Good to hear!
You seem much more relaxed so it sounds like it was a comforting visit :-)
Hey Ash,
I just had something very similar.. I'm at 4weeks 5 days.. for the last 3 days I had worsening sharp pains on the left where my ovary is. Eventually it got really severe (like someone put a knife in me!) and went to see my gyno. He did an internal ultrasound scan and told me that the tube looked ok although he couldn't see the embryo anywhere yet as it's too early.
Good signs: the pain isn't constant it comes and goes, there's no bleeding.
I was reassured that this is probably just normal, sometimes sharp pains can be ok apparently. I have to go to emergency if the pain comes back really bad, doesn't want to go away AND I'm bleeding. But until then I was told to just take it easy. I'm also having two blood tests next week to check pregnancy hormones, apparently they rise differently with ectopic... for just further info.
So yes, really sharp nasty pain apparently can be normal. Hope yours gets checked out and it turns out to be just fine.
cheers,
Niko

Glad to hear you were checked out and it was nothing more serious!
Thanks very much for letting me know - I was given pretty much the same advice - here's to no more sharp pains for either of us!!! Lol
Ps welcome to BB ;)

I've been getting the same thing hun, I've actually had it with all my pregnancies and it's been the corpus luteum (cyst the egg came from) that has been causing it. This pregnancy it has been worse and I think it may have even ruptured this time as I have a lot of tenderness on that side, I even went to emergency on thursday just gone because it got so bad, I have to keep an eye on it until my scan on thursday in case it gets worse again.
Hope it goes away for you soon!
