Townsville Mums #3

hi everyone

thanks for the notice of the gastro etc..we went swimming on monday arvo at riverway and monday morning at the waterpark...Zander was at daycare yesterday and he seems fine at the mo...I dont think there was any mention of it there????

I think im going to avoid taking the boys out this week to the supermarket/shopping in general......people dont wash there hands enough and stuff gets spread all the time...everytime we get home from being out I wash my hands

a couple of months ago we ended up at townsville hospital because Zander gashed his head open at the back and we were waiting in emergency for about 20-30mins holding a towell over the bleeding before we got seen to get stitches...they are very understaffed/over worked/not enough room etc I wouldnt go in unless it was serious....my mums a child health nurse so Im always ringing her first before seeking medical help...but if Im unsure I always go to the doctor just for precaution rather than leave it

there is nothing worse than the pain and worry of your child being sick or hurt..it rips your heart out:heartbeat:

I think Im a bit emotional at the mo...:)

also Ali - if I get preg in the next couple of months we would have a nearly 3 and nearly 2 year old and a baby...thats why Im not totally sure yet

Aw Nicola we would most likey have been at the water park at the same time on Monday :o cuz we were there in the morn then went to riverway LoL..
anyway some off us are going to the park tomorrow Rossita (the one off ross river) gated park...if any1 wants to come along ;)

OMG ladies just have to vent have any of you ever come across some really bad "apples" its becoming ridiculous!!

I am really getting over the rotteness coming out after a period of time....

Has anybody had pregnancy photo's done in tville? Who with and were they reasonably priced?

Seeing as this is last baby Ive decided to commemorate with some preg pics. Just need to find someone decent and make a booking for January. Thanks girls!

oh and i was really meaning apples lol, buy them 3 times a week from same shop and they are going black in the centre :( oh well DS1 has moved onto watermelon haha!!

Anna~ I was recently looking at photographers to do pics off the kids and in most off the places galleries they had preggy pics and they were so gorgeouse :D im deff getting em done next time, so my suggestio is too google townsville photographers and view galleries and see who u think does the best work and go from there, but off the top off my head Portraits To Go, does nice ones! Good Luck and let me us no who you go with :).
OK im out time to clean my room have had Indy sleeping in there over the weekend as we were painting her room but now she is back in hers and mines a mess yay.

I get really peeved with the bread here. I buy a supposedly 'fresh' loaf and within a day its stale and mouldy. Drives me nuts as we eat alot of bread.

oh i know its terrible i bought 2 loafs the other day and they were mouldy a day later...stupid humidity it kills everything! we have taken to freezing our bread take it out as we need it..only i didnt the other day cause freezer full of fish ..YUKK!!

Oh ladies does anyone know of a good place to get nails done, im not looking for now but when i get back.....doesnt have o be a popular place even someone at home etc.....

oh and tanya we aren't going to the park this thursday :( we have a birthday party to go to..so week after for us :) but will no doubtedly talk to you before then anyway

I have no idea about nails Shauna but I would definately recommend getting gel vs acrylic. Ive been meaning to get mine done (esp my toenails) for ages. I'll let you know if I find anywhere decent.

Hmm might have to start freezing our bread. Or buy a breadmaker lol

Shauna- I heard that nail place in K-Mart is good. Haven't been there myself but thats just what I heard.

Anna - Have you seen the Friends of the Birth Centre calendar for 2009? The woman who took all the photos in that does pregnancy and birth photography. Her name is Grier Camac. You preview the calander on the Friends of the Birth Centre Townsville website.

Tanya - Yeh there is a group that does meet on Thursdays aswell but I was hoping some of the Belly Belly ladies would like to meet up aswell. Esp since I can't make it to the Friday meets anymore.

I have seen the calendar Sara but I didnt realise she did photography for any old person, she does great work so I'll give her a buzz!

Id love to come thursday but I cant. Would love to catch up with you all soon though, maybe an alternate day to thurs or friday?

Shauna~ the place in k-mart i think its called nail lovers do a nice job thats were i normally go and my mum goes there all the time they also do lovely nail art and i think they charge $50 for a full set off acrylics!

And im usualy free everyday except Thursday Friday cuz we already have meets LoL:lol:

Just a quick note to say MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR.

We are off to Melbourne on Wednesday and tomorrow is going to be a flurry of packing etc.

I doubt I will have access to internet while we are away so have fun during the Christmas holidays.

I agree bout the fruit and veges here. I have no ends of trouble as I like to only go to the sjops once a week, but if you dont eat the fresh fruit and veg in a few days it is rotten!! And bread - I freeze mine also.

Well....will check back in to see if anyone had ideas where to meet Thurs! Spose to be doing an assignment so I better pull my finger out. Have to work tomorrow so today is my cleaning day also. God, I betta stay off the comp!!!!
