can either get one off the BB site or google the other sites available. To get a BB one, there is a tab at the top of the screen (3rd one in). Press it and go through the steps. You need to copy and paste the ticker into your signature and save it. Should show up then. HTH.
-
Hey thanks for the reply we havent really had much changed, and i dont no if his been scared nothing that i can think off ! But it may be the whole Indy think he does get a lil jelouse but loves her to death! I dont think he is teething those molers yet i dont no whats wrong with him :(! Once i get my P's i would love to meet all you ladies! I hope for you that you dont go over, just start trying to bring it on hehe ;) and how excitting that you dont no what your having! thats awesome, i dont no if id have the strength to do that but would love to have a surprise if i ever have another baby!
and ill try the ticker thanks

My DH is the old-fashioned type so he didn't want to know. As he said, he doesn't care. We are blessed to have kids in his opinion. I didn't want to know the first time round but I did this time for some reason. Both pregnancies I was very sure that they were/are boys. Don't know what I'll do if its a girl. Burst into tears of joy I suppose. I would love a girl but a boy would be fantastic too.
We will definitely have to organise a meet-up soon. Have you booked in for your P's yet?
-
morning ladies...
CoutRach- Thats a great way to look at it hehe, kids are a blessing, but if i didnt no wat i was having id fell like i was carrying around a present that i wasnt allowed to open, id want a little peek hehe temptation would kill me! i havent booked in for my P's yet as i dont have enough hrs thats all thats holding me back grrrrrrr!!
-
Hiya Ladies,
I live in Townsville too. I have 3 x darlings, 1 at prep, and CourtRach and Mummy19 - looks like we have bubs around the same again (terrible 2's!)
I'd love to get out of the house again, my best mummy-friend just decided to go back to work and my DH suggested I try to make some new friends as I miss her, and our mummy mornings. Do you meet up often? My 2 bubs are in daycare Mon and Thurs, free every other day...
Is everyone enjoying the cold (NOT!)
Best bit - snuggling under doona...
Worst - trying to find PJ's with all buttons on! ARGH!
Alright, better go and get some GRRR housework done...
-
Hi MissWingBat..Welcome :hello:..I am a sahm too and it gets so very lonely!! :( very hard for me atm tho as i dont have my P's just yet so cant drive unsupervised, not long now tho i hope yippee!! Then we will all have to arrabge a meet so i can meet every1 too
-
Mummy19, you sound so much like my sister. She always had to rip the corner off her Christmas presents so she could see what they were.
Welcome, MissWingBat, love the user name. We usually meet up on a Thursday but I'm happy to change or even add a day to get me out of the house. I will do almost anything to avoid housework!! May change my mind when Speedbump arrives though.
Mummy19, is there a park close to you that you can walk to? We could meet there. Or even the closest shopping centre.
-
Hiya Ladies,
Thanx for the warm welcome. The username is because I have ears that are pointy like tinkerbell, and my DH calls me WingBat... :)
I am cool for either Weds or Fri's. I love to get out of the house (and housework too!)
BTW, there is a cool thing for kids coming up at Queens Gardens (Kirwan). I went last year with my bubs and we got free toothbrushes and stuff. The kids really enjoyed it - and it was FREE! I will be going with mine again this year just to get out!

Hi Roalston, welcome :) love the "domestic engineer" thing have to remember that one lol!
-
Hi Roalston. Yep, that's me. No twins that I know of. Now that would be scary!! Welcome to the chat.
Cooper is recovering so well from his surgery. You wouldn't even know he had it (except that he said "doodie still there?". That was so funny).
My mum and dad are arriving today. Yahhhh!! They have taken 8 weeks off work to do some travelling but are going to use us as a base. I am so excited as we are quite close and I miss them. I am such a mummy's girl!! *rolling eyes*
Friday would be the better day for a meet as I usually go to playgroup on Wednesday. Any suggestions?
