Yes definately possible, always happens when you least expect it!!!!
With my last DD we tried for 18 months before we got our BFP and with a little help from a FS, to get my cycle to the right length, was told my poor response to treatment was because I was pre menopausal.
When she DD was 9months old my DH was booked for a vas, we had a mix up with dates and he missed his appointment (but had vas sex the night before JIC it never worked again:lol: poor DH, thinking there was'nt a chance in H#LL of getting BFP and by that stage not wanting either, finally got my head around the vas) I had only had my period back for 3 months and very irregular I had been having it every 2 weeks, then I had a 21 day cycle and then I had a cycle that went forever, about the same time I had a strong urge to change my avvy to all pink and girly and some strange food cravings, then I started to feel mild MS I just knew I was BFP, was'nt overlly surprised to see 2 lines come up, but did'nt stop me from feeling mixed emotions which continued for some time, anyway I am 19 weeks pregnant with a baby girl, maybe thats why I was feeling all pink and girly and needed the avvy change????
Goodluck I really hope you are, it seems to me that when the pressure of trying is off is when it works the best, I guess why loads of girls have a natural BFP after an IVF baby.
Hoping so for you xox
Ooooh Lorelle. You have to tell us when you find out anything. I am so curious now.
 Me thinks.......YOU ARE. Bring it on baby. Yeah!
It sounds like ovulation (unless you've missed a period?). Good luck, look forward to hearing on an update after you've been see your gp.
... yeh, Jodi ... i reckon it's ovulation too, just doing it in a different way to anything i have experienced i guess !!
Darn ol' bod playing tricks on me ... be nice if i got the last laugh for a change, LOL ;)
Like i said to Maz ... i'm overwhelmed by everyone's positive response as when i was preg with my DD (i gave birth at 39yrs & 4mths) the OB's i came across were so negative towards me, yeh purely based on my age  .... So, heartfelt thanks to you all as i found that very touching.
As Maz mentioned i have been through a lot of late (my young SIL passing away) & maybe it's my body letting out hormones of a different kind with the stress of grieving or something ... Whatever the outcome is i'm fine with it as i have gone a fair way into the emotionally transition that my little Fam is complete now :D ... My DD just rocks my world with so much love & laughter :pigtail:
... Now i feel bad if i let you ' ALL ' down if it's a neg, hope all of you will like me still, LOL ;)
My mum's mum was fifty when she had her, so you're a spring chicken. ;)
When Maz sees a crow it means someone she knows is pregnant....... No crap either. She's spot on.
Well it would be a lovely surprise for you so I hope the answer is yes!!!
I've been having a little hormonal crisis here myself the last month and more. Somethings up with me and I've come to the conclusion it's hormonal, the tip off was the sore boobies (which I NEVER get). The thing that confuses me is I"ve had the Mirena in for 16months now and that's a constant release of hormone....I can't think what's suddenly changed?!! I was thinking I was pg too (and I was excited with DH cr@pping himself) but I've since had two neg POAS and the sore bb's disappeared in the week.
Sorry for my crash....but I just wanted to share my hormone/body/reproductives are doing weird ***** too....it's freaking me out!!! :D
All the best hun!

one for sorrow
two for joy
three for a girl
four for a boy
and i forget the rest of the poem about crows ....
c'mon test !! and i hope your well woman check up goes well !
Of course you could be. If you are still ovulating you could get pregnant. Some women lose their fertility far earlier than others do. You've already "proved" yourself capable of having a baby later than most do, so it's entirely possible.
If you cycle has been a bit different then it is also possible that you could be having a shorter cycle as well as longer ones.
I too have found my cycle is changing - but mine is going shorter. I recently had a 20 day cycle which I've never experienced in my life (I'm 43). Perhaps you are experiencing a shorter cycle too which of course would mean you have already O'd & could be pregnant.
Some doctors are all doom & gloom about older mums. The first OB I saw at 41 told me I'd be in bed from 30 weeks as I was bound to need bed rest from all the complications I'd get. I switched OBs & the new one treated me just the same as the young ladies as he didn't believe I was at that much higher risk (apart from abnormalities of course). I didn't get any pregnancy complications at all (just slight birth ones) & worked full time right up to 37 weeks. I found it interesting that it was the female OB that was negative. I would never have expected that.
Anyway, I've rambled on enough. Good luck with it all. I hope you get the result you want.
Lorelle, I truly hope you get the answer you're looking for!!
Let us know how you go hun

best of luck, I hope you have a wonderful surpise very soon, if not tomorrow in 2 weeks... as it does sound like ovulation too me...
you never know when we give up TTC is the time our body lets us concive...
Becstar ... thanks heaps for sharing, so great to know i have a BB pal to ' feel ' weird with, LOL ;) ... yeh, the two OB's i saw were both men ... looked at me like i was some criminal for having my 1st born bub at 40, also they kept verbally reminding me of what age i was (like i had forgotten) ... Well, my two beautiful midwives that saw me all through my entire pregnancy were cheering for me ... My pregnancy was just amazing, i drove everyone insane as i loved being preg so much, infact i told the midwives when i was 38weeks when standing in queue waiting for my appt that i wish i had two more months, needless to say the preg woman standing around me heard what i said & looked at me like i must be nuts.
All i had was HBP (due to being an older expectant Mum) & that was it ... i went onto have a drug-free vag birth (i only went 2days overdue). My midwives treated me like some goddess on the maternity wing, was very funny :D
Satya ... sorry to say BUT it's soooo NICE to know i'm not the only 43year old on the BB block, harr harr ... (lets not tell everyone being in ya 40's sux, let 'em all find out for themelves ... So, frustrating having a heart like a 20something & the inside body works of a 40year old woman, LOL i've gotta laugh or i will start crying) ;)
Trish ... that's so kind & sweet, i wuvz you too :heartbeat:
Oh smiles4u, I do hope it will be a positive for you....if not, of course still love you...are you still on Sharkey's?
... hi ya Cuddlepie :hello:, ... nah, i stopped Sharkey's only this past July when we had decided to no longer TTC ... i'm still a massive fan of Sharkey's as you know my story they helped my 10years of irregular cycle become a 28day one, just that was a miracle ... but the past few months my cycle has become irregular again which is kind of what i expected as i have been through some emotional experiences of late ... THANKU Cuddlepie for remembering (i think of you often here :heartbeat:) xoxox
(i still take Folate each day, that's all now ... i guess just peace of mind just incase !!)
When do you think you will test hun? You have everyone wondering, and wanting to know the outcome. hehehe. Goodluck, it would be such a lovely surprise. hugs
Lorelle - I didn't want to jinx you with my bad luck last night so I didn't post but just know that I'm hoping with every ounce of my being for a big fat ole positive for you.
And I hope whatever the result is, you keep in mind we all love you whether you have one child or 8.
