    No symptoms and getting anxious

    Hi there,

I'm almost 5 weeks pregnant after TTC for 16 months. We conceived by IVF. I terrified something is wrong.

I don't have any pregnancy symptoms, apart from occasional cramping - which is getting less now. I don't have sore (.)(.), well they were slightly sore a couple of days ago and now they just feel normal. I'm worried these things mean that the little one has stopped growing. I have scan at 6 weeks and I'm terrified that there won't be a heart beat.

My HCG was about 444 on the day of my preg BT and two days later (2 days ago) it was 1100. I'm considering pestering the clinic for another BT just to check.

What do you make of my no symptoms, including no sore (.)(.). Should I be worried?

    Hi Lisa

    Firstly congratulations on your pregnancy!!

It's quite normal with a lot of pregnancies to not have any symptoms straight up, it's not neccessarily a bad thing at all! I know quite a lot of women who had no symptoms til around the 8 week mark and went on to have beautiful, healthy babies!

If u feel it will do good for your peace of mind, perhaps ask for another blood test, but I'm sure everything will be fine

    Hi Lisa,

Congratulation hun on your pregnancy! I know it's so easy to worry when you first get that long awaited BFP. I had two IVF cycles, the first one with Joshua I had no symptoms what so ever except cramping in the first two weeks after my transfer. No morning sickness, no sore boobies. I had a late term miscarriage but it was due to a large fibroid in my uterus, so nothing to do with him or the pg developing abnormally or anything like that. If I had the fibroid removed prior to me doing the cycle, Joshua would have been OK most likely. With my second baby Cameron, which was a frozen transfer, I had no pg symptoms until week 6 or 7, I think, with him I had m/s till week 17. Every pg is different hun, so try not to worry too much. Cramping is good as that's the embryo attaching to the wall in your uterus.
GL hun and I wish you smooth sailing and a H&H pg!!!

    B.

with DD i had very little symptoms until i was 7 weeks. the only symptoms i had were crazy mood swings (poor dh lol). bbs were never sore and m/s only kicked in (and then only vaguely) at around the 7 week mark and disappeared at 10 weeks...

i reckon pregnancy symptoms are so unique to each pregnancy, and what might be someone's sore bb's might be another persons tiredness; and being 5 weeks there is still plenty of time for stuff to kick in...

the cramping is a good sign and like beata mentioned is a sign that bubs is getting comfy and the uterus is growing...all positives and no doubt the other more 'preggy' symptoms will start to kick in now that bubba is settling in for the long haul.

I have been pregnant 4 times now. I never had symptoms before 6-7 weeks and after that only tiredness until about 12-13 weeks. No morning sickness at all. In fact, the only time I had any ill-feeling was with the pg that ended with a blighted ovum. You might just be one of us lucky broads with trouble-free pregnancies. Best of luck !

Firstly CONGRATULATIONS!!!, I am so pleased it worked for you.
I didn't really have symptoms until after 6 weeks, my nausea still isn't that bad and my (.Y.)'s still don't hurt, and have only just started getting a little bigger.
    I was just really tired.
Your HCG is good, so try not to worry, scan will be here soon for your first sneak preview,
    take care

Huge Congrats!! My symptoms started around 7 weeks and some women get no symptoms at all (besides the expanding belly) so try not to stress, you may just be lucky! I wouldn't wish morning sickness on anyone, it was hell!

    Best of luck!

Thanks everyone for your quick responses. I'm beginning to feel more 'normal' and my anxiety is reducing. It's so helpful to speak to people who have been there or who are there. I appreciate you taking the time to reassure me.

Cass & Butterfly - I remember you both from the 6+ month thread. Hope all is going super for each of you.

As other posts have indicated each pregnancy let alone each person seems to be different - with my first I had symptoms before 4 weeks (not that I knew what they were until after) with my third I rushed to the doc at 6 weeks because there was no sign of anything other than a positive POAS. Hopefully given what you have to go to to get your BFP you are one of the lucky ones who gets very few symptoms other than the growing belly or that any that develop only stick around for a short while. Congratulations and best wishes for your pregnancy.
