Deanne, Hoping and praying you have some wonderful news to share with us ver y soon xo
Still waiting...
Looks like we may have to wait a little longer. I rang the clinic as I was getting a little impatient and the receptionist goes on to tell me that I have only been waiting 6 days not 10 and it takes 10 to 14 buisness days and that we should know NEXT WEEK!
The specialist told me 10 days, everything says within 14 days/fortnight, a fortnight is not counted in buisness days... if it is 10 buisness days why did the specialist say 10 days!
I am a little angry or maybe upset at the moment. Do I really have to believe that it might be another 10 days?!
I have just looked back at Matildas paperwork and her test was done on Dec 20th, final results were recieved on Jan 3rd, a total of 14 days.
My guess is that I could be waiting until maybe Friday... hopefully no longer.
As I saw in a post of Nae's earlier today 'when it rains it pours'... in my life at the moment it really is pouring, this pregnancy/CVS stuff is only part of it :(.
I want to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers, I was so overwhelmed logging in to see the amount of messages of support for me today.
Thankyou all so much :grouphug:.
Argghghhhhhh how frustrating babe!!!!
Hopefully they get it done super early (for them!)
Sweetheart it isn't business days that's crappola... Ring up and ask to speak to the specialist. It takes a second for the results to be faxed or emailed through. I would be demanding more if it were me.
This is so hard for you - I wish I could take some of this angst away...
I hope you don't have too long to wait, hun. Not knowing is just awful and I can't believe the receptionist wasn't more empathetic for your situation.
 ohhh hun, I am so sorry you have to wait longer:hug:
I would do what Flowerchild suggested and ring the specialist and get the results faxed (assuming everything has been completed) such a difficult time for you wish there was something I could do to help cheer you up .....
 Thinking of you - I hope that you don't have to wait too much longer
Ahgg how frustrating and upsetting for you!! Hopefully it doesn't take as long as they say!
hunni, im so sory that u have to wait a little longer.
But we are all here waiting with you.
Hi DD
It's not business days. It takes that long for testing because they have to wait for enough cells to grow so they can check them out. Cells don't work on the business calendar.
Hope its not too much longer,
take care,
Kate
I had a very similar thing happen to me when I was awaiting Amnio results. I know it is so very stressfull waiting.
What I did was contact the Dr who did the amnio directly and got him to get me the name of the person doing the test and contact details. I then called, every single day. They were very understanding about me calling. I just hated waiting and if I called every morning at least I wouldn't spend the entire day by the phone.
Fingers crossed its sooner rather than later.

Kate that is just what I said, what the cells stop growing over the weekend and clock back on on Monday! Silly girl!
I have decided that I will (try) to wait until Wednesday or Thursday and if I haven't heard anything I will call and request to speak with the specialist.
I might just mention to him also that he should speak with his receptionist as she is giving out incorrect information and causing added stress in an already difficult time, for me, as I had my test on a Friday, this would of added an extra 6 days (Saturdays and Sundays) to my waiting, that is an extra week, that is the last thing you want to hear, especially if it is not true.
I am feeling a bit stressed tonight, just to think I am naturally a patient person, they are testing that aren't they?
Just about to settle down for a dose of Home and Away  and a cup of tea.
Hopefully it isn't to much longer.
awww hun  i hope its not too much longer for you
Awww sweetie.
I've just sent a prayer to the universe to try to hurry things along.
We're all waiting with you! :grouphug:
Thinking of you D xx
Thinking of you as you wait...
Oh Daintree, I'm so sorry you are still waiting to get the results. I'm hoping and praying like crazy that you get them soon. And dont forget, we're all here, holding your hand, and waiting with you :grouphug:
I think 10 days is pretty common for the results. I'm pretty sure mine were in right on 10 days & from memory I had to call to get them. It's so annoying when the receptionist carries on like that. I remember getting really angry with the one at my OB's office because she told me my FISH results might take 2 days when I'd been told by the OB who did the test that the results would be through to my OB the following day without fail. Sure enough they came through as predicted.... just a couple of hours after the 24 hours was up. Unfortunately I just don't think those ladies have any idea of what it's like to wait for such results therefore they just don't know how to handle our anxious queries well.
Another day down and still no news :(.
Tomorrow is day 12, I am going to call the clinic and ask to speak with the specialist.
I had a horrible night last night and then again this morning due things other than this, I would really love to vent but I do not wish to post it all over the internet, I just wish that some people would use their brains and have a heart. I was so angry. Argh, I wish I could go into more detail!
Anyway, hopefully I will get some kind of news tomorrow, even if it is just a confirmation from the specialist that I will have the results no later than Friday, I hate to think that I might have to wait a 3rd weekend.
 for some real news tomorrow.
hugs hun thinking of you.
If you post in plat area its more private if you need to vent!
thinking of you as you wait.
xoxoxo
 hun this must be so hard for you
oh hun. i hope you get your news tomorrow and i hope its not as bad as expected. my heart goes out to you.
Hi DD
Did you see a genetic counsellor at all prior to the CVS? (If they are not the ones being poo heads) they will be able to check up on when the results are expected to be in.
I know for me, that the wait would not be as bad if i had a time for when the results would be back.
Take care,
K
Kate, no we didn't see a genetic councellor, we saw one when I was pregnant with Matilda and they were really pushing us to terminate the pregnancy even though we said it was not an option and we had to fight to get the information in writting about her chromosome deletion so we could research and digest it ourselves. So otherwise, we had a bad experience and I am trying to avoid them this time if I can.
It is definatly not knowing and therefore waiting for the phone to ring that is the worst part, really at the moment all I want to know is that I will have the results by close of buisness, I hate to think of waiting another weekend.
 Thinking of you hun.
 Hope today finally brings you some news, and an ability to move forward. This holding pattern you have been placed in bites big time. Thinking of you. xoxo
i hope its not to long now till you have results, it must be so hard waiting!!! am thinking of you and your family xxx
Still no results :(
I called the clinic at 10am this morning and asked to speak with the specialist, he was working in another clinic in the morning and was to be in 'my' clinic this afternoon. 3pm came, still nothing, I called again and he was seeing a patient, I finally get a call at 3.30pm and he says that he will follow up the lab doing the test, get another call about 4.30pm to inform the results will be in tomorrow... at last!
In the meantime, at about 3pm, I went to the toilet, when I wiped there was red blood :( just a small amount but I am freaking out, I wiped again 10 minutes later and there was brown blood. I rang the doctor and went in at 4.10pm, she had a look at my cervix and said it is closed and that she sees brown discharge with a small amount of progressed matter, she told me she was unable to say if it was normal spotting or if I am going to miscarry. I have had blood tests done to check my HCG, I should have the results by 9pm. I don't know what to think. I am scared and feel very much in the dark. I wish they had a doppler to check my babies heartbeat but they didn't have one at the clinic :(.
So now that my CVS waiting is finally coming to an end I now have to wait and see the outcome of my bleeding.
Why is all of this happening?
Oh hun, I'm so sorry you are going through all this stress  I'm sure the bleeding was nothing serious and will be fine. The fact that it is now old blood is a real positive sign. I hope that you have the results ASAP tomorrow so you can deal with whatever news the results bring.
Oh DD !
I am  that everything is ok !
