    Default Recommendations please

    Hi guys,

    As I mentioned in a previous post my Designer Bums are beginning to frey and I may have to look at a new brand of nappies. I was considering BGs but I was wondering what else would meet my requirements. My boy is tall and very thin so we've found the following requirements work best.

    We are looking for:
    * snaps on the rise
    * velcro fastner

    Do you use anything that meets these requirements?

    I used green kids with both my girls. They have velcro fasteners but not snaps on the rise. Both my girls are serious skinny minnies (both legs and bums/hips) and they worked really well for them - no leaks etc. I didn't start on mcns until DD1 was about 7 months, but DD2 used them from about 2 months. Both were in them until TTing.

    I have a green kids nappy that I'm happy with.

    TotsBots FlexiWrap. I think that's what they're called. Not a true pocket, because the insert is attached, but it folds down into a pocket ITMS. The absorbency isn't amazing, so I'd add an insert to bulk it out.

    IssyBears? I don't know much about them, really, but check them out?

    Oh yeah the one Audax mentioned - I think it's the Tots Bots Easy Fit.

    The flexi wrap is just a cover. I use them over my fitteds.

    I have tall thin kids. I wasn't a huge fan of BGs because at the time I was using them they only used microfibre inserts....bad for a big wee'er. Nor did they last as long elastic wise as my other nappies.

    Minilala are similar - didn't like the cotton outers as they wicked
    Happy Heinys- cheap and nasty though
    Issy bears - these were my favourite of all three brands but they are bulky.

    For my tall skinny kids I found side snapping AI2s made with bamboo the best.

    Thanks guys. A few things to check out. I'm particularly after snaps on the rise as I have one nappy without these snaps (Candies) and it just doesn't fit well around the legs, so GKs probably won't work for us.
