I'm guessing girl too, but that's totally uneducated! Just what it looks like to me ;)
(At our morph scan we were told that she thought girl but she said, 'keep your receipts. Just because I couldn't see a penis doesn't mean there isn't a surprise one there', LOL!)
I hope it's ok, I have emailed the link to BIL who is a sonographer to see what he reckons. I'm impatient to know too... And it's not even my baby ROFL!!! Don't know if I missed your announcement, did I? If so, huge congratulations to you, Trish :D

Im definately definately thinking boy... It doesnt really look anything like what my little girl was... No expert here but thats my guess!! :)

I can't really make any guesses because It really is to hard to tell from your photos. But at 12 weeks I wouldn't guess because I was told by my doctors that from 18weeks onwards is when you can start telling the sex so to be sure I would wait so that you dont make yourself think you know what you are having :lol:

Serenitylee - It's definitely hard to tell by the photos! I know it's easier to tell later, but I know quite a few people who were told at 12 weeks and the gender was correct :). The sonographer *seemed* to hint to DH & I about there being no boy bits IYKWIM. I definitely won't rush out and buy pink or blue until I have the later scan!!
Goodluck! I have been tempted to find out but am keeping it a suprise! I decided after all my hard work when the baby is born I want a little suprise at the end of it :lol:

Hey Trish, BIL says looks like girl to him. But I didn't tell him gestation and he guessed around 17 weeks... So perhaps it's not such a reliable guess, LOL!
I'm thinking odds are in favour of girl though! :)

Well, at this stage it looks like it *could* be a girl, not too much longer and we'll know for sure (if bub co-operates at the next scan ;)). If it is a girl DH had better look out, I love buying girl's clothes LOL! If it is a boy we have such a cool name picked out so it's win/win :lol:.
Ooooh, if it's a girl (and it IS) can you donate your boy's name to me??!! LOL, we are sooooo screwed on boys names!
LOL, I wouldn't be too worried - just like guessing how old you are from a photo - it is just a guess. And yes! You will know for certain very soon - how exciting!:
I am a shocker for clothes too... And I already have hand-me-downs from Natty! I just can't help myself ;) There are some adorable things out there.

Sangie - Boys names truly are the hardest! I can think of heaps of girls names I love.
Snacks - I'd have been amazed if he actually could tell the gestation without you telling him! This bub is measuring ahead of dates so I really am prepared for a big one!

I can't believe you've got names sorted already. Although we're pretty sorted for girls names, it's always boys we can't agree on :rolleyes:
BTW, have I mentioned lately HOW excited i am that we're doing this together again??!! Hopefully our babies will only be about 3 weeks apart allowing for my tendency to go over :rolleyes:, in any event, I'm gonna crash your baby buddies thread again - LOL!
Our scan is next week and I still want to know but DH is still adamant that we won't - so I'll have to live vicariously through you!!
Willow - We still haven't come up with a middle name if it's a boy, but we love the first name! I wasn't going to think about names until we new for sure what we are having, but I stumbled across it and fell in love. I'm so excited we get to go through this together again too! Hooray for sympathising about cr@p sleeping and the like again when our bub's arrive LOL! Oh, and you'd better crash my thread ;)

at my 13 week scan she told me "as far as I can tell it's a boy but they will have to have another look at the 20 week scan" and guess what it was :) They should have been able to tell you!

I had a look at your scans, very cute by the way :), but it's kinda hard to say at the moment, especially at 12 weeks. I think it looks like a girl, as many others have said. But it might (might) be the beginning of uh...male growth. But I'm leaning towards a girl more than a boy anyway. Best wait a few more weeks!

missymoo84 - That's so cool they could tell you at your 13 week scan! The sonographer said he wasn't allowed to tell me, but DH & I think he hinted that it is a girl. We could be wrong though!

Based on the toilet burger shot I have here, I would say girl. That said, at 23 weeks, my baby would NOT uncross their legs (making the sonographers confidence on that very iffy), stuck their arm in their face every time the sonographer tried looking at it, and attacked the scanner every time she paused to take a photo or count bones. So I am inclined to agree mine is a girl based entirely on its atypical family female difficult behaviour.
Thus, I believe yours also to be a girl based on that first US!
